Matador is one of techno’s most prolific and assured artists, producing everything from stripped back minimal to powerful main room sounds. For this one he works with Italian outfit Meduza, who have been behind some of the biggest house records and most sultry tunes of the last few years such as their global hit “Piece of Your Heart”, and have signed to Defected, Anjunadeep and Virgin amongst others across the spectrum of dance music. The last piece of the puzzle for this one is Artche from Newcastle in the UK. His music brings real freshness to house and techno thanks to his own dark vocal style and has come on labels like Pryda Presents and Bedrock amongst others. Now, all three of these artists impress once more.
Just A Feeling is an emotive and deep techno cut with standout synth craft. The mid-tempo drums are heavy and set a moody late night vibe as sweeping synths reach up to the stars and a whispered vocal brings epic emotion. This tune will make a spine-tingling impact on all who hear it. An instrumental and acapella are also included, but the original with the vocal is sure to become anthemic.

Henri Bergmann’s trajectory in 2022 has been nothing short of stratospheric; whether remixing for, or by, Echonomist, Mia Mendi, Johnathan Kaspar, Dee Montero and Murat Uncuoglu (to name but a few); collaborating with Biesmans or touring the globe, she’s swiftly moved to the apex of dance music’s creative illuminati.
Now she delivers her first mixed compilation for Renaissance, a clubbing bastion who are synonymous with the format. “It’s a pleasure and honour to take on this mix for Renaissance,” she says, “They know a thing or two about what makes a comp’ work in this style and genre so the pressure was on to deliver. The mix is an eloquent snapshot of recent favourites, current and future bombs and, of course, a few of my own productions for good measure!”
True to her word, Henri kicks the mix off with her gorgeous rework of Dee Montero’s ‘Solena’ and then proceeds to swiftly shift through the gears over the course of the next hour. Along the way she features Adriatique, Denis Horvat, WhoMadeWho, Toto Chiavetta, Final Request and more; even her very latest single, the Tale Of Us championed ‘Simulacrum’ is woven into the deft soundscape. “It’s always a challenge and self-debate over what, and what not to include, but overall, I had real fun putting it together. I hope people enjoy it,” she happily concludes.

Landing a slot on Friday’s Ronnie James Dio main stage are Bay Area thrash icons SACRED REICH. Having dropped ‘Awakening’ in 2019, their first studio album in 23 years, they’ve wasted no time since 2021 hitting the road (most recently with Sepultura). Check out the rifftastic video for the album’s title track here.BLOODSTOCK also welcomes HEAVEN SHALL BURN, in their first ever UK festival appearance! The well respected German metalheads are warming up for BLOODSTOCK touring with Trivium in early 2023. Watch the video for ‘Übermacht’ to get in the mood, from their album ‘Of Truth And Sacrifice.’ Also bagging a Friday main stage slot are electro nu-core squad, SEETHING AKIRA, whose new album ‘Nozuki’ just landed. Saturday’s main stage sees NOLA swamp kings CROWBAR join the fray. Having released their latest album, ‘Zero And Below’ earlier this year to much acclaim, expect to hear brand new tracks like ‘Bleeding From Every Hole’ alongside their classic riffs. Also snagging a Saturday slot are hotly tipped London metal trio,URNE. Snapped up by Candlelight Records, wrap your ears around their killer track ‘Desolate Heart’ if you’re not yet familiar with them. You’re welcome.
Sunday on the RJD main stage sees the return of ALL HAIL THE YETI, after having to cancel their 2022 appearance due to unforeseen circumstances. The SoCal sludgemeisters released their latest collection, ‘Within The Hollow Earth’ last November, featuring the fan favourite, ‘Headless Valley’. Also grabbing a Sunday main stage slot are rising metal squad DEAD LABEL, who are fast becoming festival favourites. Check out their video for ‘R.E.D’ to see them rocking those crowds! Lastly on Sunday, we welcome UUHAI, all the way to Catton Park’s main stage from Mongolia! Watch their cinematic video for ‘Uuhai’ here.
There’s plenty of action over at the Sophie Lancaster stage too. Friday welcomes heavy Swedes BROTHERS OF METAL. Perhaps they’ll treat us all to a live rendition of ‘Yggdrasil’, from their ‘Prophecy of Ragnarok’ album? They’re also recording a new album right now! Gore grind merchants GUTALAX jet in from the Czech Republic to liven up your Saturday and the video for their track ‘Shitbusters’ is sure to put a smile on your face. Not slacking off as the weekend draws to a close, Sunday adds supergroup COBRA THE IMPALER. Not one to miss, see what they’re all about via the absorbing video for ‘Mountains’, from their ‘Colossal Gods’ album and then go listen to the rest of it! Joining them on Sunday are North Yorkshire’s INVISIONS, bringing a welcome dose of melodic metalcore/post-hardcore, potentially including the track ‘Annihilist’ from their album ‘Deadlock’, out now.

The much anticipated Epic Pool Party series in the heart of Miami’s South Beach today completes its line-up with three more unmissable parties. Do Not Sleep is the world renowned house party that has once again shaken up Ibiza this summer with wild hedonistic parties at Amnesia and Cova Santa. It rolls into town with its all new type of energy on Thursday, December 01 with tech house titan Andrea Oliva joined by Drumcode’s big room techno talent Ida Engberg, and more across the underground spectrum from Yulia Niko, Freak the Disco and Ky William & a special guest DJ TBA.
Friday, December 2nd then sees one of the global house scene’s most influential contemporary DJs and producers arrive: Sonny Fodera has put out countless chart topping hits, from vocal anthems to deep rollers, always with his stylish signature grooves. Also playing this one will be Biscits and more to be announced.
Then, on Saturday, December 3rd local legend Oscar G is bringing his Made in Miami party. It’s a much loved event with a sultry soundtrack, tribal percussion and plenty of spiritual synths and vocals. As well as the main man himself, the hugely influential producer, songwriter, DJ and remixer Jellybean Benitez lines up with Cocodrills, Lazaro Casanova and Jesse Perez completing the line-up.
These final three events come on top of cult house brand Desert Hearts with host Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs and Porky on Wednesday, November 30th, and an already much talked about back to back between two legends when Sasha and Danny Tenaglia face off on Sunday, December 4th with new addition and American underground mainstay DJ Three also bringing his eclectic mix of house, acid and techno.
