Level Up sees Fergie take a step outside the DJ booth and take inspiration from the dance floor, which he says was his first love. “The Level Up concept came after having played a few festivals and seeing that I was missing some real ‘hands in the air’ party techno.” Level Up is a full-on dance floor rave anthem with many twists and turns. The track builds all the way up through the breakdown with rolling snares, synths and strings.
It’s capped by the timely vocal ‘the future is a metaphor for now’ before transporting you to the next phase where the build comes crashing down and we’re off to the races again. This is Fergie at his best; the fun loving Irish rogue, the one stop party shop.
Stephan Bodzin, DJ Tennis, Mano Le Tough, WhoMadeWho, Francesca Lombardo & more.

Dutch legends Reinier Zonneveld and Theodor Nabuurs, the techno moniker of Mental Theo, went on a Filthy trip together while on Acid. A short summary of their combined efforts: “Trek Drop! Lekker trekken!”
This is Filth on Acid NOW!
Trek Drop is a real rib rattler, with rock-solid kick drums that could move heaven and earth. The rumbling bass adds extra weight and as well as icy hi-hats come turbo-charged acid lines, slapping hits, and plenty of FX to up the drama throughout.
This is another pearler from Reinier Zonneveld and Theodor Nabuurs. Artist: Reinier Zonneveld x Theodor Nabuurs Title: Trek Drop Record Label: Filth On Acid Release Date: 29th October 2021 [Beatport (2 weeks)], 12th November 2021 (all other stores)
Sam Paganini is back with the brand new double album “Light + Shadow” on his own Jam label in October 2021. The fantastic 12 track concept is his fourth full length after 2020’s Reflections and is split into two halves, Light and Shadow, with each showcasing different sides to his sound.
This superb new album comes presented as six daytime orientated tracks, representing Light, and six tracks designed for clubs, which represent Shadow. This innovative format is a way for the artist to dig even deeper and cook up different moods and grooves for different settings. It comes after nearly 25 years of leading the underground scene from the front and headlining every major club and festival in the world from Berghain in Berlin to Output and Cielo in New York and Fabric in London.
In that time, the Italian has also released on influential labels like Drumcode, Plus 8 and Cocoon Recordings and is never far from the top 10 of the Beatport techno charts. As well as club-ready EPs, he has always showcased his fine studio craft on immersive full-lengths like 2014’s Satellite, 2017’s Zenith and 2020’s Reflections.
Those albums evolved his famously percussive and harmonic sounds and explored downtempo and breakbeat as well as techno. ‘Rave’ from the Satellite album became an instant classic that has been viewed more than 43 million times on YouTube and stayed for more than 18 months in the overall Beatport Chart after being number 1 for over two months. Next to making techno, he has toured Italy as a drummer with a rock band and had a UK Club Chart #1 ‘Zoe’ under his Paganini Traxx alias in 1996.
This new album opens with ‘Bianca’, which is dedicated to Sam’s daughter, who was a newborn at the time it was written and is now seven months old, so the track is filled with emotion. It is gorgeously uplifting with airy pads and heavenly chords as well as an aching vocal that hangs above the silky breakbeats. ‘Overdrive’ then traps you in heavenly melodic loops that lift your spirits ever higher, ‘The Church’ is a thoughtful downbeat track with lush ambient pads and ‘Revelation’ is a harmonic soundscape with a percolating rhythm and rich chords filled with hope. ‘Breeze’ then explores a world of tropical cosmic ambiance, with serene pads and leggy drums, glowing keys and a futuristic feel before ‘Nocturama’ is another exquisite exploration of a cosmic jungle in the sky with new age keys, whimsical melodic leads and bustling broken beats.
The second half, Shadow, takes you straight to the club with deep techno rollers like ‘Starlight,’ raved up cuts like ‘One’ with its fizzing bass and cantering drums and ‘Flash’ feat Zøe, which is a pounding but warm techno track with percolating synth lines. ‘Mutron’ is percussive and twisted, ‘Galaxy’ gets you in a trance with its neon synth leads and unrelenting kick drum pressure and ‘Heaven’ closes out with the darkest mood of all, complete with bubbling acid and tripped out keys way up top.
This is a comprehensive artistic statement from one of techno’s finest.

After 2021’s most successful event to date and in celebration of Halloween, BLOODSTOCK is excited to announce a swath of bands for 2022’s Catton Park heavy metal party, including their final main stage headliner!
The mighty BEHEMOTH will bring their spectacular production to close out the Ronnie James Dio main stage on Friday. Nergal tells us, “BLOODSTOCK has a very special place in BEHEMOTH’s heart. They are one of the first major European metal festivals who took risks to position BEHEMOTH as a festival headliner; a game changer for us in the UK! I can’t wait to get back onto the legendary grounds of Catton Park and raise some monumental hell with our legions! Until August!” The Polish heretics spent lockdown writing new music and putting on the best livestream we’ve ever seen, so we’re excited to see what they have in store for us next summer. In the meantime, remind yourself of their incredible production with this live clip of ‘Evoe’, taken from their ‘In Absentia Dei’ stream, which sees a live release on 17th December via Nuclear Blast.
Las Vegas ‘death western’ crew, SPIRITWORLDearn a Saturday main stage slot in a UK festival exclusive! The band drop their debut ‘Pagan Rhythms’ album via Century Media on 5th November and we urge you to check it out! Get a taste of their ‘death western’ sound and aesthetic via the awesome video for ‘The Bringer Of Light’, taken from that debut.
We also welcome Sweden’s black metal kings, DARK FUNERAL to Sunday’s main stage in yet another UK festival exclusive. It’s been five long years since their last album, but the icons recently confirmed they have finished recording their latest, seventh opus with producer Daniel Bergstrand, with a prospective release date of March 2022. While we wait, check out a video from their archives, 1996’s ‘The Secrets Of The Black Arts’.
Moving over to the Sophie Lancaster stage, Austrian diabolics, BELPHEGOR grab a slot on the bill. With a new album arriving in 2022, we can look forward to seeing some new tracks live. Frontman Helmuth comments, “Hail! We are proud to announce that BELPHEGOR was again invited to the ingenious BLOODSTOCK Open Air in Derbyshire, England in August 2022 and we will shred the Sophie Lancaster stage. Be prepared!” In the meantime, watch their devilish video for 2017’s ‘Baphomet’. Grabbing a Sophie stage spot on Friday are British metal squad, HEART OF A COWARD. The band are working hard on album #5, so we hope to see new music in ‘22, but in the interim, why not pick yourself up a bargain in their 50% off sale on selected merchandise over on their official website.
Swelling Saturday’s Sophie roster are Celtic folk punks, FEROCIOUS DOG, currently half-way through an extensive UK headline tour to promote their latest record ‘The Hope’, released just 2 weeks ago. The six-piece shared an emotional official video for the title track on World Mental Health Day, made in collaboration with NHS advisors. Also added to the Sophie stage on Saturday are Harrogate’s BLOOD YOUTH, who released their acclaimed third album at the start of October, titled ‘Visions Of Another Hell’. Watch the video for latest single ‘Colony3’ and read a recent Kerrang! interview with them here to learn a bit more.
In addition, joining Saturday’s Sophie line-up are much lauded Hull crew, BLACK TONGUE bringing their fresh take on down tempo deathcore & doom. The group just wrapped up their first UK headline tour in 2 years and are now prepping to perform at Cvltfest in November before heading out on the road with Decapitated in 2022 for the latter’s 25th anniversary – not a bad warm-up for BLOODSTOCK! Last but not least, up-and-coming British noiseniks, HERIOT land a slot on Sunday’s Sophie stage. With US magazine Revolver recently declaring them “one of the most promising young bands in modern metalcore”, check out what the fuss is about when they support Svalbard across the UK in November and listen to their recent cover of the Machine Head classic, ‘Ten Ton Hammer’.

Do Not Sit has never been about one sound, and as we always look to discover the bright stars of the future, we never forget the heroes of the past. We are thrilled to welcome to the label one of those heroes and a very dear friend, Gavin Hardkiss.
Gavin was one of the bedrocks of the original San Francisco scene, and he was one of the main forces who helped shape the community. Hardkiss is an American dance music legend who has pioneered the scene since the 90s. He has played across the world, recorded numerous albums and singles as Hawke and with Hardkiss. We have so much respect for what him and the family of Hardkiss Brothers did to shine light on the West Coast sound around the world.
“Perc Groove EP” is a collection of three original tracks from Gavin, each filled with his decade’s long palate of sound and rhythm. From the title track’s deep, underground warehouse vibes, to “Debonnaire”, the familiar cosmic breaks he championed for generations, and the modern, organic and emotional composition of “Budboi”.
We are honored to have Gavin officially join the Do Not Sit Family, even though we always considered him a part already.
