Widely regarded as one of the UK’s most important and influential clubs, Motion is a famously multi-dimensional club space. It offers everything from raw and intimate rave spaces to vast main rooms that turn into intense party cauldrons. The club has always been broad in its offering: as well as showcasing the most influential artists from around the globe, there has always been a real focus on giving the stage over to red hot and rising local promoters, production teams and artistic talents.

A diverse and safe dance floor has also always been a priority for Motion, so new measures have been put in place in response to recent reports of increased spiking incidents across the UK. Some of these include offering lids on drinks, increased security presence and non-uniformed operatives patrolling the club to ensure customer safety.

This monumental new season kicks off on January 21st with Possession x Boiler Room headlined by Hadone, then 22nd with The Blast, then Motion x Dad Bod Boogie brings Dan Shake, Ewan McVicar, Elkka [live] and Charlie Boon on Saturday 29th.

February 4th sees the return of house heroes Solardo and friends. Following this on February 5th is the one and only Floating Points who is joined by Pearson Sound and Helena Star amongst others. On the 11th there will be a gigantic hard house celebration with genre kingpins Goodgreef and names like Aly & Fila, Will Atkinson, Lange, Menno De Jong and more. Drumcode boss Adam Beyer headlines another techno special on Saturday 19th February, with more to come. A big Glitterbox party will also be announced for February 25th.

In March, Skream & Lala play from open to close, Camelphat headline a special Day & Night party and Motion Presents LSDXOXO with forward thinking sounds from Aurora Halal.

This is a mouthwatering first wave of names that once agains confirms Motion leads the UK’s underground electronic scene from the front.

Ukrainian duo ARTBAT have linked with dance legend Pete Tong for what is set to be one of the pair’s biggest ever tunes: a forward-thinking new take on the Balearic dance classic ‘Age of Love’ on Ministry of Sound. The stylish new single is out digitally on January 7th and on vinyl on February 4th 2022.

This latest new ARTBAT track comes just a week after the award-winning pair sold out their much talked about UPPERGROUND label on New Year’s Eve in Tulum with next level visuals making it an unforgettable night. More than 6000 people came together to dance to a majestic set that took in ARTBAT classics old and new. The high spec production added an extra sensory element, with vast LED screens showing abstract imagery and ARTBAT in space suits, pixel-thin lasers beaming into the crowd, and iconic Mexican palm trees towering next to the main stage. It was a perfect way to see out the old and bring in the new with ARTBAT doing what they do best.

This hypnotic new track is a perfect follow up to that party. It is designed for huge dance floors and is a driving, melodic yet deep affair that will sound perfect in the world’s best superclubs. The remix pairs big synths and elements of stylish trance and potent techno to make a big emotional impact, as is the ARTBAT way.

With this new collaborative single, ARTBAT start 2022 in the same superb fashion with which they ended their successful 2021.

Noisily returns in 2022 – John Digweed, Eats Everything, Ben Coda & OC & Verde headline

Noisily returns after two years away from the woods like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the wind of its loyal family driving it forward into a new era. A festival reborn, taking great care to honour its past whilst looking firmly toward a bright and bold future from 7th – 10th July 2022. Joining them for the big return will be a mouthwatering line up that covers a wide range of sound featuring the likes of Eats Everything, a Noisily debut for John Digweed, plus more from Frida Darko, Carbon, OC & Verde, Luis M, Life, Pauli Pocket, Audley, Atlantik, Audio Anonymous, Beth Lydis vs Andreas Henneberg, Ben Coda, Henri Bergmann, Ipcress, James Monro, Lampe, Quivver, Tony Casanova and more.

Noisily endeavour to stand on the edge of knowledge, creating an environment that inspires conscious awareness, kindness and caring, for ourselves, for one another, and for the planet we call home. Of course, a carefully curated line up is key to that and in 2022 Noisily will sound like never before as UK progressive house legend John Digweed plays the festival for the very first time. Closing the Noisily Stage on Sunday evening with an epic four hour set he is sure to bring real class. Over the last two years Carbon has delivered a consistent set of incredible releases and alongside his compadres Lampe & Luis M, Carbon will be part of a seismic psychedelic techno session on the Saturday night.

Opening the Noisily Stage on Saturday alongside her good friend Tony Casanova, Frida Darko will bring the forest to life with her blend of psychedelic downtempo techno.  Her music, although downtempo, has a driving quality which will ignite the dancefloor as she takes us through the gears and brings another day on the Noisily dancefloor into full swing. On top of this will be red hot tech house from OC & Verde, big bass sounds from across the spectrum by the legendary Bristol tastemaker Eats Everything and much more besides.

GHEIST unveil music video for ‘We Are Not Alone’ promoting awareness around Mental Health

The Music video aims to drive awareness around the subject of Mental Health in a reflection of the past 18+ months

WATCH: https://vimeo.com/568527183/b32709860a

Following on from their essential Zukunft album on their own Radau Music label in November, GHEIST now serves up a hugely poignant new video for ‘We Are Not Alone.’ The video touches on the subject of mental heath, which is close to the German pair’s heart as they recently lost a close friend and tour manager due to suicide.

The album explored a world of emotional, colorful, diverse, and delicately crafted electronic music with hints of melancholic optimism. This single is another standout that finds the duo really evaluate their sound and skills to new levels. It features their signature mix of  breakbeats, beautifully crafted synthesizers and exciting vocals delivered with real melancholy. They touch on the difficulties of being alone while the video shows someone in isolation at home and looking lost.

Say the pair, “Coming out of these exhausting and strange past 18 month there appears to be a topic that has always been around us but seems now bigger than ever. We’ve been isolated, we’ve been alone and highly in danger of suffering from depression. It’s a matter of the heart for us to talk about this sad phenomenon and get loud about it. We just recently lost a close friend who committed suicide and no one saw it coming.”

“We see it as our duty as artists to point out this problem and create a safe place to open up and destigmatize mental illness as such and built awareness especially for people with suicidal tendencies.  We are about to head into winter and we are still in a post pandemic phase as a society. We should sensitize ourselves for those who need to be seen and make sure that no one feels alone or left behind. Please let us all take care of each other and make the time to listen because WE ARE NOT ALONE.”

‘We Are Not Alone’ carries a vital universal message that should be shared as far and wide as possible.
