Lovebox announce second wave of artists for 2016

Now, Lovebox unveils even more incredible names and forward-thinking stage partners, cementing its status as London’s most diverse and expansive music festival.

South London MC Giggs joins the bill, performing on the Noisey stage on Friday. Giggs has been an integral part of the grime scene for the past decade, and remains just as relevant today, lending scene-stealing verses to the likes of JME, Chase and Status, Dizzee Rascal and Waka Flocka Flame in recent times.

Also appearing on the Noisey stage will be British music legend Shy FX alongside Stamina MC. Shy FX’s sets are infamously incendiary, and his appearance at Lovebox is set to be no different.

Thump will be programming some of the finest names in electronic music on the Saturday. The likes of acclaimed producer/DJ George FitzGerald, Canadian duo Bob Moses and composer/musician Rival Consoles will be appearing alongside Kiasmos, Reza Athar, Gemini Brothers and Cici, plus a very special guest TBA.

Some of the freshest, most exciting new acts out there will also be appearing in the Park. Genre-hopping singer-songwriter Izzy Bizu will take to the Main Stage on the Friday. Elsewhere, hotly-tipped vocalist Jorja Smith joins Soundcrash on the Saturday.

Lovebox friend and favourite Heidi returns to the Park to headline Kopparberg Urban Forest hosted by promoters Krankbrother on the Friday, preceded by a selection of incendiary DJs including the internationally renowned Tom Trago, Dutch house legend William Kouam Djoko and Amsterdam nightlife staple Cinnaman, as well as Krankbrother and Jack C.

On the Saturday, the Urban Forest will be taken over by a diverse selection of up-and-coming talent, including rapper/singer/songwriter Tiggs Da Author, psyche-pop four piece Beaty Heart, soul singer Jodie Abacus, mysterious electro-soul newcomer Seramic and experimental artist Kojey Radical. There’ll also be appearances from Cosmic Strip and Supa Dupa Fly featuring Emily Rawson and Matchstick.

Lovebox are delighted to welcome back Dalston basement club Visions on board to host their own stage. Visions has garnered a reputation for being one of London’s most exciting night spots. Their parties are legendary and special guests are guaranteed…a few may just appear at their stage on the Friday alongside Visions residents Darq E Freaker, Star.One, Snips and many more.

Radio station NTS – broadcasting from Dalston, across the globe – will be hosting the cream of hip hop and electronic talent. There will be appearances from Soulection producer Sango, rising US rapper Denzel Curry, London beatmaker Lil Silva, plus Hannah Faith, CKtrl, Motive and Tim & Barry.

Corona Sunsets will be bringing the sound of the Balearics to Victoria Park with their stunning mandala structure. The Friday sees sets from Warp act Nightmares On Wax’s Soundsystem, remix master The Reflex, innovative R&B/soul singer-producer Andrew Ashong as well as Thris Tian, Desert Sound Colony, Kasra V and Wild Fantasy.

Meanwhile, the Saturday will feature the inimitable Norman Jay MBE, disco group Crazy P Soundsystem, the boogie boat that is PBR Streetgang and disco duo Unabombers plus Pete Herbert, Ray Mang & Bill Brewster, Mo Kolours, Bobby Pleasure and Tayo & Tope.

There’s so much to explore in the Park – from fabric bringing their world class soundsystem to a field for the very first time, to Elrow’s Brazilian confetti-coated party to the carnival spirit of The Tropiskarnival Bandstand and What Hannah Wants’ specially curated arena; plus i-D presents VIP: Ocean Drive, inspired by the hedonistic lifestyle and intriguing charm of Miami Beach – there’s plenty of pockets of live music and world class DJ sets to discover in incredible settings

Elsewhere, there’s plenty more to experience onsite. London’s best restaurateurs will be serving up delicious street food, revellers can browse fashion and beauty boutiques from the city’s finest creatives, or spin around at the Bump Roller Disco, and discover spoken word at The Voicebox presented by Apples and Snakes and Roundhouse…plus much, much more.

2016 looks set to be a definitive and unmissable year for Lovebox Festival – a two day celebration of music, food, fashion and creativity that looks certain to be the musical moment of the summer.

David Guetta, Tiesto, Eric Prydz and more to headline Electrobeach 2016

France’s biggest electronic music festival Electrobeach is set to have worldwide fans gravitating to it’s latest edition, as it prepares to return to the stunning Port-Barcarès for its fourth official anniversary this July. In a line-up packing enough weight to make galactic waves, a celestial cast of David Guetta, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Axwell / Ingrosso, Hardwell, Martin Solveig and many more are amongst confirmed names for 2016 – with the festival announcing the addition of a brand new techno-focused stage for the very first time.

Constituting a solar system of acts big enough to have orbits of their own,Electrobeach eclipses all for this year’s three-day spectacular. French supernova David Guetta acts as captain, with a whole array of groundbreaking and ground-shaking artists set to join him. ‘Opus’ hitmaker Eric Prydz will make an appearance alongside Dutch superstar Martin Garrix, with the Tiësto returning in triumph as do Martin Solveig and Axwell / Ingrosso. The festival even welcomes red carpet rebel Ruby Rose to it’s A-list clique, as well as Moombahton master Dillon Francis, Nile Rodger’s and Rihanna collaboratorNicky Romero and IDMA’s number 1 Global DJ Hardwell.

Upholding the French Tricolour and all the passion of its dance community, the ‘Treasured Soul’ of Michael Calfan is confirmed, as well as one of Forbes’ ’30 Under 30’s DJ Snake. This year’s Beach Stage will be purely focused on the countries most exciting exports – welcoming the likes of Norman Doray andGregory Klosman – and sees Electrobeach putting French DJ’s and nightclub residents at its front and centre throughout the weekend. Paris’ Fun Radio are also on the scene with their specialist selectors, set to air a ‘le son dancefloor’ out of studio and under the sun; likewise, Flaix FM crash the party from Catalan to flex their own respected residents. In a festival first, Electrobeach’s patriotism will be pushed even further with a prized demonstration from thePatrouille de France – a flyover of famous flair that will fill cloudless skies in what’s set to be a stunning weekend highlight.

Proving themselves attuned to the meteoric rise of techno, Electrobeach’s next and last trick for 2016 is to call on the cut of crews in Cocoon, Luciano & Friends, and a yet to be announced third force. With Cocoon’s very own SvenVäth on board, the festival packs no punches with the addition of dance legendLuciano. Label residents Marcus Fix and Cesar Merveille will represent each brand respectively, making Electrobeach’s latest expansion both equally authentic as it is exciting.

Corrine Bailey Rae and more added to Live at Leeds

Already boasting an untouchable array of current favourites and rising trendsetters Live At Leeds 2016 has added even more names to their 10th Anniversary spectacular, cementing its position as the go-to destination for the music that will soundtrack 2016.

Leading the new announcement is multi-award winning Yorkshire rose Corrine Bailey Rae returning 10 years on from the phenomenal success of her self-titled debut album. Lead by the classic wordings of “Like A Star” and “Put Your Records On”, it flew straight into the number 1 spot and soundtracked endless summer romances. Her hotly anticipated return is sure to be a defining moment of 2016, returning to the city where it all began with a momentous performance atLive At Leeds 2016.

Joining her on the line up is the electro-soul vocals of Shura, whose breathtaking tales of heartbreak and love has seen her garner acclaim including placements on the BBC Sound Of lists and more. With her debut album “Nothing’s Real” due to drop this year, expect anticipation to reach fever pitch for her performance at Live At Leeds. Sydney trio DMA’s will be bringing their BritPop inspired melodic rock to Live At Leeds fresh from the acclaimed release of debut album “Hill’s End” and their most recent sold-out UK Tour. Expect revelry and adulation, as DMA’s bring the hits to Live At Leeds 2016.

The Boxer Rebellion will be bursting into the city centre with their undeniable alternative rock whilst Zane Lowe-approved Mancunions Spring King are set to tear down the festival with their barrage of indie-rock gold. Three piece Scottish risers Fatherson will be bringing their heavy euphoric blend of rock to the stage in Leeds this year, with an unrivalled set that’s sure to be a true festival moment. Live at Leeds will also be greeted by the lush soulful pop sounds of female East London artist Jones, indie hallmarks The Hunna, rising buzzers Haelos, the in-your-face and revolutionary upstarts Shame, riotous rockers Otherkin and many more names and faces that are sure to leave their footprint on the music scene over the next 12 months.

Fusion Festival announces Jason Derulo & Olly Murs as headliners

Today Fusion Festival and 107.6 Capital FM Liverpool announced a stellar line-up of pop royalty to perform at Fusion Festival, Otterspool Promenade on the 3rd & 4th September.

Serial chart-topper Jason Derulo will headline Day One, along with Tinie Tempah, Labrinth, Craig David, Sigala, Fleur East and Krept & Konan. On Sunday the 4th of September an exclusive festival headline 90-minute performance from Olly Murs will bring the two day event to a close. Also performing on Sunday are Busted, The Vamps, Nathan Sykes, Lawson, Ella Henderson and Jamie Lawson.

The massive line-up was revealed this morning exclusively on the 107.6 Capital FM Liverpool Breakfast Show with Adam, Gemma and Imogen. There are many more acts still to be announced – listeners should keep it Capital to find out who else is going to be added to the stellar line-up.

In an exclusive headline festival performance, Olly Murs and his band will close the show on Sunday night with a breathtaking 90 minute show featuring all his classic hits from ‘Troublemaker’ and ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ through to his recent hits ‘Wrapped Up’ and ‘Kiss me”. The six time BRIT Award nominated artist was catapulted into the limelight when he stole the hearts of the nation with his cheeky charms on the X Factor 2009. Murs can now boast 3 Number One albums and a sensational live show that sells out arenas all across the country.

The countdown is officially on as Boardmasters is now just four months away, and to celebrate, even more acts have today been added to this year’s line-up.Maximo Park, SG Lewis, Michael Kiwanuka and more will be joining the likes of Chase & Status, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Primal Scream on the glorious Cornish Coastline from Wednesday 10 – Sunday 14 August 2016 for Cornwall’s own surf and music festival. A further nineteen acts have been added to the line-up today, with rockers Maximo Park, Michael Kiwanuka whose new album ‘Love and Hate is out soon, one of the hottest rising UK producers SG Lewis, The Big Moon repping the ladies, Northern alt-rock band Dinosaur Pile Up, the infectious Youth Club and the bluesy duoSmokin’ Durrys. Creamfields add Cirez D, Chase & Status, Martin Solveig and more

The UK’s biggest dance music festival Creamfields just got bigger with the addition of more acts to the already stacked bill! First up is a rare artist who has cleverly managed to straddle the mainstream and underground and for the first time ever at Creamfields will be performing under his techno guise Cirez D aka Eric Prydz. He’ll be joined by multi award winning, platinum record selling DJ/producers Chase & Status (DJ Set), as headliners in their own right they’ll be at the helm of an all new arena on Friday 26^th August.

Flying the French flag high are three unmissable French musical powerhouses, first is an artist responsible for steering a new wave of electronic music –future house, its maestro Martin Solveig, next up is Riton, he first emerged as part of the Ed Banger crew and one half of Carte Blanche with DJ Mehdi, however the success of his recent endeavours (‘Rinse & Repeat’ anyone?) under his new moniker have firmly put him on the global map and making his Creamfields debut is mysterious G-House master Malaa. And completing the line-up are a trio of artists leading the charge in the new wave of breakthrough acts namely Ghastly, Sigala, Lee Walker and Manse.

Creamfields returns this August Bank Holiday with an unbeatable line up, with an extra day added, over 200 of the world’s hottest dance acts and this being the last ever show in the UK for headliner Avicii you can see why it’s become one of the hottest festival tickets of the year and with many of its ticket allocations already sold out Creamfields UK 2016 is on course to be its fastest selling to date.

Cirque de la Quirk returns to Isle of Wight Festival

Following on from the success of last year’s Cirque de la Quirk stage takeover, The Isle of Wight Festival today announces that Cirque is back for 2016 – and this time… for the whole weekend!

Over the weekend of 9th-12th June, festival-goers will get the chance to step into a worry free nonsensical world. From live body painting to strutting your stuff in their popular dance off, there is something for all ages, shapes and mental states at the Circus!

You’ll be able to experience the Backstage Creation Tent, aimed to relax and rest your ringing ears by hunkering down on bean bags and pillow pits or getting involved with colouring therapy, creative workshops and face painting. Head to the Wonky Races Tent to spice up the weekend with silly, challenging and competitive games, before heading to the pièce de résistance: The Main Stage! Compered by Cirque’s very own Jackie Jibbles and Madame Molly, Cirque de la Quirk will have musical treats to get everyone bouncing and dancing for the whole weekend. Electric Swing Circus, Dub Pistols, Benny Page, Far Too Loud and Freear (Slamboree DJ set) are just a few of the artists lined up to grace the Cirque, along with circus performers from the wonderful people at Forgotten Circus. There’ll be enough to make the most statuesque of tail feathers wiggle with verve and vigour!

Plus, to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday and Queen + Adam Lambert’s headlining slot on the Sunday, Cirque de la Quirk will be hosting a special tongue-in-cheek, very English (and slightly rowdy) tea party! Think bunting, chaps and moustaches with a dollop of electro swing beats provided by Cirque’s lovable favourites, Miles Metric and the Rumpsteppers!

On Friday 22nd April at Mode in Ladbroke Grove, London, The Isle of Wight Festival will present ‘Cirque de la Quirk’s Warm Up Wiggle’. Join the ridiculousness of the Wonky Races, experience the immersive performances from the Forgotten Circus and dance the night away in preparation for the start of Summer, The Isle of Wight Festival 2016!
