Creators and co-producers of Electric Daisy Carnival UK, Insomniac, are giving EDC headliners a special treat this year. For the first time ever, Insomniac will fly in the the awesome kineticCATHEDRAL Stage, modeled after the incredible stage that premiered during EDC Las Vegas in June 2014 to over 400,000 headliners.

This revamped version stands at 90 feet tall and 240 foot wide, featuring huge 45-foot tall twin owls, with expressive eyes that are illuminated by LED lighting. Twenty multi-coloured lasers on the stage, multiple massive LED screens, and multiple fountains shooting water into the air will wow the crowd, creating the illusion of detailed stained glass windows and displaying the latest in visual design.

Electric Daisy Carnival returns for its third year to the UK in 2015

Today the world-famous dance music festival Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) announced that, for the third year in a row, it will return to the UK on Saturday 11 July, 2015.

A legendary venue, Milton Keynes Bowl provides the perfect setting for EDC UK, while the brightest stars in dance music will light up four breathtaking stages/arenas, each possessing their own unique vibe.  DJs will converge from the four corners of the world to celebrate the enduringly popular genre of techno at neonGARDEN, keeping it deep and dark from dawn to dusk. kineticFIELD presents an exciting mix of big arena electro-house artists, and circuitGROUNDS brings a seminal lineup of drum & bass pioneers who have progressively deconstructed the genre into the cutting-edge sounds and subgenres of today. At cosmicMEADOW, a stellar array of favorites has been assembled to transport Headliners straight to the stratosphere.

LINEUP SO FAR: Critically acclaimed Art Department is deep, dark and minimal. Los Angeles-based Carnage deftly fuses electro, hip-hop, pop and trap into an intoxicating brew that’s dirty, defiant, and diverse. Detroit-born Claude VonStroke, owner of Dirtybird Records and now living the life in Venice Beach, remixes everyone from Kenny Larkin to London Grammar. Cosmic Gate feed off one another’s turntable creativity to whip up a frenzied digital supernova. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have enjoyed a continuously upward trajectory from celebrated DJs to dominating figures in the electronic music industry. Dutch legend Ferry Corsten coaxes maximum emotional impact from his records, ensuring his place at the top of the electronic music Hall of Fame. Showing his masterful skills behind the decks, BBC Radio 1’s very own Friction will be mesmerizing Headliners on four decks with unreleased cuts. Dutch DJ and producer Hardwell won the DJ Mag Top 100 poll for the last two years. High Contrast will be joined by MC Wrec and Ilan Bluestone.

Jamie Jones, leader of the new sound of house, is renowned for his pioneering music, his cross-genre band Hot Natured, his groundbreaking Hot Creations label, and his world-famous event series, Paradise. In less than a decade, he has catapulted himself to stardom by shattering genres and breaking out of the confines of minimal techno. Jamie’s revolutionary sound is an instrumental part of his success, being both artistically innovative, yet easily accessible. Also appearing will be John O’Callaghan, Jordan Suckley B2B Bryan Kearney, Kove and Linguistics—as well as Marco Carola, widely regarded as one of techno’s true pioneers. From his stellar Ibiza residency each summer to his shows across the world, Carola and his Music On parties and record label have become synonymous with cutting-edge music. Markus Schulz is a regular at EDC events around the world and known affectionately by his fans as “the Unicorn Slayer.”

Matrix & Futurebound have defined a whole new era in drum & bass via their skillful fusion of epic, melodic soundscapes with heavyweight dancefloor production and original vocals. Rising star Miguel Campbell and BBC Radio 1’s Mistajam will be in attendance. The debonair Paul van Dyk—German DJ, musician, producer, Grammy winner and torch-bearer for the scene—had the longest unbroken run at #1 in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll, was the first DJ ever to be voted as #1 in Mixmag, and boasts remix and production credits for the likes of U2, Depeche Mode and New Order.

This festival lineup wouldn’t be complete without drum & bass kingpins Pendulum (DJ set) with Verse. Raw and controversial, with momentous killer beats, they are not to be missed. One of the UK’s hottest new talents, Philip George, had the biggest breakout record of 2014 with “Wish You Were Mine.” PureNRG Live and Richy Ahmed will be performing live. Route 94 has quietly yet forcefully established himself as a distinctive young figure in the house music scene. For his latest album project, Cornerstone, Shy FX revisits old-school studio techniques and collaborates with a mouthwatering lineup of special guests. Drum & bass duo Sigma need little introduction; from early releases on labels such as Hospital and Viper Recordings, they have cemented themselves as an integral part of the scene. Steve Aoki head label Dim Mak, and Simon Patterson is a star of UK electro house. Sub Focus’ single releases span a plethora of electronic genres, from drum & bass and dubstep to house music and beyond. One of Holland’s most prized exports, DJ and producer Tiësto is a Grammy nominee and multiple winner of the celebrated DJ Mag poll. His legendary progressive electro house sound—along with his uncanny ability to read a crowd’s energy—makes him a perfect deck magician. Visionquest, wAFF and Will Aktinson round out the lineup, with more to be announced.

New World Punx aka Markus Schulz & Ferry Corsten comes to SW4

Two undisputed electronic heavyweights. Two titans of trance. One unstoppable force. South West Four is pleased to announce that on Saturday 23rd August, Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten will arrive in London to showcase their new project New World Punx for the very first time. After starting out as just a few spontaneous back to back DJ sets in 2012 it became clear that this was a partnership that could inevitably take on the world as one. Both globally celebrated in their own right thanks to individual careers spanning over twenty years, New World Punx demonstrate remarkable levels of chemistrythrough scintillating performances. Deriving from Schulz’s hit ‘The New World’ and Corsten’s anthem ‘Punk’, New World Punx push a bass-driven sound that promises to shake Clapham Common to its core. Having marked their territory with unforgettable appearances at ASOT 600 (Madison Square Garden NYC), ASOT 650 (Netherlands) and Ultra Miami 2014, their first ever performance in the Capital promises to become one of this year’s most cherished moments.

Cosmic Gate are the perfect union of musical minds. Over the past ten years, Nic Chagall and Bossi have evolved into one of the most creative and highly-sought-after electronic acts in the world. With the world of trance unfolding into various different pockets of sound, Cosmic Gate have remained true to their roots and catapulted themselves to the forefront of euphoric sounds. Their cosmological productions go hand in hand with their atomic on-stage synergy to create one of the most powerful partnerships of today. Feeding off each other’s endless energy and turntable wizardry, the German duo have established themselves as a firm favourite within trance’s global community. They played a pivotal part in Armin van Buuren’s ASOT residency at Privilege Ibiza last summer with five standout performances alongside the launch of their brand new residency in Las Vegas. With a mouth-watering SW4 debut to look forward to, Cosmic Gate’s most recent London performance at The Gallery earlier this year saw them rock the Ministry of Sound through to the early hours. With demand already crying out for their return, this emotive performance promises to seduce the senses into a heavenly abyss.

Boasting an unrivalled level of telepathic musical chemistry, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano have firmly established themselves as one of the hottest duos in electronic music. Their insatiable appetite for success and ability to deliver electrifying sets has led them to a brand new summer residency atAmnesia Ibiza for 2014. Last season, their chunky house-based grooves were amongst the most popular on the island via their Sexy By Nature residency at Boom Ibiza, in addition to outstanding performances at SW4’s Tenth Anniversary, Ultra, Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, BPM, and theAmsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Following this their efforts were rewarded with a high profile residency at Las Vegas’ Hakkasan, a headline show at The Heineken Music Hall, as well as a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix earlier this year. Besides their carnival-like performances, the key to their success is theiroutstanding productions which will once again bring sunshine to our beloved Clapham Common.

At just 18 years of age, Danny Avila has become one of the hottest new acts in dance music. From winning ‘Best Newcomer DJ’ at the prestigious Vicious Music Awards aged only 16, through to touring the world last year, Avila has risen through the electronic music ranks based on his searing ability to demolish the world’s most prestigious dance floors. His production talents have seen him gain heavy support from Hardwell, Tiesto, Avicii and Nicky Romero, with releases on the likes of Interscope Records, Big Beat Records, Spinnin’ and Musical Freedom. Having supported Tiesto at a sold out Earl’s Court last December, in addition to several standout performances at Ministry of Sound, Danny’s relationship with the Capital is already an inseparable one. This will be evident in force when he arrives at South West Four on Saturday 23rd August.

Another act making his SW4 debut in 2014 is German producer Jerome Isma-Ae. A firm favourite at The Gallery (Ministry of Sound) after stunning crowds with his dark and broody beats in recent months, Jerome has become renowned worldwide for combing key elements of trance and techno withexquisite drum patterns. As a producer of unique and distinguished basslines, Jerome has become of the best-selling and most in-demand progressive house acts on the planet. His beautiful back-catalogue varies from subtle crafted layers of instantly recognisable beats to peak-time dancefloor sensations.  As an act that has embedded his signature sound whilst constantly adapting at the same time, Isma-Ae draws influence from as far as rock, metal, classical and drum & bass, making him one of this year’s most interesting debutants.

SW4 lineup gains pace as Markus Schulz, Arty and more join the lineup

The four newest acts added to this years SW4 Saturday lineup are trance legend Markus Schulz, house producer Fedde Le Grande, Arty and Super 8 & Tab.

South West Four 2014 will welcome the return of Markus Schulz. As a long time favourite at the Capital’s longest running club night, Markus has become renowned for delivering spectacular sets for The Gallery at Ministry of Sound, in addition to headline appearances at the most prestigious clubs and festivals the world has to offer. Through his outstanding audience interaction, flawless harmonic mixing and intuitive tune selection, Markus has gone on to stun crowds in every corner of the globe. With his brand new album ‘Scream 2’ already storming the charts after its recent release, we simply cannot wait for the Coldharbour Recordings boss to showcase his dominant yet euphoric fusion of house and trance on Clapham Common.

Widely recognised by fans and artists alike as one of the single most defining figures of contemporary house music, Fedde Le Grand returns to SW4 for the first time in six years. Since then, the Flamingo Recordings boss has evolved into one of dance music’s greatest assets, with a CV full of creative beats, contagious grooves and artistic rhythms that are consistently jetted around the world. A regular at the most prominent of festivals, Fedde Le Grand’s production ability has resulted in remixes for the likes of Madonna to Coldplay and Robbie Williams. A true favourite at SW4 HQ, we are incredibly proud to welcome the return of Fedde Le Grand.

After mesmerizing Alexandra Palace with a jaw-dropping performance at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy event last October, Arty has inevitably remained fresh in our minds. Ever since that landmark night, we have fought off fierce competition to secure the sensational Russian for his inevitable SW4 debut. Still in his early 20’s, Arty has already lit up the electronic world with a collection of powerful releases on Anjunabeats, Axtone and Big Beat. With his beautifully melodic remix of London Grammar’s ‘Hey Now’ heavily supported by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Arty is set for world domination in 2014.

Through their innovative approach and intricate production values, Super8 & Tab have stealthily forced their way to the forefront of the trance scene by championing the sound in its purest form. Described by many as one of the weekend’s most memorable highlights, their performance last year earned the pair a welcome return in 2014. Mixing deep brooding vocals with futuristic elements of euphoria, 2013 witnessed the Scandinavian duo deliver their heavenly sound at Tomorrowland, Ultra, Amnesia and The Gallery, in addition to three leading releases on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats.

Subliminal, Bedrock, AN21 & Max Vangelli and more for SW4 2012

SW4 2012 ARENA HOSTS…
SATURDAY:
SUBLIMINAL
THE GALLERY PRESENTS EVOLUTION · BEDROCK
SUNDAY:
TOGETHER
ALL GONE PETE TONG · RAM20

Erick MorilloOn the Saturday house legend Erick Morillo returns to SW4 this summer for his first London appearance in over seventeen months and his ONLY UK Festival performance this year. With his set one of the ‘must see’ performances in London this summer, it makes perfect sense for ‘Subliminal’, his Pacha Ibiza night and trend setting label to take full control of its own tent. On parade will be the same beautiful people and extravagant clubbing experience one has come to expect from Subliminal, with Erick starring alongside An21 & Max Vangelli, Funkagenda, Sneaky Soundsystem, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, Tim Mason and very special guest Roger Sanchez.

Paul van Dyk and London institution ‘The Gallery’ join forces at SW4 2012 to present the biggest trance lineup in London this year.  Featuring an array of talent who PvD personally feels has an affiliation with his new ‘Evolution’ album concept, Paul will be joined by Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Aly & Fila, John O’ Callaghan, Richard Durand, Claudia Cazacu and Gary Proud. Combined with an extraordinary live show, which merges the soundtrack, imposing stage and hypnotic visuals, expect excellence in the art of sound!

John Digweed’s Bedrock returns to SW4 this summer to host an arena bursting at the seams with the best in underground house and techno DJs. In honour of the namesake label, John has been an irrepressible force in London this year. Setting things up perfectly for SW4, his monthly XOYO residency has rekindled that classic Thursday night slot, with capacity crowds filling one of London’s most forward thinking venues. Bedrock has always translated well to the great outdoors and this summer will be no different with John featuring beside Joris Voorn, Âme, Guy Gerber, Robert Babicz, Laura Jones, jozif and the Mixcloud DJ competition winner.

Lethargic after Saturday’s excursion? The booming DJ Magazine arena hosted by Together is bound to revitalise the senses. The Together tent at SW4 2011 was arguably the most energetic, whilst last November’s Together Winter Music Festival at Alexandra Palace confirmed the night as a dominant force. This summer Together packs its bags to host a sixteen date Tuesday night summer residency at the legendary Amnesia Ibiza but returns to Blighty for SW4. This time round Together brings with them the inimitable flair of 2 Many DJs (DJ set), Eric Prydz, Simian Mobile Disco (DJ set), Erol Alkan, Green Velvet, Brodinski & Gesaffelstein and Jeremy Olander.

Pete TongThis summer the world’s undisputed ambassador for electronic dance music returns to South West Four, this time hosting his very own arena. That’s right, SW4 goes ‘All Gone Pete Tong’! The clubbing credentials of All Gone have already been well proven, with a blowout season at Pacha Ibiza last summer, followed by a Bestival showcase and sell-out London warehouse party. In 2012 another Pacha residency has been confirmed, whilst the SW4 arena represents the biggest All Gone party to date. Pete hosts proceedings and is joined by Sasha, Seth Troxler, Maya Jane Coles, Dyed Soundorom, Eats Everything, Jaymo & Andy George and Connected’s Jesse James & Johnny Bloomfield.

Last but not least the biting sounds of Andy C and ‘RAM Records’, revered amongst drum and bass connoisseurs. This year is the seminal label’s 20th Anniversary with the celebrations launching on Clapham Common. Through its association with London nightspots The End, Fabric and Matter, RAM is responsible for some of the greatest clubbing moments the capital has ever experienced. Andy C headlines, bringing with him his audio / visual ‘Alive’ arc, with further drum and bass coming courtesy of Friction, Delta Heavy and Loadstar. Flux Pavilion, Jack Beats, Borgore and Doctor P also bring the bass, making this arena a real SW4 treat.

That’s the arena hosts done and dusted, sure to be gleaming in the sparking South London sun. But these tense tarpaulins are nothing without artists, so let’s take this opportunity to tease out some more. Sit comfortably and enjoy…

ADDED TO SW4 DAY ONE: SAT 25TH AUGUST
AN21 & MAX VANGELLI

SUNNERY JAMES AND RYAN MARCIANO · TIM MASON
VERY SPECIAL GUESTS: LET THE MUSIC PLAY [EXCLUSIVE]

An21 & Max Vangelli begin the latest Saturday additions, after their Ministry of Sound outings have become some of the most talked about on the superclub’s roster. Theatrical breakdowns and jacking grooves have built a reputation that sold out their MOS gig on New Years Eve several weeks in advance. This should come as no surprise, what with the duo being protégés of none other than Swedish House Mafia. Signed to Steve Angello’s trailblazing ‘Size’ label, twelve months of world domination culminated in November’s sensational Essential Mix. Touted as one of the best of 2011, it was crowned by the An21 & Max Vangelli remix of ‘Save The World.’ Previously named in DJ Mag’s ‘Top 5 To Watch,’ it’s peak time house all the way.

AN21 Max Vangelli

“Let The Music Play”; the motto of SW4 over its illustrious nine year history. But for this summer, it bears even more significance! On the Saturday we welcome the top secret project for their world exclusive performance. Encompassing red hot energy and euphoria, their tracks ‘Stars’ and ‘Waves’ have received major radio support in recent weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for more info.

Dynamic duo Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, blur the boundaries of house music in accomplished fashion. Perhaps best known for their rousing re-work of Tiesto’s immortal ‘Lethal Industry,’ only the most skilled could enhance a true classic – re-building it into a deep, funky stormer. As Axwell so eloquently puts it, “if there were a Dutch version of Swedish House Mafia, it would be Sunnery and Ryan.” As if any more endorsement was needed, Morillo has snapped up S&R for an exclusive Subliminal residency at Pacha Ibiza this summer. Demonstrated by the groundbreaking ‘Amazone Project Vol. 3,’ it’s dirty Dutch house at its best.

Tim Mason is a self professed purveyor of pure house music. ‘The Moment’ is one of the anthems of 2012 thus far, having been adopted by Tiesto and Steve Angello. A climatic build that explodes into a devastating hook, this debut track has the accolade of being signed to Angello’s ‘Size.’ With such a global platform to shine, this is most definitely Mason’s moment. New track ‘Amina OMG’ is of the same quality, summing up perfectly his big room house. Both these are sure to send SW4 wild, so check them out and envisage as the sun sets. Just beautiful…

ADDED TO SW4 DAY TWO: SAT 26TH AUGUST
BRODINSKI & GESAFFELSTEIN · DELTA HEAVY · LOADSTAR
JAYMO & ANDY GEORGE · JEREMY OLANDER

JESSE JAMES & JOHNNY BLOOMFIELD

Brodinski & Gesaffelstein, a French pairing that stands apart from their conventional countrymen associates. Brodinski is whirring techno, bass heavy house through to melodic minimal, whilst Gesaffelstein utilises wide ranging excerpts from broody techno and engaging electro. The result is an atmospheric musical soundscape that has to be witnessed live, their contrasting sounds playing off one another in mesmeric fashion. The joint ‘Bromance EP’ and tour has been captivating dance floors with the inimitable underground sound, unique to SW4 this summer. Brodinski and Gesaffelstein back-to-back, a bromance made in heaven!

Delta Heavy are the standard bearers for RAM Records’ new roster of talent. Flying high and proud, with rocking remixes for those at the top of their game; Example, Avicii and Chase & Status amongst their pulsating production portfolio. Their endeavours paid off with ‘Best Producer’ and ‘Best Newcomer DJ’ at the prominent Drum & Bass Arena awards. New EP ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ will definitely take you down a deep and dark D&B tunnel. Aggressive waves of churning bass and blistering beats, exactly the kind of heavy stuff we can expect from the guys at SW4.

Another of the RAM recruits, Loadstar have an inextricable ‘Link To The Past.’ This track described by DJ Magazine as “a huge alien mammoth”, it scooped ‘Best Single’ at the 2010 D&B Arena awards. With such production nous, it’s no wonder acts of such calibre are queuing up to work the Loadstar boys.  For example SW4’s headliners Chase & Status and the chart topping Example! Their production efforts on the latter, earning a sought after gold record for ‘Changed The Way You Kissed Me.’ Guaranteed stars of SW4 2012.

Since starting their fledgling night ‘Moda’ back in 2008, Jaymo & Andy George have always championed the party. Now they hold shindigs all around the world, showcasing their policy of having no music policy whatsoever! A daring strategy, which paid dividends when the Radio 1 Essential Mix rolled into their home town of Lincoln. A riveting Moda musical montage, which included mainly of their own vibrant productions and cheeky remixes, resulted in mass hysteria. This led to a current Radio 1 ‘In New DJs We Trust’ show, plus residencies at We Love Space and Fabric. Plus the recent launch of ‘Moda Black’, an outlet for their darker output.

Up next, another protégé nurtured from the Swedish stable.  Under the wing of Eric Prydz, Jeremy Olander was the guest of honour at his recent Ministry of Sound album launch. Such was the success of his main room outing, Olander’s outlandish approach threatened to overshadow even Prydz himself! An upbeat progressive and heavy melodic sound, which has graced the prestigious Warehouse Project, Gatecrasher and Cocoon clubs in recent months. We can’t wait for ‘Animal Garden’ to be dropped, a rhythmic bassline that blossoms into a cacophony of twilight synth splashes. Irresistible bait, for Clapham’s dancefloor animals.

Completing the hat trick of pairings for this final day, London’s newest kids on the block. Jesse James and Johnny Bloomfield are residents at Connected, one of London’s most esteemed underground house nights. These guys aren’t here just to make up the numbers, but mean serious business with their new track just released. Entitled ‘Chucks Groove’ and sampling Public Enemy, Jesse and Johnny’s deep tribal taster will ensure they make many good friends on the Common.

There you have it. Eight infatuating arenas and a host of smoking line-up additions – that can’t have failed to enhance that undying SW4 hunger. Still to come the final pieces of the South West Four jigsaw. More meaty line-up announcements including our Sunday live headliner, which at the moment is G14 classified. Well not really, but you get the idea…

Paul van Dyk added to SW4 2012 lineup

ADDED TO SW4 DAY ONE: SAT 25TH AUGUST
THE GALLERY PRESENTS ‘EVOLUTION’ FEAT. PAUL VAN DYK
MARKUS SCHULZ · GARETH EMERY
ALY & FILA · JOHN O’CALLAGHAN · RICHARD DURAND
CLAUDIA CAZACU · GARY PROUD

Paul Van DykWhilst it could be said Paul van Dyk needs no introduction, the opposite is true here. Forget the coveted Grammy, consecutive DJ Mag Top 100 triumphs, his magnificent SW4 2007 headline performance and the seminal tracks that defined a generation. As ‘Evolution’ maybe perceived, this isn’t Paul exploring a new sound away from his cherished roots. In fact Evolution inconceivably enhances Paul’s trademark uplifting trance, exacerbated by raw emotion. Fuelled by an illustrious twenty year career, that has kept PvD continually inspiring and empowering the masses. With the album track ‘We Come Together’ already sending shockwaves through club land, expect a host of bespoke Evolution material, especially re-worked for this grand al fresco gathering. A resolve to embrace the latest cutting edge technology, this will be pure dancefloor theatre, symbolic of Paul’s ‘Evolution’ in the flesh.

Markus Schulz is another artist who has continually evolved, with his custom breed of atmospheric trance, plus those darker ‘Dakota’ offerings. Hence earning the landmark title of The Gallery’s international resident, his Ministry gigs always attract a clued up, capacity crowd. South West Four will be no different, enticed by the globally revered radio show ‘Global DJ Broadcast’, which attracts millions of trance enthusiasts each week. Then there’s Markus’ critically acclaimed ‘Coldharbour Recordings’ label, pivotal to Schulz’s well documented rise to fame. Named after Coldharbour Lane in nearby SW9, it’s why Londoner’s consider Markus one of their own. Making this SW4 visit even more poignant, promised magical material from the next in Schulz’s trailblazing ‘City’ series. Entitled ‘Los Angeles 12,’ it’s the kind of broody, melodic madness which ripped up The Gallery tent at SW4 2009.

Expect a host of fresh new music from Gareth Emery, the Garuda God who headlined The Gallery’s mesmeric 2012 opening party. Charting at #13, Gareth is another of the leading artists in the Top 100 and returns this year for the first time since his storming SW4 debut in 2010. Poignant new track ‘Concrete Angel’ looks set to eclipse the landmark success of the sacred ‘Sanctuary’ and will no doubt entice all arms aloft on Clapham Common. Ever since the lush chords of ‘Mistral’ announced him to the world, an unwavering passion earmarks this as a truly standout performance.

Aly & Fila’s sun kissed trance is perfect for the glowing Clapham sunshine. Long standing friends of The Gallery, ‘We Control The Sunlight’ was voted Armin’s ASOT tune of the year in 2011 – and is now an unofficial anthem of not just The Gallery, but trance lovers in general.  New track ‘Coming Home’ is A&F’s latest sparkling sensation, typical of Aly & Fila’s much adored philosophy. To evoke a mass outpouring of joy, that constitutes almost a religious experience. So after helping to celebrate The Gallery’s 17th birthday in April, we lay out the Clapham red carpet four months later. Sure to be a stunning SW4 debut, Aly & Fila were tailor made for this tantalising trance occasion.

John O’Callaghan brought the tough, tearing beats of his Subculture label to The Gallery, towards the end of 2011. Uncompromising by nature, its John’s versatility as a producer that sets this Irish icon apart. His ability to refine these blistering bass lines with sincere vocals is illustrated in the hair-raising soundscapes of ‘Big Sky’ or the electrifying ‘Find Yourself’. More recently, John’s remix of the aforementioned ‘Concrete Angel’ has been embraced by lovers of all genres. A classic re-work, enhancing the lead melody with that JOC stamp of authority. Armin counts himself as a huge fan having personally approved John to mix CD3 of his forthcoming ASOT 550 compilation, one of the greatest honours that can be bestowed. Plus an anticipated Cream Ibiza residency for 2012, completing the JOC summer of love.

There’s no doubt the legendary status, which ‘In Search Of Sunrise’ has amongst trance fans – Richard Durand’s trademark beats having propelled the series into unchartered territory. Take India as the album theme for ISOS 9. Arguably the most forward thinking ever, those Indian beats not immediately synonymous with dance floor devastation. Durand’s SW4 set is sure to contain brand new material from the forthcoming ISOS 10. With Australia the inspiration, it’s a good omen for the sun to shine from Down Under!

Our penultimate powerhouse, a warm welcome for Gallery Queen Claudia Cazacu. Her ‘Haute Couture’ sound is tailor made for the South West Four sun. Finally after last weekend’s excellent set before PvD, Gary Proud returns to London. Vandit’s hottest new recruit, you know what to expect after Saturday’s sell out ‘Evolution’ album launch at Electric Brixton.

Make no mistake. Paul van Dyk’s monumental Evolution experience is sure to lure the global trance family to Clapham. With Evolution and Paul van Dyk, this will be South West Four’s biggest ever trance arena – no matter which metric is used.
