Tinie Tempah will return to the main stage at this years Global Gathering after last appearing there in 2012.
With the festival’s most diverse and eclectic line-up to date, GlobalGathering 2014 has confirmed UK rapper and chart topper Tinie Tempah has been added to the main stage bill. Having garnered success across the globe, Tinie brings with him an incredible live show packed with a plethora of hits. The Brit Award winning rapper’s career has grown from strength to strength and last year saw him release his eagerly anticipated second album ‘Demonstration’. Having supported Tinie from the get-go, GlobalGathering are thrilled to have him back as a main stage festival headliner for 2014.

The Summer Festival Guide brings you the latest news about Love Saves the Day which has for the third successive year set to sell out well in advance of the festival. Weekend tickets and Saturday tickets are now completely sold out a remarkable seven weeks in advance of the show and Sunday tickets are selling fast with the third tier tickets set to sell out imminently.
Sunday’s Love Saves The Day line up celebrates the very best in electronic and bass music culture with Team Love yet again bringing the globe’s most visionary sonic pioneers to Bristol’s Castle Park.
Sunday will see the mighty Sbtrkt headline the main stage at Love Saves The Day with one of his first live performances of the year playing a set of classic tracks and premiering new material. From his early dub-tinged club focused singles to the crossover success of his self-titled debut album, Sbtrkt has never been afraid to push musical boundaries and his eagerly anticipated album is due for release in 2014.
Preceding Sbtrkt will be one of the most respected names in music JamieXX. Outside of his day job in Mercury Prize winning electronic indie outfit the XX, Jamie is a prolific producer and remixer. His signature combination of haunting melodies and low key club percussion provide the backbone for his work. Jamie has just premiered his new single Sleep Sound, which is set for release on 5th May, and his set will feature some exclusive new material.
Surely one of the most hyped and eagerly anticipated albums of 2014 already is forthcoming from Neneh Cherry with RocketNumberNine. Produced by man-of-the-moment FourTet, with guests such as Robyn featuring, it is Neneh’s first solo album in 17 years. Neneh also has a special affinity with Bristol, having been amongst the first to champion the ‘Wild Bunch’ who later became ‘Massive Attack’, lending them her studio many years ago that enabled the recording of the seminal ‘Blue Lines’. This is going to be a pretty special Bristol show for us all.
Love Saves The Day is delighted to welcome DJ, producer and Magnetic Fields head honcho Will Holland aka Quantic who makes a rare UK appearance with his new live show.
Despite the generations between them, dub stalwart Adrian Sherwood and dubstep veteran Pinch have teamed up to create an incredible clash of dub, reggae and modern electronic music. This will be the first live manifestation of their collaboration. Drum & bass legend Shy FX, bass boy of the moment Dismantle and another of Radio 1’s champions of dance music B. Traits will also perform highly anticipated sets. The legendary Greg Wilson will take to the decks at the UK’s finest electronic music festival with Gentleman’s Dub Club, Laid Blak, Special Request, A Sagittariun, Jus Now, Congo Natty and many others ensuring that festival goers enjoy the very best electronic sounds in the beautiful surrounds of Castle Park.

One of the years family friendly summer festivals Camp Bestival brings together a top lineup of comedians to keep everyone laughing throughout the weekend.
Everyone loves a laugh, so we are particularly please that top comedian Milton Jones will be leading a side-splitting line-up of clowns at this year’s Camp Bestival. Renowned for his deadpan delivery and surrealistic flights of fancy, all encapsulated in the most sublime one liners, Milton is a regular star of Mock the Week, as well as a stalwart of BBC Radio 4s comedy output and he has a natty line in very loud shirts too, so don’t miss him. There will also be funny business throughout the weekend with comedy sets from The Pajama Men, Nat Luurtsema, Ben Norris, Markus Birdman, Colin Hoult, Matt Reed, Jim Smallman, George Egg, Sarah Bennetto and the amazing Comedy Club 4 Kids!
We’ve also got even more incendiary live music to get you and the kids jumping from intergalactic punk rock hip-hoppers Pop Will Eat Itself, cutting edge producer and Gorgon City and Rudimental collaborator MNEK, British Jazz legend Courtney Pine, Northern Irish 90s pop behemoth D:Ream, New Orleans hip-hop Brass Band Hot 8 Brass Band and internet sensation Brushy One String, whose Chicken in the Corn video was a worldwide phenomenon earlier this year. There will also be sets from Ady Suleiman, Beans On Toast, Bo Saris, Rory Mcleod, Indiana, Lucky Elephant, Too Many T’s, Dream Themes, Coco And The Butterfields, Cut A Shine and Feckless.

On the main stage, previously announced headliner and prevailing house legend Carl Cox will now be joined by international techno connoisseur Marco Carola.
One of the most widely respected DJs in the game, Marco Carola has been mixing techno for over twenty years, and currently stands at the forefront of the global techno scene. Originally from Napoli in southern Italy, Carola has travelled the world as a producer, DJ and label owner, releasing five critically-acclaimed albums in the process. Renowned for his legendary 2006 Fabric mix, which made a significant contribution to the mid-00s minimal trend, his extensive touring schedule has seen him play countless gigs in Ibiza, New York and all over South America. Carola’s high energy sets can often be up to eight hours long, taking audiences on a journey and demonstrating his impressive three deck skills! High Definition is thrilled to have such a globally respected star to joining proceedings.
High Definition Festival is also proud to introduce the ‘Toolroom Knights Stage’ featuring label founder and Grammy nominee Mark Knight. Over the last seven years, Knight has never left DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll and has notched up performances at some of the world’s most iconic music venues. Joining Mark Knight are the increasingly prolific house duo Prok & Fitch, who having already racked up some impressive achievements on and off dance floors the world over are set to impress Eridge Park with their heavy-duty sound. Also stamping their mark on High Definition will be newcomer Weiss and Amsterdam’s Mike Mago, who has already won support from a wide variety of powerhouse producers including Tensnake and Josh Wink. But that’s not all- the Toolroom Knights line up is completed by a plethora of fast-rising acts including: Bearcubs, George Andrews, Pete Griffiths, Mark Dickson and Mike Mac plus a B2B set fromLuke Jacquin, James Stewart and GW Harrison!
The team behind High Definition have also recently announced their VIP Arena, which is set to play host to some of Ibiza’s finest regulars. Showcasing their progressive dance floor smashers in the VIP arena are the HoxtonWhoresalongside the adroit sounds of DJs Deeptrak and Soul Avengerz, not to mention 2 Good Souls, Mike Linnane, Terence Kay, Sam C and Banton. As if that weren’t enough there’s more in the form of the Tech Twins, Mark Hollis& Jamie Watts, Ben Jammin & Harry Ashby, Chris V, Charlie A, Cliff Knowles and Chris Passion.
These recent additions will join (amongst others) TheMartinez Brothers, who are gearing up for an amazing six-hour set of latin-infused house and techno, as well as Gorgon City, currently riding high with ‘Ready for Your Love’ and ‘Real’, and Joy Orbison, who will be bringing his sublime bass hybrids to High Definition alongside house and techno greats Dusky, Filsonik, George Fitzgerald and Jon Rundell.
Flying the flag for bass music are Mistajam, recent chart-topper Route 94, dubstep don Artwork b2b with Zinc,Ms Dynamite, the eclectic as-ever Oneman, and Radio 1’s B.Traits plus drum & bass royalty Shy FX.

It was the Summer Festival Guide's first time at Miami's Ultra Music Festival and after last years amazing show and live video streams we were quite exicted to be there. Some of the biggest acts in the world play together at elbow's distance away at multiple different beautifully crafted stages. Miami Ultra has a range of different environments to excite and encourage your music pallet. The Iconic Main Stage has to be the most impressive but with stages like the live Amphitheatre and smaller stages like the UMF radio stage surrounded in Palm trees and lit with the glow of the high rise apartments surrounding BayFront Park there is something for everyone.
It was incredible to see how buzzed the locals and people attending the festival were yesterday. Just like being part of the live video stream but watching it from the ground rather than helicopter or flying in by speedboat down the coast. The main stage filled very quickly starting with The Chainsmokers known for their sweeping record “SELFIE” seen all over the internet and through apps like VINE and Instagram.
ShowTek and LaidBack Luke played early in the afternoon after doors opened at 3PM and the main arena quickly filled. Some of the most daring outfits and Slinky style EDM costumes covered in friend share beads to exchange to people they come into contact with were proudly on display and is something that is ingrained in Electronic Dance Music (EDM) now. Appearances from Sean Paul and Major Lazer was a surprise, performing songs from 2002 “Gimme the light”
Miami Ultra festival looks best during the dusk hours of the evening as light drops and the vibrancy of the stages is know to all Miami. The sun sets through the skyline and projects an orange glow over the main crowd arena area, Projectors light up the Intercontinental Miami Hotel overlooking the Bay Front. Big names one after the other hit the stages all round, causing the crowds to go insane and hustle to see their favourite artists. The energy is infectious and the fire and CO2 cannons create an incredible universe to saturate your senses, bouncing hands, one man in a wheel chair lifted to the crowds, the energy is that of the festival, electric!
Being Miami, you can only expect great weather and Friday & Sunday this year both had a massive amount of sun, and left many feeling a little red in the mornings after, UMF (Ultra Music Festival) are very health conscious and during set changes at the main stage they do remind people to pace themselves and to drink plenty of water.
News which hit everyone on Saturday afternoon projected through the UMF App was that Avicii who wasset to play as the headline act on day two (Saturday Night) was in hospital and was to be replaced by the bright eyed trickster DeadMau5. Avicii suffered from health issues after he had been in pain again after initially seeking medical advise days before. Tim Bergling (Avicii) needed to return to hospital because the pain became too much to carry through his set Avicii is now set to have his Gall Bladder removed in a low risk surgical operation.
Replacement Joel Thomas Zimmerman aka DeadMau5's set that Saturday made for more music news, after trolling on Martin Garrix and his number 1 single “Animals” and replacing the drop with “Old McDonald had a Farm”. With the hook on repeat, Deadmau5 came out from behind the desk to cheer on the crowds. Zimmerman was extremely enthusiastic about how much he enjoyed “that” song.. (referencing “Old McDonald” instead of “Animals” by Martin Garrix).
Playing through on Saturday and Sunday on the live stage know as the Amphitheatre, organised by Live Nation acts like Dizzee Rascal playing “Bonkers”, Example “All the wrong places”, Chase and Status and Basement Jaxx played to which compared to the UK and Europe where they would normally be surrounded by thousands of people. This intimate stage seated around 500 this meant you could get up close and personal with your favourite rapper or DJ.
Still to come was the ever popular and quirky Mr David Guetta coming on penultimate Sunday at 9:40PM smashing an entrance with “My Freedom” and introducing the crowd to a new track called (Ten Feet Tall Culture Code Remix which Guetta remixed for Afrojack). You can imagine this brought a serious amount of fire and raised hands! This Mix can be listened to from the Live feed recorded that night here…
HardWell was set to take the lime light for the finale of the 2014 UMF Main stage. Starting slow like an introduction to a thriller movie, the built up gave you shivers and made your hair stand on end. Starting with an unidentified mix to build up and then dropping into the familiar but harder version of “My Freedom” got the crowd energised once more. Not that Miami Ultra fans ever seem to stop bouncing and dancing, his set featured “Dare You (Cash Cash Remix)” slowing into drums and percussion mixes then the boss of base hit everyone with a remixed version of Calvin Harris & Alesso’s “Under Control” To conclude another impressive year in Miami, Hardwell ended with an incredible song “Spaceman” which was one of my highlights. As he came to the front to thank everyone for an incredible year and for sharing it with him, Ultra send the Miami crowd crazy with an impressive set of fireworks, fire and the consistent cheering of a strong global crowd. Well done Ultra Music Festival, we can't wait to get back their next year.

At just 18 years of age, Danny Avila has become one of the hottest new acts in dance music. From winning ‘Best Newcomer DJ’ at the prestigious Vicious Music Awards aged only 16, through to touring the world last year, Avila has risen through the electronic music ranks based on his searing ability to demolish the world’s most prestigious dance floors. His production talents have seen him gain heavy support from Hardwell, Tiesto, Avicii and Nicky Romero, with releases on the likes of Interscope Records, Big Beat Records, Spinnin’ and Musical Freedom. Having supported Tiesto at a sold out Earl’s Court last December, in addition to several standout performances at Ministry of Sound, Danny’s relationship with the Capital is already an inseparable one. A firm favourite at The Gallery (Ministry of Sound) after stunning crowds with his dark and broody beats in recent months, Jerome has become renowned worldwide for combing key elements of trance and techno withexquisite drum patterns. As a producer of unique and distinguished basslines, Jerome has become of the best-selling and most in-demand progressive house acts on the planet. His beautiful back-catalogue varies from subtle crafted layers of instantly recognisable beats to peak-time dancefloor sensations. As an act that has embedded his signature sound whilst constantly adapting at the same time, Isma-Ae draws influence from as far as rock, metal, classical and drum & bass, making him one of this year’s most interesting debutants.

WATCHET LIVE FESTIVAL have announced details of the three further main stage acts; Bellowhead, Boney M and Dub Pistols that complete their 2014 main stage line-up.
They join previously announced main stage headliners Toploader, Bad Manners, Eric Faulkners Bay City Rollers and Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band, festival house band, The Wurzels and more, in what is the festivals strongest and most diverse bill in its eight year history.
Bellowhead are 5-times winner of Best Live Band at the Radio 2 Awards. They have transported folk music into hitherto unknown territory and spearheaded the new folk boom. The Summer Festival Guide can reveal the third headliner announced for this years Lake District's Kendal Calling festival is none other than pop star and show man Example.
Bringing his energetic show to the stunning surrounds of the Lake District, Example will perform his massive hits such as ‘Changed The Way You Kissed Me’, ‘Kids Again’, ‘Kickstarts’, ‘Stay Awake’, ‘Won’t Go Quietly’, ‘Say Nothing’ and ‘All The Wrong Places’, the lead single from his new album ‘Live Life Living’ which will be released in June. Example’s live shows are joyous affairs and this crowd pleasing set of sing-along anthems set to a crescendo of fireworks will live long in the memory.
Augustines are undoubtedly one of the best recording and live acts around, a band who have always been able to tap into the raw emotion of their personal experiences and channel it into cathartic, teary eyed but smiling, booze beaten rock and roll. The band have just released their second, self titled album and with honest, passionate emotion dripping from every chord and lyric, this is a band who somehow sound massive and instantly accessibly whilst betraying no cynicism or pomposity. They are a fitting headliner for the Calling Out stage.
