Colyn releases his highly anticipated EP on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Label

Stream / Purchase – lnk.to/OxygenLevelsLow

Following his previous excursion Patterns EP, dutch DJ and producer Colyn returns to Afterlife with more interplanetary sonics.

The title cut merges a rubbery low end groove with a cacophony of cosmic FX and a robotic vocal clip. ‘Wait For You’ feels like a cybernetic ode to lost love, with a stirring melody and heartrending arrangement.

‘KL427’ and ‘Lightyears’ are a little more pensive, blending emotive composition and compelling rhythms to tantalise your body and mind.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see all your favourite 90s pop artists together for one night and guarantees to transport you back to simpler times.

The multi-platinum song Barbie Girl arguably sums up the late 90s pop era by itself and its europop creators, Aqua, will be performing live this October. Hailing from Turin, Italy, Eiffel 65 came together in 1997 and the group quickly gained global popularity. Their singles Blue (Da Ba Dee) and Move Your Body from the album Europop proved immensely successful worldwide.  Heyyy Macarena! We’ve all heard those legendary lyrics at parties up and down the country. We’re bringing Los Del Rio to the arena, the creators of the globally successful tune Macarena released in 1993.

British soul singer, Heather Small joins us and is the lead singer in the group M People which went on to win Best British Dance act at the Brit awards in 1994 and 1996. Lou Bega’s performs live! His iconic tune Mambo No. 5 topped the charts in most European countries including France, Germany, and the UK. Next up, Gala’s incredible tune Freed From Desire – another Eurodance belter from 1996 which peaked at number 2 in the UK charts for 8 weeks.

Atomic Kittens formed in 1997 and their songs Whole Again and The Tide Is High captured an era. Two original members, Liz and Natasha will be performing these classics and more live. Irish girl group B*Witched also join us, best known for their tunes C’est La Vie, Rollercoaster, To You I Belong and Blame It on the Weatherman. These songs all reached number one and the group sold millions of records worldwide.

2 Unlimited’s legendary acid-house track Get Ready For This released in 1991 and reached dizzying heights across the globe. Corona created seminal dance tracks such as The Rhythm of the Night released in 1993, which is up there with the best dance music to come out of the 90s. Italian dance act Whigfield created the legendary tune Saturday Night in 1993 and joins us at 90s Baby. We can’t wait for you to see them!

Las Ketchup’s The Ketchup Song (Asereje) sold over 7 million copies worldwide and immediately transports you to those early noughties’ times. British boy band Five formed in 1997 and released their tracks Keep On Movin’ and Everyone Get Up several years later. Their hip-hop and dance tunes are not to be missed. 20 years ago, fledgling popstar group Liberty X came onto the scene and in just a few years went on to become UK superstars. They released ten consecutive UK top 20 singles such as Just A Little and Got To Have Your Love.

British boy band, Damage, had huge success in the 90s with eleven hit singles such as Forever – Lady of Soul and Wonderful Tonight and of course the legendary Ghetto Romance! Also performing live is 911, the iconic 90s boy band who have had international success, having sold over 15 million singles and albums worldwide. The female British group The 411 captured an era with their song Dumb with its smooth R&B vocals and catchy lyrics and have reformed once more to perform live at 90s Baby. London’s hip-hop group Big Brovaz known for Booty Luv also join us, promising to deliver nostalgic 90s vibes. Chico starred in the quarterfinals of The X Factor and is best known for his number 1 single It’s Chico Time in 2008.

The truly iconic Gareth Gates performs live on 29th October 2022. Starting his career on Pop Idol, Gates went onto achieve immense success in the early 2000s and is best known for his tracks What My Heart Wants and Go Your Own Way. S Club Allstars includes original band members Tina, Brad, Stacey who will be performing some of S Club’s most iconic tracks. S Club 7’s You’re My Number One was reached number 2 in the UK charts and its success increased through the noughties.

We’re excited to have the British R&B girl group, Honeyz join us in this jam-packed line-up. They group skyrocketed across the UK charts with their tunes Finally Found in 1998 and Won’t Take It Lying Down in 2000. They’re not an act to miss. Finally, the Cheeky Girls will be performing live. Yes, they’re still going strong after their debut single Cheeky Song sold over a million copies internationally. Make sure you get your tickets soon before they’re snapped up! Let’s get ready for the biggest 90s pop show Manchester has to offer.

Rampage returns to Open Air for an XXL edition this year

RAMPAGE OPEN AIR 2022 – 1/2/3 July 2022 – KRISTALPARK, LOMMEL (BE)

3 days instead of two, 6 stages total and more than 250 artists from all over the world, including the biggest dubstep line-up in EU history, plus swimming pools, skate ramps, big screen cinema, pre and after parties, silent disco… Rampage is pulling out all the stops!

THE BIGGEST DRUM&BASS AND DUBSTEP FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD!

July 1, 2 and 3, Rampage returns to Kristalpark in Lommel (Belgium), a pristine spot away from everyone and everything, to set up a Walhalla for drum & bass and dubstep fans. After a first, very successful edition in 2019, this second editions of the biggest drum & bass and dubstep party in the world is set to be of the highest possible level. With over 250 acts from all corners of the world, including the likes of turntable don Andy C, studio wizards Camo & Krooked, crowd favourites Macky Gee, Koven and Kanine, recent sensation Luude and bass music heroes like Nero and Modestep, the line-up is looking tastier than ever. Add to that hostings by Star Warz, for the deep end, and Invaderz, for the classic jump-up sound, as well as acts representing every possible flavour of drum&bass, every fan of the genre will be spoiled in abundance.

For the neuro fans, Rampage has the likes of Audio, The Upbeats, Pythius, Teddy Killerz, Ed Rush and Neonlight. For the jump-up gang, there’s acts like Original Sin, Upgrade, Hedex, Turno, Problem Central and Annix. Artists like Metrik, Rene LaVice, Maduk, The Prototypes, Danny Byrd and Tantrum Desire can be expected to play across the board, while Etherwood or Edlan will surely bring the smoothness. Taking care of the rollers are leading performers such as Enei, Levela, S.P.Y., AC13 and Born On Road, while the likes of Bryan Gee and Dillinja can take it back to the old school properly.

THE BIGGEST DUBSTEP LINE-UP… EVER!

With 150 drum&bass artists on the bill, Rampage Open Air ticks every box of the genre, bit it’s also a resurrection of dubstep of sorts, with the biggest dubstep line-up in European history. With loads of new acts from Australia and the US popping up in recent years, plus a renewed intrest for the UK producers, the genre is getting its second wind. From old school heroes like Nero, Modestep and Caspa, to new school favourites like Virtual Riot (who recently made it into DJMag’s top 100 out of the blue), FuntCase, Riot Ten, PhaseOne, Herobust and Spag Heddy, dubstep is taking over an entire stage for 3 days, with extra acts sprinkled out on other stages too.

Add to that a standout live performance of Canadian masterminds Black Tiger Sex Machine and Uk bass house flavours from Holy Goof and Skepsis & Darkzy, this line-up truly brings together all flavours of bass music.

FESTIVAL COMFORT OF THE HIGHEST ORDER

Next to adding absolutely top notch production, with lights, LEDs and lasers as far as the eye can see, Rampage prides itself in offering the best possible experience for its visitors and the festival site will be set up in away to provide the most comfortable circumstances to enjoy the music and the sideshow entertainment. Because next to the biggest line-up a mass music festival ever brought together, there are free swimming pools on the campsite, a skateramp on site with demos every day, there are free bumper cars and other carnival rides, a festival market, big screen cinema to chill out, silent disco afterparty’s and loads more.

After a gruesome 2 years of postponing the annual indoor event, Rampage finally returned to Sportpaleis in March with stellar performances by Noisia, Pendulum, Modestep, Koven, Camo & Krooked & Mefjus, Eptic, Virtual Riot and Murdock, and the team is amped and ready to produce an even more amazing Open Air festival this summer.

Charlotte de Witte celebrates her new “Universal Consciousness” EP with exciting ‘New Form’ V: live stream

Stream

Order

Charlotte de Witte takes charge of her KNTXT label’s 15th release with the new Universal Consciousness EP. It comes after Amazingblaze – Venture EP and features four more powerful and psychedelic techno cuts.
A day before release on Wednesday 27th of April at 19:00 CEST and in collaboration with Beatport, Charlotte heads up ’New Form’ V: Universal Consciousness stream. It was recorded in the empty Flanders Expo venue with the epic production that was set up for the hugely successful event on 16th April.

Charlotte is fresh off the back of her biggest ever KNTXT party in mid April. It took place in her hometown of Ghent and saw her play a historic 10 hour set to a vast crowd of people who were taken on a real sonic journey. Also in April, Charlotte returned to London’s iconic Printworks for the first time in five years, this time with her KNTXT concept and once again raised the roof. While staying busy on the road, she continues to curate the Apple Music x KNTXT page while cooking up ever fresh sounds in the studio. This latest EP is another subtle evolution in her signature style.

Says Charlotte of the EP, “following up on my latest Asura EP in September, I decided to delve a bit deeper in the world of psychedelia. All the tracks of the EP are psy inspired, some more than others. I’ve been playing these tracks for a while now in the clubs. It’s been a real
pleasure to see the crowd’s reaction and see the amount of track ID requests online. This one is from me to you, I hope you enjoy my Universal Consciousness EP!”

Opener ‘Satori’ is dark and heavy. The chunky, raw drums hit hard and flat, as the squelchy acid synths pan about the mix. An enchanting middle eastern vocal wail brings an extra trance-inducing element that is sure to lock in the hearts and minds of the crowd.

The super ‘Kali’ is a slick and high speed piece that shows the love relation between psy trance and techno. The video game style synths peel off the groove next to alien sound effects, and the subtly evolving acid line burrows deep into your brain.

Then comes the dynamic, bouncy and acid laced-title cut ‘Universal Consciousness’. It’s a fulsome tune with rubbery kicks and visceral 303 loops that will melt the mind, as dancers fall under its hypnotic and tripped out spell.

Last of all is ‘Ahimsa’ with its bright, lashing acid synths and hammering kick drums. It’s the perfect mix of physical groove and psyched-out synth work, and is perfect for both sweaty basements and vast main rooms alike. When the mystical flutes come in, it takes things to another level entirely.

This is another all consuming EP of innovative techno from Charlotte de Witte.
