Charlotte de Witte takes charge of her KNTXT label’s 15th release with the new Universal Consciousness EP. It comes after Amazingblaze – Venture EP and features four more powerful and psychedelic techno cuts.
A day before release on Wednesday 27th of April at 19:00 CEST and in collaboration with Beatport, Charlotte heads up ’New Form’ V: Universal Consciousness stream. It was recorded in the empty Flanders Expo venue with the epic production that was set up for the hugely successful event on 16th April.

Charlotte is fresh off the back of her biggest ever KNTXT party in mid April. It took place in her hometown of Ghent and saw her play a historic 10 hour set to a vast crowd of people who were taken on a real sonic journey. Also in April, Charlotte returned to London’s iconic Printworks for the first time in five years, this time with her KNTXT concept and once again raised the roof. While staying busy on the road, she continues to curate the Apple Music x KNTXT page while cooking up ever fresh sounds in the studio. This latest EP is another subtle evolution in her signature style.

Says Charlotte of the EP, “following up on my latest Asura EP in September, I decided to delve a bit deeper in the world of psychedelia. All the tracks of the EP are psy inspired, some more than others. I’ve been playing these tracks for a while now in the clubs. It’s been a real
pleasure to see the crowd’s reaction and see the amount of track ID requests online. This one is from me to you, I hope you enjoy my Universal Consciousness EP!”

Opener ‘Satori’ is dark and heavy. The chunky, raw drums hit hard and flat, as the squelchy acid synths pan about the mix. An enchanting middle eastern vocal wail brings an extra trance-inducing element that is sure to lock in the hearts and minds of the crowd.

The super ‘Kali’ is a slick and high speed piece that shows the love relation between psy trance and techno. The video game style synths peel off the groove next to alien sound effects, and the subtly evolving acid line burrows deep into your brain.

Then comes the dynamic, bouncy and acid laced-title cut ‘Universal Consciousness’. It’s a fulsome tune with rubbery kicks and visceral 303 loops that will melt the mind, as dancers fall under its hypnotic and tripped out spell.

Last of all is ‘Ahimsa’ with its bright, lashing acid synths and hammering kick drums. It’s the perfect mix of physical groove and psyched-out synth work, and is perfect for both sweaty basements and vast main rooms alike. When the mystical flutes come in, it takes things to another level entirely.

This is another all consuming EP of innovative techno from Charlotte de Witte.

Between The Bridges established itself as one of London’s premier outdoor drinking areas and all encompassing entertainment hubs in 2021. This year it returns from this Friday April 29th with a varied lineup of live entertainment, sensational street food, craft beer and cocktails, and much, much more. There is also a mouthwatering array of food offerings available from renowned vendors including Born & Raised, BBQ Dept, Cheeky Burger, The Duck Shed, Feed The Village, La Cocinita, Naked Bowls and Oshpaz. This means you can treat yourself to anything from 48-hour proved sourdough pizza paired with London-cured charcuterie to Latin American-themed hot dogs, gluten and dairy-free Buddha Bowls, slow roast pulled duck served three ways, lamb inspired by traditional Uzbek recipes and plenty more worldly culinary delights besides.

Release Ibiza Announce Huge Day Time Opening Party at Es Paradis

From its home at London’s Studio 338, Release has quickly become one of the UK’s most fresh and forward-thinking parties. They have hosted a number of sold out events including a huge New Year’s Eve celebration and now the party rolls into the White Isle. The home for it is the newly refurbished and already legendary Es Paradis. As one of the oldest club’s on the White Isle it has a stripped back feel, a music centric party vibe and punchy sound systems as well as retractable roof for unique open air dancing experiences.

After four long years away from the island, Sankeys is finally making a long overdue return to Ibiza for four very special parties at Es Paradis as part of the much hyped Release season this Summer.

Every first Friday of the month from June until September, the globally renowned underground kings will team up with Studio 338’s flagship party to bring cutting edge techno talent to Ibiza´s most beautiful and iconic club.

Sankeys Ibiza parties are famous for being the most naughty and hedonistic of them all. They never fail to bring a seriously music-first and underground-only vibe with the best house and tech DJs from the very cutting edge. Echoes from Agartha is a five-day odyssey to the Cradle of Civilization in Cappadocia in the heart of Anatolia, Turkey. Adventures in this most breathtaking and historic landscape run from June 29th until July 3rd and offer the best music, history, Turkish cuisine, horseback riding, hot air balloon rides, ceramics making, cave exploration and so much more for artists, dreamers and travel lovers who cherish unforgettable cultural experiences. The Cappadocia region was formed 60 million years ago by the erosion of soft layers of lava and ash from Mount Erciyes (Argaeus), composed with wind and rain over millions of years. Epic geographical events created its unique nature and history: it is a Unesco World Heritage site like no other with tufa hills, deep ravines, fairy chimneys, rock-hewn churches, underground cities, and hot air balloons dotting the sky in the early morning hours.

Christians, Persians, Romans, Arabs, Byzantines, Seljuks, Ottomans, and now Turks have all lived in the region throughout its rich history as an important junction of the Silk Road trading route, and its many stories are carved into Cappadocia’s surreal landscape. It makes for the most beautiful location possible and will have your every sense tingling from the moment you arrive.

The full Agartha Experience is unlike any other you will have ever known with daily excursions, historical and cultural tours, Turkish rug and ceramic making, ATV tours, horseback riding, Sufi teachings in an ancient monastery, an underground city visit and extras such as a dinner party, afterparty in a hot air balloon or standard hot air balloon ride. Accomodation packages include access to the festival as well as stays at Utopia Cave Hotel, Dere Suites, Anka Cave Suites, Hanedan, Cappadocia Suites, Argos in Cappadocia and Goreme Kaya Hotel.

The festival boasts three different venues – The Zion on Thursday which is inspired by the Matrix and located in a narrow canyon with tall rock formations that hug the dance floor, creating a cave-like illusion. On Saturday, it’s to The Valley of Monasteries, a valley surrounded by ancient monasteries and fairy chimneys dating back to the 4th century. The closing ritual and the grand finale will also be held on this ancient playground. The Yunak Evleri is a Friday rooftop venue only accessible to people with an Agartha Experience Pass. It will be a sunset gathering on top of the oldest cave hotel in the region.

Playing the locations is a world class mix of house and techno DJs including All Day I Dream man Lee Burridge, the melodic techno masters Mind Against, cult Detroit DJ Seth Troxler, the emotive sounds of WhoMadeWho, progressive stars Chaim b2b Jenial, plus Tarsol, Elif, Majnoon and many more.

Echoes from Agartha is a dream project that comes from Gate Experience, a company founded by two siblings. Turkey-born, US-based Yalim Acar is Co-Founder and Events Coordinator and his brother Yaaz Acar is the LA-based Creative Director who is a cinema and television graduate who brings his unique vision to the festival.

2022 will definitely be a new start for Family Piknik and it will begin on Sunday 31st July in the new avant-garde and unique decor of Lunel Arena, located only 20 minutes away from Grammont’s open park previously used as the festival’s playground. Central place in the city, close to the train station, Lunel’s Arena will start to dance with Family Piknik through a very attractive Opening event highlighting some of the best Deep-Progressive artists.

From 11am to midnight, colourful deco, human performances and pink flamingos will flag the mixes from Colyn and Denis Horvat, the Afterlife new champions, among the most creative artists of their generation, will deliver an exclusive and tremendous back-to-back next to the living legends of the Pro- gressive House scene, Hernan Cattaneo b2b Nick Warren. For three hours, for the first time in France, these two pioneers will share their exquisite musicality with us before giving way to the exquisite Nora en Pure, one of the most popular Deep-Progressive artists, monthly listened by almost 3 million per- sons each month. Very rare in France, she will be for sure one of the major attractions for this Opening event. The Family Piknik Music crew will also be highly involved around its sure players Tom Pooks, Joy Kitikonti and Pontias, with a particularly strong South American accent to be heard on that day. Both Unorthodox and Mandidextrous recognise the impact queer communities had when rave culture was founded in the 80s and how the scene of today has deviated form its roots, resulting in an environment unsuitable for the community, one that is often deemed ‘unsafe’ and suffers from ‘toxic masculinity’.

“Music is for everyone to enjoy, whatever the genre, without the fear of confrontation or judgment” says Nathan X, drag queen Drum and Bass DJ and founder of Unorthodox.

This will be Unorthodox’ biggest show to date. Since their inception in 2019, they have made waves in the industry, with recognition from major key players such as UKF, Mixmag, Hospital Records and are headed for a summer packed full of festival takeovers and their own stage at Tomorrowland, Belgium. IMANU, bi-sexual DJ from the Netherlands, will headline the Village Underground date; the legendary John B joins the bill as well as award winning Scottish DJ, Mrs Magoo. Chickaboo, the first ever woman to MC over Drum and Bass, hosts the show alongside Plymouth’s Maddy V and electrifying drag MC, Bennitrate. Other Unorthodox residents join the line up, acting as glue to pull this ground-breaking, queer-focused, diverse line up together. On top of this immense line up, the full family of Unorthodox queens and performers will bring the show to life alongside an immersive production experience.
