Over our fourteen-year history, our huge main stage has set the tone for what we try to create across the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Whether it’s stadium headliners or future stars, we always put forth exciting and breath-taking talent that sets the standard across the whole festival! The summer of 2017 will see us take things to the next level as we present the most accomplished main stage line up we have ever assembled!
 
Returning to once again host the SW4 Saturday main stage for the second consecutive year will be none other than TOGETHER. The club night, responsible for ground breaking residencies at clubbing temples Amnesia Ibiza and Ministry of Sound, leads the way when it comes to combining the very best in bass and house acts and after last summer’s main stage mayhem we couldn’t think of a better collective to host proceedings again this year!

PENDULUM (LIVE)

A jaw dropping live act, with an unparalleled reputation to destroy the world’s greatest festivals and stadiums on the big occasion, SW4 is proud to present the return of Pendulum to the capital for one night only, in their first performance in London in over half a decade. Scheduled to close our mammoth main stage on Saturday 26th August, this is no doubt the bands biggest London show to date – supported by colossal production and mind-blowing visuals conceived for a heart thumping end to Day One.

In the space of seven years, Tinie Tempah has become a global phenomenon and one of the most recognizable voices in music. Known for his seven number one hits, nine major awards and an accolade of sold out world tours, there is no doubt that Tinie is considered one of the most popular and dominant artists on the planet. Whether it be selling out London’s 02 Arena or stadium’s in Rio, the appetite for this star is truly insatiable. Come August Bank Holiday Saturday, Tinie will step on stage and showcase tracks from his brand new album ‘Youth’, which is tipped by many to be one of the albums of the year, as well as all the hits with which he has made his name. Hailing from South London, it’s only fitting for this sensation to return to his roots and take centre stage and put on a performance that will rank as one of the highlights of his hugely successful career!

DEBUT LONDON FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE & VERY SPECIAL GUEST:  MARSHMELLO

A thunderous London debut in February saw Marshmello sell out the legendary Ministry of Sound in record time and is now back in the capital for his biggest ever show. No artist has ever exploded onto the electronic music scene in such a short space of time like this American phenomenon has. The past year has seen Marshmello amass an unstoppable army of fans, bulldozing through arena tours in the U.S and bookings at the most prestigious and high-profile events across Europe. His performance on SW4 Saturday will be his first EVER London festival performance and with the American seldom stepping foot in this country, it’s an ultra-rare opportunity for the Mello gang to see their man in action! Set to perform before our headliners Pendulum, he is sure to put on a display that will keep chins wagging for years to come!

The last couple of years have witnessed the duo produce back-to-back number one singles, pick up a BRIT award and embark on a sellout UK tour. With millions of fans globally waiting for their next hit single, the pair have the world in the palm of their hands. We cannot wait to welcome one of the most dominant and prolific acts in dance music right now to play a full live show at our fourteenth installment of SW4. 

WILKINSON (LIVE)

After blasting to fame in 2012 with sensational track ‘Afterglow’, this home grown talent has crafted releases now considered amongst the best of contemporary dance music. His exhilarating LIVE shows have seen Wilkinson wow festivals from UK to the USA. Plus with the hype for new album ‘Hypnotic’ beginning to swell and a UK Tour selling out weeks in advance (including a sold out show at Camden’s esteemed venue ‘The Roundhouse’), we can’t wait for Wilkinson to kill it at SW4!

DUKE DUMONT

As one of the most exciting and prolific artists of the last decade, British-Born, American based DJ Duke Dumont has been responsible for some of the most popular house tracks in recent times. His energy and unique productions such as ‘I Got You’ and ‘Need You’ have made Duke stand out in a fiercely competitive scene and he continues to deliver year after year. Stand out appearances at the world famous Amnesia in Ibiza and a sell out American tour means this man is one of the most in demand DJs on the planet.

Tastemaker, DJ, broadcaster and producer are amongst the qualities MistaJam is known for. Jam has become THE voice of breaking brand new music and artists in the last decade and things are certainly continuing in that fashion. The London-man has become a household name and has been responsible for pushing all genres of music in this country from grime to house to hip hop via his outstanding BBC Radio 1 show. We cannot wait to welcome the SW4 regular back to the Common so he can do what he does best; rock the crowd!

JAX JONES

Jax Jones’ warp-speed surge to prominence came about in 2014 when he co-wrote and co-produced the multi-platinum award winning worldwide hit titled ’I Got You’ with Duke Dumont. Fast-forward three years and Jax has released his most successful track to date with ‘You Don’t Know Me’, having already sold 1.5 million copies and reaching platinum status in various countries! Easily one of 2017’s most popular artists, he is set to embark on a sold out UK tour including a show at one of the capital’s leading venues, XOYO! We can’t wait for him to make his main stage debut on Bank Holiday Saturday

LOW STEPPA VS SONNY FODERA

Australian Sonny Fodera’s distinguishable groovy house sound makes him stand out from the rest. A stellar year has seen him embark on a thirty-date tour spanning the UK, United States and Australia with the demand for the young producer not letting up.  The same can be said about Low Steppa, the prolific UK producer has gone from strength to strength in the past 18 months with notable performances at the world famous Amnesia and Ministry of Sound. Both of these exciting acts will be making their SW4 debut as they come together for a highly anticipated back-to-back performance!

TOM ZANETTI & KO.KANE

The heat around Tom Zanetti & KO. Kane has been hard to ignore and their special guest appearance at London’s Ministry of Sound in January confirmed the hype. Blessed with undeniable energy and the gift of the gab, this duo has terrorized clubs up and down the U.K in blistering fashion. Recently signing their Sleepin’ is Cheatin’ album to the illustrious Ministry of Sound label, there is only one way for this act, and that is to the top! Don’t miss out their SW4 debut as they get set to put on a show stopping performance!

NAATIONS (LIVE)

Tipped as one of the most exciting live acts to come out of dance music and recently coming off the back of supporting Galantis at Brixton Academy, Naations are starting to turn some heads. With their following ever-growing, we are looking forward to showcasing this exciting new act as they make their debut at South West Four!

Bloodstock confirm GHOST as final headliner for 2017

A Nameless Ghoul informs us “We are absolutely chuffed to finally be playing at the classic BLOODSTOCK.  Over the years we have heard so many great things about it and now, to be able to headline one of the nights, is a great honour and we are very much looking forward to it.  Thank you all and see you there!"

GHOST, who are hot off the back of their Popestar UK tour, channel the early sounds of Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate, as well as elements of prog and late '60s psych rock, so couldn’t be more at home on Catton Park’s hallowed turf.  Papa and the Ghouls current album, ‘Meliora’ spawned the Grammy Award-winning track, ‘Cirice’, the video for which has clocked up almost 16 million views on YouTube – https://youtu.be/-0Ao4t_fe0I.  ‘Meliora’ was followed in September 2016 by their critically lauded ‘Popestar’ EP, featuring the hugely sticky ‘Square Hammer’ – https://youtu.be/VqoyKzgkqR4.   We can’t wait to welcome them to Catton Park in August!

Download Festival announces 20 more bands

Download Festival, the world’s premier rock event has announced another plethora of bands, from legends and new talent alike, including Devin Townsend Project, Suicide Silence, Code Orange and many more. Download Festival takes place on 9 – 11 June 2017 at the spiritual home of rock in Donington Park, Leicestershire.

New to 2017, The Avalanche Stage shines a spotlight on everyone from the biggest global acts, to the latest breaking bands. Headlined by the previously announced Sleeping With Sirens, Simple Plan and The Dillinger Escape Plan, the Avalanche Stage will be hosted by new music champions, Kerrang’s Fresh Blood.

Alex Baker, presenter of Fresh Blood on Kerrang! Radio said: “Right now, there is an undeniable, electric excitement about new music in the air and as soon as we saw the new Avalanche Stage we just had to be involved. It was clear from the get go that one of The Avalanche Stage’s aims was to ensure that there was a dedicated space for these new bands within the festival. Download has always been amazing at supporting new talent and I’ve always admired them for that – so it was a no brainer to get as involved as much as humanely possible!”

Metal behemoth, Devin Townsend Project will be making their welcomed return to Download Festival, featuring living legend and ex Strapping Young Lad frontman, Devin Townsend.

On playing the festival, Devin said: "Download! Amidst a crazy year, we have been invited to play at one of my favourite festivals in the world. The band is rocking better than ever, and we are fired up to have some fun with you guys. We look forward to blowing the roof off the place. See you there!"

The hottest name in hardcore, Code Orange are torchbearers for their genre and will excite festival goers with a crushing set. Twenty years on from the release of ground-breaking album Roots, Max & Iggor Cavalera reunite to perform the seminal record in its entirety to the Download crowd.

Having influenced heavy music with their rapid twin vocal and tech metal, groove masters SikTh will bring the Main Stage mosh pit to life. Deathcore stalwarts Suicide Silence are back with tracks from their eponymous fifth album and are set to deliver an incomparably powerful live set atDonington this summer. Joining them are unmissable supergroup elite, Krokodil who are set to impress with their immensely forceful metal, and UK stoner rock legends, Orange Goblin with their heavy hammer, steel toed riffs and fistfuls of attitude.

Renowned for his wild live shows and fiercely loyal fan base, Ohio rapper Machine Gun Kelly has received waves of critical and commercial success with sophomore album General Admission, which he’ll be bringing in abundance to Download this June. Aussie rock heroes Sick Puppies will serve up their tooth rattling rock and hard hitting hooks that will send the Download crowd wild. Led by the incredible Johnny Hawkins, San Antonio rockers Nothing More have cemented themselves in the top echelons of modern rock and will be bringing their ferocious live performance to Donington.

Having previously supported Iron Maiden, metalcore outfit The Raven Age stride between melody and brute force, and will be returning to Download for another epic performance. They’ll be joined by tour de force of energy, Yonaka, and country rock n’ rollers Blackwater Conspiracy.

The dark and volatile Perturbator completes the trio of Dogtooth Stage headliners alongside the previously announced Exodus and Wednesday 13. Prepare to be lost in his technoir, dark synthwave as he closes the Dogtooth Stage for 2017. Dublin’s grunge pop rockers OTHERKIN will riff their way through infectious songs with a raucous energy, whilst London five piece, Drones will be out to deliver a barrage of hardcore punk for the Download Festival audience.

Having supported the likes of rock legends Black Stone Cherry and Halestorm, The Fallen State will bring soulful vocals and unapologetic rock to Donington. Expect a distinctive mix of pop, punk and new wave from London/LA duo Love Zombies, chaotic and energetic indie punk from Blackwaters, gritty modern blues fuelled rock from Bristol natives Tax The Heat and soulful rock n’ roll from Nashville’s Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown.

Download Festival announce the grand return of WWE NXT Live! for 2017!

Download Festival, the undisputed champion of rock and metal, has today announced the grand return of WWE NXT LIVE! to the hallowed grounds of Donington Park. Music fans will once again be electrified with incredible displays of skill and athleticism, as the hugest names in Sports Entertainment deliver the complete WWE NXT experience alongside the world’s biggest rock stars, on June 9 -11. Alongside headliners System Of A Down, Biffy Clyroand Aerosmith, fans can catch NXT Superstars *Bobby Roode, Aleister Black, Tye Dillinger, Kassius Ohno, Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dain, Nikki Cross and many more as they bring the hard-hitting, innovative and action packed brand of NXT to the purpose built, full scale ring in the main festival arena.

Last year saw NXT make a huge impact with Download fans, delivering a weekend of action to capacity crowds with shocking debuts, high flying manoeuvres and surprising returns from the biggest names in sports entertainment. It also provided one of the most touching moments in Download history when Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative and WWE icon Triple H was awarded the Metal Hammer ‘Spirit Of Lemmy’ award on the main stage, in honour of his relationship with the late legendary Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister and to acknowledge the affinity between the rock and wrestling worlds.

Bestival Announces Second Wave of Acts

Setting the tone in our Year of Colour, we are excited to announce even more amazing artists who will be joining The xx, A Tribe Called Quest, Pet Shop Boys, Jamie T, Kurupt FM, Justice, Dizzee Rascal and many more as we redefine escapism for the festival generation. With a host of live music, super fat sound systems and DJs heading to our brand new site, join us as we increase the peace this 7th – 10th September at the Lulworth Estate, Dorset.

Rob da Bank says: “Bestival’s formula is pretty simple – we like you guys having fun, exploring new ideas and listening to amazing bands and DJs in a massive field or forest or both at the same time whilst dressed as a multi-coloured gherkin. If you like the sound of that you’re on board already, but if you need any more persuasion, we are proud to announce some mega new acts for Besti, repping the best in grime with Wiley, AJ Tracey and 67, through indie and rock with Blossoms and Twin Atlantic, all topped off with some good old fashioned rave with DJs from Heidi to Bjarki, Monki to the Ragga Twins and a massive garage takeover. The Lulworth Estate will be rocking to even more amazing live music from the likes of grime godfather Wiley, indie powerhouse Blossoms, slick rhymer Loyle Carner, UK hip-hop hero Roots Manuva, Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic, folk troubadour Nick Mulvey, grime MC AJ Tracey, legendary hype man Fatman Scoop, Ninja Tune cut n paste maverick Romare and funk machine Sinkane. The Garage Pool Party will be rinsing some classic beats with garage playas Heartless Crew, DJ Luck & MC Neat and Oxide & Neutrino all dropping enough two-step love to keep HMS Bestival rocking. Virgin V Festival 2017 today unveils two incredible line ups on the BBC Radio 1 stage, with some of the hottest dance acts on the planet featuring across both Chelmsford and Staffordshire sites.

With the success of last year’s BBC Radio 1 stage, which opened the music proceedings Friday night, the much-hyped dance music line up is back once again to kick start what’s set to be one of the biggest weekends of the summer.

 

Friday 18th August is a night not to be missed as BBC Radio 1 DJs; Annie Mac, Danny Howard and MistaJam hit the stage. The trio will be joined at Staffordshire, Weston Park by a host of Britain’s biggest and best DJs – Chase and Status (DJ Set), Duke Dumont and Disciples.

 

 

One of the world’s most well-known drum ‘n’ bass duos, Chase and Status will be heading to Virgin V Festival fresh from an action-packed summer touring the globe.

 

Grammy nominated Duke Dumont will also step up to the decks in Staffordshire with his huge chart smashes, ‘Need U (100%)’, ‘I Got U’ and ‘Won’t Look Back’ which will set the pace for the huge evening ahead.

 

Rounding off a jam-packed night of live dance music is South London trio Disciples who soared to the top of the charts in February 2015 with ‘They Don’t Know’. The deep house act followed it up with their Calvin Harris collaboration on ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ and just last month released ‘On My Mind’ which MistaJam featured as his hottest record in the world.

 

In Chelmsford, Annie Mac will be overseeing the night to ensure that everyone is raving in Hylands Park. After electrifying Staffordshire crowds last year on the BBC Radio 1 stage, Wilkinson is back and this time playing to Chelmsford. With some of UK dance music’s most hypnotic tracks under his belt – this is not a set to be missed.

 

Also joining the incredible bill is Bristol based drum ‘n’ bass duo, Icarus. After blasting on to the scene in 2013, the brothers have continued to magnetise crowds with their sleek and unique sound. They’ll be bringing fresh new material, including the recently released ‘King Kong’.

 

Netsky will also be taking to the BBC Radio 1 stage, bringing his stream of dance floor beats to Chelmsford. Riton also stars, known for mixing some of music’s most notorious dance floor fillers from ‘Rinse & Repeat’ to ‘Betta Riddim’.

 

BBC Radio 1 will be live broadcasting the evening from Weston Park, Staffordshire to ensure that no one misses out on this incredible line up of chart topping anthems.

Back in London for the first time in three years, Sunday 27th August will witness the return of Deadmau5to London at SW4. The initial announcement of this industry leader created an unbelievable buzz across London’s dance music community and every day we get closer, the intrigue intensifies. In recent weeks, the Mau5 has revealed blue prints of the massive production that is set to make an appearance on the Common and is widely regarded as one of the most impressive set-ups in electronic music. Are you ready?

Consisted of two members of SW4 Saturday headliners Pendulum, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen have put their touch of genius to their other hugely successful project; Knife Party. Since their inception in 2011, the domineering duo have been a mainstay on the top of huge festival line ups and have sold out the most prestigious venues across the globe, most notably at the 02 Academy Brixton. Their explosive and high-octane sound have made them favourites in all corners of the globe with fans eagerly anticipating the pair’s return wherever they go! We are absolutely thrilled to welcome one of the most influential acts in dance music to Clapham Common, for the 14th installment of South West Four.

He first debuted his critically acclaimed live show a few years ago and it went onto dominate festival stages all across the globe. Bakermat catapulted himself into the dance music five years ago and he hasn’t looked back since. The Dutch native is from a select breed of artists who have come to the forefront of electronic music in recent years who tap into the more melodic side of house music and have discovered huge success doing so! His recent visit to the capital witnessed two huge back-to-back sell out shows at Electric Brixton as he showcased his Circus party to 3500 revelers in south London! Sunday 27th August will see this hot shot land into the common and perform his LIVE show for the first ever time in London! With an ever growing fan base all across the globe, we are tipping this to be one of the performances of the weekend!

JAUZ
When Skrillex officially endorses you, you know you’re doing something right! The past 18 months have been an absolute whirlwind for American producer Jauz who has gone from producing in his bedroom in 2014 to selling out arena tours all across the States. A quick-fire XOYO sell out at the tail end of 2016 demonstrated that the appetite for this whizz kid is clearly rife and his bass-heavy sound has caught the attention of many. Jauz will be making his SW4 debut this summer and with him being tipped for the top, this is an artist you can’t afford to miss!

MARTIN SOLVEIG
Parisian house giant Martin Solveig has become a stable-diet on festival main stages around the world and a go-to artist when it comes to getting the party started. Having honed his innate ability to sense the vibe being emitted from the crowd, Solveig never fails to manipulate the dance floor. With this in mind, it will come as no surprise to hear he’s held a five year residency at Ibiza super club Pacha and featured on the biggest lineups on the earth’s most illustrious stages at the world’s most prestigious festivals like Ultra Miami, Electric Daisy Carnival and Tomorrowland. We can’t wait to welcome Martin this summer for his debut appearance at SW4!

TCHAMI
Paris is known for breeding the most popular and notable artists on the planet and Tchami is one of its finest. Having formed a close relationship with DJ Snake who took the young producer under his wing, his last visit to London saw a frenzy of fans pack out Electric Brixton for an exhilarating show. He made his SW4 debut last year on the main stage and played a stand-out set when the sun was going down. This has been etched in people’s memories and his return to the main stage will be nothing short of magical!
 
REDLIGHT
Lobster Boy records head honcho Redlight has become a firm favourite at SW4 HQ over recent years. He is part of a group of artists who burst onto the scene in rapid fashion around five years ago and he has kept it consistent since then. The Bristol native has become hot property in Europe with his vast knowledge of the genre allowing him to stand a cut above the rest. Redlight will make his debut on the SW4 main stage and add another milestone to his fledging career!

WHAT SO NOT
Australian sensation What So Not is a god amongst men when it comes dance music in the south hemisphere. Worshipped by millions of fans, his soulful and instrumental driven tracks have taken him to the next level. Following in the footsteps of industry leaders such as FLUME, What So Not is in the handful of producers who are on the top of their game. The summer of 2017 will see him make his debut and perform on our huge main stage for the very first time!

Since that jaw-dropping performance, he has been the one of the main talking points within the dance music community with his latest album capturing the imagination of many! Known by many to be an absolute wizard on the decks, DJ Hype is one of the most respected drum and bass DJs to ever step foot on this planet. His all-domineering Playaz label has gone from strength to strength each year with standout and sell-out events across many high-profile clubs. Joining the main man will be his protégé himself, Hazard! In a few short years Hazard has knocked out an abundance of anthems and proven himself as an outstanding producer and ultimate force to be reckoned with. He has recently collected the BEST DJ award at the coveted Drum&BassArena awards, knocking off Andy C off the top!  The pair of them will perform a London festival exclusive set as the both of them come together to destroy the common!

Their latest album has received rave reviews from far and wide and the duo are showing no signs of slowing down. They tore SW4 to pieces last year and are set to do the same in 2017 as they return to the common for some electrifying drum & bass!
 
BBC Radio 1’s Friction’s rise to becoming one of the most-revered Drum and Bass producers and DJs in the world is nothing short of glorious. Being one of the few DJs to use three decks to mash up his mixes immediately set him apart from the rest as he is able to create a highly individual sound and has collaborated with some of the world’s most popular artists. The Brighton man has been a regular at SW4 and bringing him back in this very exclusive way is hugely exciting for us!

So to form an ear splitting ensemble, Goldie is joined by My Nu Leng – current trailblazers in bass music for a B2B of epic proportions! The Bristol based duo may be relative newcomers but are cherished within the scene for production skills second-to-none and an incomparable sound. Earning regular airtime on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, this exposure has led to global recognition in record time.

Dimension is one of the most exciting and brightest talents coming through drum & bass at the moment. His exceptional talents and raw sound caught the eye of giant CHASE & STATUS’ label MTA records with Saul & Will snapping up the young gun instantly. His unique ability to fuse sounds from the spectrum of electronic music has made him stand out from the rest of the others and that’s why we love him so much. His latest banger “UK” has been making waves and dance music stalwart Skrillex producing an epic remix which has made the track go stratospheric. He will be debuting his brand new Audio/Visual show at SW4 and is tipped to be one of the most exciting live set ups around!
 
The godfathers of drum & bass Fabio & Grooverider are arguably the most decorated artists in drum & bass! Beginning their trade over 25 years ago, the duo have pushed the boundaries of the genre and are hugely responsible for where drum & bass is today. The pair’s raw energy and passion for their craft has seen them tour for years and 2017 is no different with a hugely successful 25 years of Fabio & Grooverider event at Electric Brixton which saw fans from all across the city come together to celebrate such a great achievement. Their performance at SW4 will witness them play back-to-back for the first time in their history and it will be with none other than the legendary Marky! The Brazilian wizard is one of the most respected names amongst his peers and his soul & jazz infused approach to drum & bass makes him totally unique compared to any other artist around. An inspired performance at Brixton Academy on NYE reminded people why he is one of the best around. This very exclusive back to back has not been done anywhere else so put your seatbelt on and get ready for the ride!
 
Heartless Crew’s dedication to their music has led them to become a widely loved and respected name across the UK, representing one of the UK’s most dynamic and charismatic street-reared collectives in recent years.  At the peak of the garage unstoppable emergence into the mainstream, Heartless Crew stood alongside the likes of EZ, So Solid Crew, Craig David and Ms. Dynamite to bring the genre to the forefront of British music, selling out venues from London to New York and arenas all across the world.

What do you get when combining six of the slickest MCs and DJs in Drum and Bass? Think a sonic boom of energy and explosion of intense sound, an unrivaled experience that’s not to be missed! The collective consisting of Harry Shotta, Stormin’, Shabba D, Skibadee, Macky Gee and DJ Phantasy (SASASAS) have already performed a host of recent sell out shows and specifically chose SW4 as next on the hit list. An ever-growing fan base and unbelievable buzz meant we had no option but to duly accept!
 
If you’ve been anywhere near a drum & bass dance floor in the past couple of years then you know Taxman’s productions, and you’ll have been throwing your arms up and calling for DJs to reload his tracks on more than one occasion! Now with his own distinctive sound and a string of huge releases including ‘Original Ninja’ and ‘Scan Darker’ under his belt, Taxman is all about facing the future; no doubt his dance floor killing tracks will be taxing your spare income for years to come! With the man making his debut at SW4, we are sure to invite him along for many years to come after this!
 
As much inspired by the sounds of old school jungle and LTJ Bukem, Sub Zero is famous for his signature dance floor smashing style, making music predominantly to be played in clubs. Despite this, experimenting with sound, pushing the boundaries and doing something a bit different has, and always will, be very important to Jake. And, as he climbs higher and higher into the upper echelons of D&B production, we can only expect more great things to come from Sub Zero.
 
One of the brightest stars of the jump up scene, Turno is on a one-way mission to the top! His dynamic-approach to his sets leaves the crowd gasping for air and his uncompromising approach to his productions are not for the faint-hearted. Going back to back with Turno will be young guns Annix who most recently supported giants Noisia at their hugely successful Electric Brixton show last year. Blessed with an ear for great sounds, this pair is destined for great things and we are looking forward to hosting them at SW4 for the very first time!

Bloodstock announce four more for 2017
