We are music fans first and foremost and we run 2000trees to share our love of great music with like-minded festival-goers, so we cannot wait to see what will be a very special year for 2000trees.”

In less than one month Jake Bugg will kick off another phenomenal summer of live gigs under the stars at the Rocks Hotels. The countdown is on, the poolside stage is in place and the best bill in the Balearics is complete. Bonifide festival favourites Biffy Clyro, Beady Eye, The Courteeners, AlunaGeorge and Professor Green will play headline shows and Rocks will also welcome a living legend to the White Isle when Chic featuring Nile Rodgers bring disco fever to Ibiza.
As well as huge festival headliners, global selling artists and music icons, Rocks proudly presents a platform for the best breaking talent. Findlay, Amplify Dot, London Grammar and Temples join previously announced supports Palma Violets, The Other Tribe, Jagwar Ma and Redlight to showcase the best in new music.
This year, Ibiza Rocks will celebrate it’s eighth birthday whilst Mallorca Rocks turns three and what better band to bring in for the best parties in the Balearics than Beady Eye, with Liam Gallagher – icon to the Rocks generation – swaggering centre stage and debuting tracks from their hugely anticipated second album BE. Part of the Rocks family and master of new music Zane Lowe will also play, with support coming from Temples to complete a stellar birthday bill.
It’s a Rocks debut for Beady Eye but festival giants Biffy Clyro are responsible for some standout Rocks shows, having played the opening party in 2010 and headlining the 6th birthday party in 2011. The boys and are back, bigger than ever, to rock Mallorca and Ibiza to their core once more in July.
Back by popular demand is fans favourite Professor Green who will also return with new material for massive shows in both resorts in July and is clearly happy about it, saying, “Very, very excited to be back at Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks, can't wait to perform some of the new album! Let's f@ckin' 'ave it!”
In August, it’s a Rocks debut for AlunaGeorge who have exploded onto the scene and featured on one of the biggest tracks of the year ‘White Noise’ with Disclosure. Nominated for the BRITs Critics Choice Award and BBC’s Sound of 2013 and with debut album ‘Body Music’ out in July, this will be one seriously hot summer set.
September will see a music legend at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel as Chic feat. Nile Rodgers perform huge hit after hit, live under the stars. From Madness, to The Specials to New Order, every year Rocks books a band that have shaped the music scene and influenced generations after them. Nile Rodgers is one of the most influential producers of all time, forming CHIC in the 70’s with tracks such as ‘Le Freak,’ ‘I Want Your Love,’ ‘Everybody Dance’ and ‘Good Times’ propelling disco back in the day and still dance classics now. From CHIC’s own hits to Rodgers producing massive tracks like ‘We Are Family’ and ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’ for Sister Sledge, ‘Upside Down’ and ‘I'm Coming Out’ for Diana Ross, producing David Bowie's biggest selling album ‘Let's Dance’ and Madonna's blockbuster album ‘Like a Virgin’ – Nile Rodgers is ‘The Hitmaker’. Add to that working with Jeff Beck, The Thompson Twins, Duran Duran, Mick Jagger, and most recently Daft Punk, giving them their biggest hit to date with No.1 single ‘Get Lucky’ – the soundtrack of the summer. The Ibiza Rocks crowd will certainly get lucky in September as a true dance music pioneer takes centre stage.
Whilst Foals head up the Ibiza Rocks Closing Party, it’s Manchester lads The Courteeners that will take to the stage for this coveted Closing Party slot at Mallorca Rocks Hotel in September (17/09).
Shane Murray, Promoter said: “We’re incredibly proud of this year's line up, the mix feels just right. I don't think you will see Biffy Clyro or Foals doing anything as intimate as our Rocks shows this year. Bringing two genuine music icons in Liam Gallagher with Beady Eye and Nile Rodgers with Chic to perform will be big highlights. Liam is an icon of the Rocks generation and Nile has inspired and influenced music beyond recognition – especially in Ibiza. At the same time brilliant new talent like Jake Bugg and AlunaGeorge are coming through as headliners. It’s an exciting time. We’re in for another brilliant summer in the Balearics”

For the 3rd year in a row, Teenage Cancer Trust is to benefit from being BLOODSTOCK charity partner this year. Fundraising initiatives at last year’s event raised a whopping £4,775 for the TCT. Money was raised via the guest list scheme (where guests & media are asked for a £10 charity donation in return for their weekend wristband), raffles and a t-shirt amnesty, and this year the aim is to smash the £5,000 target. This year, the popular t-shirt amnesty returns to the TCT stand in the arena, with old rock & metal tee’s available in exchange for a donation, while festival goers are encouraged to bring along and donate old shirts they no longer want. There will also be tickets available to a TCT raffle over the weekend, with an exclusive prize for one lucky winner – more details will be announced soon. Jen Walker, Music Co-ordinator for Teenage Cancer Trust said: “We had a brilliant time at Bloodstock last year, and appreciate all the support from both those behind the scenes at the festival and all of those who popped by the stall and supported us! Roll on August – and LAMB OF GOD!”
In other BOA news, BLOODSTOCK and their beer-friendly buddies at HOBGOBLIN have also created a special limited edition t-shirt which you can get for a bargain £14.99 at the Hobgoblin e-store; http://www.wychwood.co.uk/shop/products/view/97/limited-edition-bloodstock-t-shirt/. The special design was created by festival founder and renowned fantasy artist, Paul Raymond Gregory, who has designed and painted numerous classic album covers for rock giants such as Dio, Saxon, Molly Hatchet and Uriah Heep. If there are any left come August, you’ll be able to pick ‘em up at the festival too. Look out for the BLOODSTOCK-branded bottles of Hobgoblin beer in your local stores too. There are 2.5 million of them out there!
While Friday day tickets for the award-winning Hampshire event are still available via www.blissfields.co.uk, Saturday day tickets and all weekend festival tickets are now sold out.
Founders Paul and Mel Bliss have said, “we are so excited to be selling out so far in advance of the festival this year, and for the first time at our new home on Vicarage Farm, bringing back such sweet memories of the much smaller festivals we ran on our own farm which used to sell out like this. The Blissfields family may have grown but it still feels just like that – our festival family getting back together in a field again!
To have sold out this year with the difficult economic climate makes us even more elated and gives us real faith in the future and the amazing team that have put the event together with us, and for festivals in general. There’ve been so many wonderful festivals cancel over the past few years, some big and some small – even we had to cancel in 2008 – making it especially humbling to be back with our biggest capacity, strongest line-up and in a position where we can now put on the most exciting show we ever have done.”
Under the banner ‘The Director’s Cut’, the award-winning Hampshire festival will be celebrating all things film in its 13th year, from the early talkies to VIP Hollywood parties. Expect a weekend full of red carpets, interactive games, popcorn-throwing dance-offs, film screenings, the best soundtracks, visual treats, hidden treasures and all the usual fun that Blissfields has become synonymous with… topped by an incredible music bill.
Bastille’s Dan Smith has said, "we're massively excited about our first ever headline slot at a festival. Particularly because we love Blissfields so much, and because they've been so supportive to us over the last couple of years”.
Mystery Jets added, "It's been a long time Blissfields and we've missed you. The last time involved some happy mis-adventures, not forgetting of course the incredible show of warmth from the Bliss kids as we played our songs. Sunshine, cider, music and many other things are gonna mix together to make this a real blast and we're very much looking forward to joining you all on that. Thank you for having us, L O V E."
Elsewhere on the festival program, this year sees the launch of the Blissfields Independent Film Festival inviting new film-makers to showcase their shorts before a panel of expert judges, and the Blissfields Beer Festival in association with Hobgoblin, offering pairing on some wonderful local ales.
There’s also a highly acclaimed children’s and family area, an arts and crafts village, secret parties, art sculptures and installations, an acoustic café, and so much more on offer within the tree-lined site of the intimate, friendly Blissfields Festival.

The Human League, Summer Camp, The Struts and The Electric Swing Circus are the latest acts to join the line-up for this year’s Bingley Music Live.
They will appear at Myrtle Park between August 30th-September 1st alongside Primal Scream, The Cribs, The Wonder Stuff, The Fratellis, Lucy Spraggan, Charlie Brown, The Lake Poets, The Temperance Movement, Loveable Rogues, Natasha Haws, Rose and the Howling North, andHoly Moly and the Crackers. With such an eclectic mix of artists already confirmed, this year’s festival once again offers something for everyone AND all at the purse-pleasing price of £45 (+ booking fee) for a three day ticket.
We’re thrilled to welcome synthpop royalty The Human League to Bingley Music Live. With an exceptional back catalogue that spans nine studio albums, four EPs, thirty singles and several compilations, they remain as credible and relevant as they were in 1981, when landmark album Dare was released. A shining light on the electronicNew Wave scene, the group has not only achieved huge commercial success but also been responsible for influencing everyone from Madonna, Lady Gaga, Little Boots through to the acclaimed dubstep act Darkstar. Sing your heart out to Don’t You Want Me, Love Action, Fascination, The Lebanon, Human and Tell Me When… the list of hits just goes on and on!
Bringing their beautiful bubble-gum kitsch to this year’s festival is the aptly named boy-girl duo Summer Camp. Their lo-fi, nostalgia-driven, electro grooves cherry-pick samples and cultural references from the 60s – 80s and crafts them into gloriously upbeat, sing-along tunes with an underlying darker narrative. Released in 2011, their debut album Welcome to Condale received many positive reviews with NME awarding it 8/10 and claiming ‘they're back to (re)make hand-holdy couple-pop their own.’
If you’re looking for a healthy dose of rock and roll in both style and substance come and see The Struts. The four-piece from Derby will parade their vintage-clad swagger on stage with a collection of self-penned songs and an ingenious array of covers. Expect the unexpected! The band make pop-belters such as Cheryl Cole’s Under The Sun truly their own. Sensational live; the lead singer, Luke’s vocal talent is quite unique… so check them out this summer.
Another up and coming band appearing at Bingley Music Live is The Electric Swing Circus. With their debut album scheduled for release later this year, the 6 piece band from Birmingham have been stunning audiences with their unique blend of cool 20's swing, stomping electro beats and soaring harmonies. Fusing everything from breakbeat and house to jungle and dubstep in a dazzling live show these guys are definitely one to watch.
Big Heart, Big Sounds
