Lounge on the Farm

What

Outgoing’s newest festival in 2011, Lounge on the Farm is located on the gorgeous, unspoilt location of Merton Farm in Canterbury, Kent. Now in its sixth year, Lounge on the Farm has become a much cherished annual event and is well known for its eclectic and forward thinking program of music and superb organic food and ale that is all locally sourced from a 20 mile radius. Add in the fantastic comedy line-up and the weird and wonderful arty goings on at The Playhouse and you can see why Lounge has become such a beloved weekend on the festival circuit.
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever and the first three headliners revealed are The Streets, Ellie Goulding and very special guests Echo and The Bunnymen, with a huge full line-up to follow. A huge new main stage is being added for 2011 to accommodate the superstars confirmed, whilst the Cows will have to find another home for three days as the Cow-Shed, a huge rattling 2000 capacity space, becomes the Dance Arena where you can stomp amongst the hay till the early hours.
A wonderful boutique area has been added to the farm for 2011 to provide that extra experience for those who wish to try “glamping!” You can choose between a Tipi or a Yurt, with sizes ranging from 2 berth to over 15. These traditional nomadic tents benefit from spacious interiors, aesthetic design, and optional furnishings including rugs, cushions, sheepskins, table, and lanterns. You can even book beds and bedding! Staying in a Tipi or Yurt is perfect for a family or group of friends – we have a range of sizes to choose from.
