We are supporting the music of the Fognini Brothers ever since they put themselves on the map of the international electronic music scene.
Similar as it is the case with us, Mind Against also select their output very carefully and this also reflects in their DJ sets that can be long and challenging at times. Like their sets also their discography speaks for itself; with a variety of originals, remixes and collaborations, that are not bound to one genre, Alex and Freddie already left a mark in the more melodic realm of techno and house and are continuing to do so in full force.
We are happy to have them on board and it is great to see that their interpretation of our ‘Home‘ is so well received.

The saturday will bring artists like Maceo Plex, Guy Gerber, Whomadewho (live), Sébastien Léger, Eli & Fur, Frankey & Sandrino, while the sunday will highlight some Techno madness with Charlotte de Witte, Riche Hawtin, Rebuke, Eli Brown, Stella Bossi… A second secret stage will welcome the best artists from Family Piknik Music own label, local talents, as well as guests like Jeremy Olander, Anii, Stereo Express and Oscarl L, to name a few… Freshly revamped in 2018 with a half-roof, Lunel’s Arenas will be a dream dancefloor for these first events, allowing all-aged party people to enjoy some comfort with a huge chill outdoor terrace and some covered spaces all round the arenas, with the center ground being covered to avoid too much dust with all these dance moves to be expected… From 11am to midnight, these two first events in Lunel will give the perfect tone for this new season!
Next is Family Week-end 02, on 13th and 14th of August. This time, the party will be located on the other side of Montpellier, going west in the direction of the famous city of Sète and its outstanding Etang de Thau. Frontignan will host this second weekend in a green spot, with many trees and natural air. A Kid zone will be built for that weekend and a charming circular arena will welcome the second stage. Once again, connection will be easy with all the big cities, thanks to train station located only 400 meters away : 10 minutes from Montpellier center, 5 minutes from Sète. Ideal to come and enjoy this party weekend safely ! Musically speaking, the saturday will be focus on House music, with a never-seen before transition between the American legend of House Danny Tenaglia, the DJ’s DJ, and the most acclaimed House artist since 4 years, FISHER. Next to them will be Dutch star Oliver Heldens, listed on the Top 100 DJs since 2013, who will perform under his dark techno moniker, HI-LO. The succession of these 3 sets promise to be something! The next day, Sunday 14th of August, will be a wonderful trip for all the fans of Deep and Melodic House & Techno: an exclusive back-to-back between the legendary Dixon and his new favourite Jimi Jules, Afterlife’s wonder. Innellea, All Day I Dream’s tastemaker Öona Dahl, or best friends Joris Voorn & Kölsch concluding this sunday on the main stage. On the other stage, much more intimate, we’ll have a collection of groove masters : Super Flu, Cioz b2b Sam Shure, Kadosh, TERR, NicoMorano, Sascha Braemer, KEENE and some of the artists from our Family Piknik Music own label. This second Weekend in Frontignan will offer a very different experience from the first one taking place in Lunel’s Arenas. Family Piknik’s mastermind, Tom Pooks, is proud of this new partnership with Frontignan city hall: « They immediately have embraced our project. Thanks to them, we’ve managed to create a second Family Piknik weekend in a vegetal, green and tree-lined decor which sticks to our initial concept : family, kids, picnic, under the trees. Cherry on the cake, we have the proximity of the train station, the stunning Etang de Thau and some great beaches all around. All we need to enjoy a mesmerising party weekend.
After these hot summer events, it will be time for a breathtaking Closing event in Béziers Arenas on October 1st ! Last year, Family Piknik‘s final act with Boris Brejcha was such a success we had to renew the experience. And who’s better than Paul Kalkbrenner to headline this 2022 closing event? Berlin’s legendary techno stalwart will entertain more than 8000 party people during 2 hours, along with Italian talents Agents of Time, who have lately been topping the charts with their remix for The Weekend. Simina Grigoriu, Tom Pooks b2b Joy Kitikonti, Pontias & Abstraal will also be some of this last event’s highlights for sure. >> More info for Closing event here: http://www.familypiknikfestival.com/closing2022
