3 days instead of two, 6 stages total and more than 250 artists from all over the world, including the biggest dubstep line-up in EU history, plus swimming pools, skate ramps, big screen cinema, pre and after parties, silent disco… Rampage is pulling out all the stops!
July 1, 2 and 3, Rampage returns to Kristalpark in Lommel (Belgium), a pristine spot away from everyone and everything, to set up a Walhalla for drum & bass and dubstep fans. After a first, very successful edition in 2019, this second editions of the biggest drum & bass and dubstep party in the world is set to be of the highest possible level. With over 250 acts from all corners of the world, including the likes of turntable don Andy C, studio wizards Camo & Krooked, crowd favourites Macky Gee, Koven and Kanine, recent sensation Luude and bass music heroes like Nero and Modestep, the line-up is looking tastier than ever. Add to that hostings by Star Warz, for the deep end, and Invaderz, for the classic jump-up sound, as well as acts representing every possible flavour of drum&bass, every fan of the genre will be spoiled in abundance.
For the neuro fans, Rampage has the likes of Audio, The Upbeats, Pythius, Teddy Killerz, Ed Rush and Neonlight. For the jump-up gang, there’s acts like Original Sin, Upgrade, Hedex, Turno, Problem Central and Annix. Artists like Metrik, Rene LaVice, Maduk, The Prototypes, Danny Byrd and Tantrum Desire can be expected to play across the board, while Etherwood or Edlan will surely bring the smoothness. Taking care of the rollers are leading performers such as Enei, Levela, S.P.Y., AC13 and Born On Road, while the likes of Bryan Gee and Dillinja can take it back to the old school properly.

With 150 drum&bass artists on the bill, Rampage Open Air ticks every box of the genre, bit it’s also a resurrection of dubstep of sorts, with the biggest dubstep line-up in European history. With loads of new acts from Australia and the US popping up in recent years, plus a renewed intrest for the UK producers, the genre is getting its second wind. From old school heroes like Nero, Modestep and Caspa, to new school favourites like Virtual Riot (who recently made it into DJMag’s top 100 out of the blue), FuntCase, Riot Ten, PhaseOne, Herobust and Spag Heddy, dubstep is taking over an entire stage for 3 days, with extra acts sprinkled out on other stages too.
Add to that a standout live performance of Canadian masterminds Black Tiger Sex Machine and Uk bass house flavours from Holy Goof and Skepsis & Darkzy, this line-up truly brings together all flavours of bass music.

Next to adding absolutely top notch production, with lights, LEDs and lasers as far as the eye can see, Rampage prides itself in offering the best possible experience for its visitors and the festival site will be set up in away to provide the most comfortable circumstances to enjoy the music and the sideshow entertainment. Because next to the biggest line-up a mass music festival ever brought together, there are free swimming pools on the campsite, a skateramp on site with demos every day, there are free bumper cars and other carnival rides, a festival market, big screen cinema to chill out, silent disco afterparty’s and loads more.
After a gruesome 2 years of postponing the annual indoor event, Rampage finally returned to Sportpaleis in March with stellar performances by Noisia, Pendulum, Modestep, Koven, Camo & Krooked & Mefjus, Eptic, Virtual Riot and Murdock, and the team is amped and ready to produce an even more amazing Open Air festival this summer.

Charlotte is fresh off the back of her biggest ever KNTXT party in mid April. It took place in her hometown of Ghent and saw her play a historic 10 hour set to a vast crowd of people who were taken on a real sonic journey. Also in April, Charlotte returned to London’s iconic Printworks for the first time in five years, this time with her KNTXT concept and once again raised the roof. While staying busy on the road, she continues to curate the Apple Music x KNTXT page while cooking up ever fresh sounds in the studio. This latest EP is another subtle evolution in her signature style.
Says Charlotte of the EP, “following up on my latest Asura EP in September, I decided to delve a bit deeper in the world of psychedelia. All the tracks of the EP are psy inspired, some more than others. I’ve been playing these tracks for a while now in the clubs. It’s been a real
pleasure to see the crowd’s reaction and see the amount of track ID requests online. This one is from me to you, I hope you enjoy my Universal Consciousness EP!”
Opener ‘Satori’ is dark and heavy. The chunky, raw drums hit hard and flat, as the squelchy acid synths pan about the mix. An enchanting middle eastern vocal wail brings an extra trance-inducing element that is sure to lock in the hearts and minds of the crowd.
The super ‘Kali’ is a slick and high speed piece that shows the love relation between psy trance and techno. The video game style synths peel off the groove next to alien sound effects, and the subtly evolving acid line burrows deep into your brain.
Then comes the dynamic, bouncy and acid laced-title cut ‘Universal Consciousness’. It’s a fulsome tune with rubbery kicks and visceral 303 loops that will melt the mind, as dancers fall under its hypnotic and tripped out spell.
Last of all is ‘Ahimsa’ with its bright, lashing acid synths and hammering kick drums. It’s the perfect mix of physical groove and psyched-out synth work, and is perfect for both sweaty basements and vast main rooms alike. When the mystical flutes come in, it takes things to another level entirely.
This is another all consuming EP of innovative techno from Charlotte de Witte.

From its home at London’s Studio 338, Release has quickly become one of the UK’s most fresh and forward-thinking parties. They have hosted a number of sold out events including a huge New Year’s Eve celebration and now the party rolls into the White Isle. The home for it is the newly refurbished and already legendary Es Paradis. As one of the oldest club’s on the White Isle it has a stripped back feel, a music centric party vibe and punchy sound systems as well as retractable roof for unique open air dancing experiences.
This summer it will be home to a Release residency that will offer a proper place to party away from the expensive table service and VIP fuss of many other places. The afternoon-into-evening party will therefore have a unique feel that takes you back to the early, no nonsense days of Ibiza.
The first party for this game-changing season will be headlined by queen of DC10 Tania Vulcano who makes an earth shattering switch to Release this Summer, Richie Hawtin’s Minus superstar Magda, with a bag full of her trademark space-disco minimal and acclaimed Italian Yaya who brings his African roots to his hypnotic and groovy sounds on labels like Desolat and his own Tamango Records.
Next up are UK techno titans Dense & PIka who have had many big releases on labels like Drumcode, plus Sankeys regulars and French duo Amine Edge & Dance, Music On favourites Neverdogs and a serious serving of sleezy, and Cocoon imprinted Fabe with more from Andrew Kay and Bl_k Noise man Hypoxia.
This limited capacity Opening party will sell out, so move quickly to secure your place on the legendary dance floor.

Both Unorthodox and Mandidextrous recognise the impact queer communities had when rave culture was founded in the 80s and how the scene of today has deviated form its roots, resulting in an environment unsuitable for the community, one that is often deemed ‘unsafe’ and suffers from ‘toxic masculinity’.
“Music is for everyone to enjoy, whatever the genre, without the fear of confrontation or judgment” says Nathan X, drag queen Drum and Bass DJ and founder of Unorthodox.
This will be Unorthodox’ biggest show to date. Since their inception in 2019, they have made waves in the industry, with recognition from major key players such as UKF, Mixmag, Hospital Records and are headed for a summer packed full of festival takeovers and their own stage at Tomorrowland, Belgium. Mandidextrous has similarly been making noise, fresh off the EQ50 mentorship program, with releases on UKF and RAM and a combined following of over 100k, they believe
“It’s time to shake things up in the D&B scene and provide a safe and inclusive place for everyone on the gender spectrum, to feel equal and accepted and to prove that there is space for us not only on the dance floor but in the industry too”.
Unorthodox and Mandidextrous team up to bring ‘The Queer’s Platinum Jubilee’ on the jubilee itself! The night brings together queer acts from across the drum and bass scene. IMANU, bi-sexual DJ from the Netherlands, will headline the Village Underground date; the legendary John B joins the bill as well as award winning Scottish DJ, Mrs Magoo. Chickaboo, the first ever woman to MC over Drum and Bass, hosts the show alongside Plymouth’s Maddy V and electrifying drag MC, Bennitrate. Other Unorthodox residents join the line up, acting as glue to pull this ground-breaking, queer-focused, diverse line up together. On top of this immense line up, the full family of Unorthodox queens and performers will bring the show to life alongside an immersive production experience.
