TheIsle Of Wight Festival today announces seven new acts for the festival’s prestigious Big Top stage, who will all perform over the weekend of 9-12th June at Seaclose Park.
Joining the already incredible line up, including headliners Stereophonics, Faithless, The Who and Queen + Adam Lambert, are Australian indie-pop sibling trio Germein Sisters, multi-instrumentalist Simon Townshend, atmospheric rock ‘n’ rollers Bang Bang Romeo, tuneful and cheeky cover band The Lounge Kittens, powerful rockers The Carnabys, indie-punk heroes The Novatones and the BBC Radio 2 A-listed Kerri Watt.
Having spent their childhood jamming together on their family’s bushland property in the Adelaide Hills, Georgia, Ella and Clara Germein decided to combine their individual skills and form
Germein Sisters. The band have toured Australia, New Zealand, China, Germany and London, and their irresistible charm and flawless harmonies have been compared to the likes of The Corrs, Haim and Coldplay.
Hailing from a family of incredible musicians and regarded as The Who’s “secret weapon” as part of their live band on their 2012/2013 Who’s Quadrophenia and More Tour,
Simon Townshend has released 8 acclaimed solo albums and one with the band Casbah Club, all released through his own US label Stir Music. Simon will be taking to the Big Top stage over the weekend performing tracks from his upcoming albums ‘Denial’ and ‘Looking Out Looking In’.
Labeled as “a harder edged Fleetwood Mac”, Bang Bang Romeo will be bringing their dark, atmospheric rock ‘n’ roll to the Big Top stage. Their sound draws on influences from the likes of Jefferson Airplane, The Mamas and Papas and The Doors, and recent single ‘Johannesburg’ landed on the Radio X playlist.
The Lounge Kittens shot to fame in 2014 with their viral internet video for their cover of ‘Rollin’ by Limp Bizkit. From Sean Paul to Slipknot, the band’s covers have been wowing fans in the UK and in Europe having just returned from touring with the bad boys of heavy metal Steel Panther. Their tuneful and cheeky style will certainly give a sparkle to the Big Top stage!
They started out playing Rolling Stones and Kings of Leon covers in pubs, more recently, The Carnabys have been on a world tour and supported numerous big names. They’ve opened for the likes of Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Kings of Leon and Lenny Kravitz, and their raw, powerful high-octane rock action is sure to bring a burst of energy to the festival over the weekend.
South Coast four piece The Novatones are an indie-punk band fuelled on a love/hate relationship with all things British. Since forming in 2012, their loyal fan-base grows bigger each year and with a debut album out in the Summer, it’s only due to grow.
Born and raised in Milngavie, just outside Glasgow, Kerri Watt was a music fan from an early age, singing and playing piano at school and competing in regional dance shows by the age of 8. The path has only been upwards since then with her most successful single to date ‘Long Way Home’ which won huge support from BBC Radio 2, climbing onto the station’s A List.

The jewel in the crown of Northern England's festival calendar, the beloved Beat-Herder Festival, is back with a much-anticipated cheer from the 12,000 set to attend. Following its huge 10th birthday celebrations last year and first line-up announcement last month, Beat-Herder reveal its second wave of artists for 2016.
What sets this festival apart from all the rest – in addition to its entirely hand-made site and unpretentious atmosphere – is its wealth of musical diversity. True to form, in 2016 Beat-Herder will once again celebrate all genres of music, with a genuinely diverse line up that features household names across rock, house, techno, dub, reggae, drum & bass, folk, indie – with even a spot of EDM and dubstep thrown in for good measure.
Announced today, and joining veteran Scottish psych-rockers Primal Scream, folk-pop troubadour and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Donovan, andreggae legend Chronixx (alongside his Zincfence Redemption Band)on the main stage, are Berlin electronic duo Booka Shade, Swedish indie pop band Miike Snow, German electronic music duo Digitalism, Stockport's own Fairey Brass Band, andEssex folk artistBeans on Toast.
Joining guitarist and singer Louis Berry and electro-pop duo Cash and David at The Maison D'Etre, the stage known for hosting hotly tipped musical talent in an intimate setting, include enigmatic London band Haelos, BBC introducing favourite Zibra, singer and multi-instrumentalist Rationale, dance-pop outfit NIMMO, York electro six-piece Grinny Grandad, Liverpool rock band The Vyrll Societyand Brighton's Yonaka – who recently signed to Phil Taggart's Hometown Records.
Joining headliner and LA-based dubstep superstar Jauz and living ragga legend General Levy at Beat-Herder's very own 60ft x 60ft rave Fortress – complete with its own lasers, ramparts and fire breathing turrets, are ground-breaking and Breakspoll award-winning DJ Lady Waks, breakbeat producer Krafty Kuts, DJ's Deekline, Jon Rundell and Mr C, Megadog veteran and techno stalwart DJ Templehead, producer duo Hybrid Theoryand house and techno outfit Solardo.
Beat-Herder friend and regular Mr Scruff will be lighting up the woods at the Toil Trees stage, alongside DJ, producer and tastemaker Chris Coco. They join an already impressive line up of house and techno talent, including Riton, Dirtybird co-founder Justin Martin, Andhim, Defected stalwart Sonny Fodera and a special Doorly & Friends takeover, featuring fellow Dirtybird head honcho Claude VonStroke, Derrick Carter, Will Tramp and many more.
Platinum-selling rapper The Game will jet to Zrce Beach in Croatia this July along with Tottenham MC Chip and r&b singer Kelhani for Fresh Island 2016. A myriad of talent from Canada and Europe have also been added and will join the festival for its 5th edition. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Adriatic coast, Fresh Island invites thousands of revellers to party on the beach this summer with some of the best names in hip-hop, grime and r&b including Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Premier, Logan Sama, Shakka and more.
Over the years Fresh Island has welcomed some of the biggest international hip-hop acts to perform the intimate beach-side setting of Zrce Beach including Snoop Dogg, Nas, Method Man & Redman, Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, Iggy Azalea, Mobb Deep, KRS-One and more. Never one to rest on its laurels, this year the festival invites hip-hop giant The Game to headline 2016.
The West Coast rapper has become one of the most recognised names in hip-hop following the release of the seminal debut album The Documentary, which sold over 5 million copies worldwide and has worked with the best in business including Dr Dre, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Future and more. With plenty of new material under his belt thanks to his critically acclaimed fourth album The Documentary 2, The Game's performance at Fresh Island will be unmissable.
Flying the flag for the UK amongst the latest additions for Fresh Island is Chip. The 25-year-old, formerly known as Chipmunk, won his first MOBO at just 17, soared to international success and has since returned to his roots to become one of grime's most revered MCs. Expect to be reminded why when he takes to the Fresh stage this July. Also newly confirmed for this year's festival is r&b visionary Kelhani. At just 20, the Grammy-nominated singer is one of the genre's most exciting new talents and will deliver the perfect soundtrack as revellers party poolside on the beach at Fresh Island 2016.
Supporting hip-hop talent from all over the world, this year Fresh Island presents a Canadian showcase with rappers Illvibe and D.O Gibson, who's best known for holding the record for the longest freestyle rap of an incredible 8 hours and 45 minutes. The festival also welcomes Demir Cesar & Kidcut from Germany, Italy's DJ Phox, DJ Pfund 500 from Switzerland, Slovenia's Sladica and Kyu St33d and Supa! of French DJ crew Yard.
Following its premier showcase at EDC Las Vegas in June 2015, the modified Crystal Village stage will makes its debut at EDC UK on Saturday 9 July, hosting some of the biggest international names in dance music. Taking centre stage at the kineticFIELD and standing a massive 30 metres tall by 70 metres wide, the fully immersive Crystal Village spectacle will tower over revellers during performances by Avicii, Axwell / Ingrosso, Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, Eric Prydz, Robin Schulz and Martin Solveig.
The stage’s unique design encompasses all four elements – earth, fire, water and air in a visual representation displaying EDC’s most prominent pillars; technology, art and nature. The beautiful Crystal Village houses cascading waterfalls, a fog-breathing dragon, two statuesque owls and the central crystal-like owl figurine illuminated by over 1,000 lighting fixtures, more than 400 video tiles, 28 lasers, flames of all colours, 15 co2 cannons, and hundreds of streamer units in a multi-sensory experience where state of the art technical production meets the world’s best DJs and producers.

The feisty Imelda May has a truly unique vocal talent, inspired by the sounds of jazz infused with rockabilly. The rise and rise of Imelda has been unstoppable since the release of her first studio album Love Tattoo in 2009. The Number 1 Mayhem followed in 2012 and Tribal in 2014. Imelda and her band have been touring non-stop around the world; she is a stellar performer who makes her Nozstock debut headlining on Sunday, bringing the festival to a rousing climax. Touching down in the Hidden Valley, the festival welcomes the almighty ska-reggae powerhouse, The Skints. The guys have been fusing reggae, ska, grime and hip hop since 2007 to create an incomparable sound and bring a wild dynamic to Nozstock.
Honing his craft for the last 20 years, Jaguar Skills has kept a mysterious edge to his character with details of his real name, age and home town left largely unconfirmed. He has been responsible for some of the most exciting musical projects of the past few years, centered around producing stunning mixes which have festivals and clubs partying to his genre-crossing sounds. Known as “the King of Jungle", Goldie is an artist whose creativity knows no bounds. He was a graffiti and album cover artist before he started performing; from a MBE to over 20 years as a Metalheadz lynch-pin, Goldie is one of the UK’s most celebrated music artists and a cultural icon revered for his productions and DJing. From their adopted home of Bristol, where early reggae, drum 'n' bass and dubstep pioneers from Massive Attack to Portishead were informing their cultural history, My Nu Leng understand the heritage and importance of bass music in the city. The celebrated duo are known for their blistering sets and dark, smouldering vibes, heavy on mood but always danceable.
Many more live acts have been announced for Nozstock. Buster Shuffle effortlessly fuse Cockney ska/pop and lyrics that are guaranteed to make you laugh, with songs about crafty cats and messy divorces. The Lounge Kittens are a cheeky, glamorous and geeky trio, spanning rock, punk, ska, pop, soul, metal, dance and grunge to sublime party-time effect. Also at the party is the Mercury-nominated King Kong Company. The Irish dance band have performed alongside the likes of Orbital and Paul Oakenfold; their sound can be likened to the brass section and heavy bass of Dreadzone mixed with the hypnotic rhythm of the Chemical Brothers. Benjamin Yellowitz is a young singer songwriter who takes acoustic roots to new levels, influenced by RnB and the darker side of pop. Subculture Sage bring pure hip-hop vibes to Nozstock, as party-starters of the finest pedigree and the old skool DJ with vibes for miles, Uncle Dugs makes a welcome return to The Cubicles. Further new live acts announced include Idles, Anchorsong, Funke and The Two Tone Baby, J-Man, Seas of Mirth, Foreign Affairs, Cousin Kula, Lobster, Adam Scriven, Mr Tea and The Minions, Junior Bill, Black Thistles, Black Salvadore and Cherryshoes.
Nozstock’s original dance arena is a former bull pen and milking parlour, and Sika Studios are returning to host. The UK’s top underground hip-hop, grime, rave, graffiti and clothing family are making a very welcome return, with an epic assembly of talent descending on Bromyard including Klashnekoff,Devilman and a RLD Records showcase. Friday sees The Blast return to Nozstock, with their multi genre sounds. Their line up includes President T, Sir Spyro and Nastee Boi. Psytrance stalwarts Tribe of Frog have also announced their headliners; OOOD and Illegal Machines whilst in The Swinging Gardens of Babylon electro swing heavyweight Dutty Moonshine will be taking up headline duties.
Over in Laughing Stock, the self-styled Henning Wehn is the German comedy ambassador to the U.K., a hilarious TV and radio regular who skewers the British way of life with aplomb. The teutonic comedian blends self-mockery and nationalistic superiority to great effect. He’s joined by the outlandish and eccentric Phil Kay, who has become something of a Nozstock regular and the man described by British Theatre Guide as the “leading hidden master of modern British comedy" Richard Herring. Returning after last year’s extravaganza, Mash Cinema present a host of cultural videos and ancient references featuring The Power In Our Hands, The Jungle Book, Nosferatu, Nanook Of The North, Hydro The Film, London Calling: Shorts, Nothing Can Turn Into A Void, Sell Off – The Abolition Of Your NHS and The Adventures Of Prince Ahmed.
Set on a beautiful working farm in the heart of Herefordshire, the reassuringly welcoming and independent event has evolved from 50 friends at the inaugural gathering and flourished into an intimate musical odyssey. House pioneer and legendary DJ, Theo Parrish, heads to Standon this year to showcase why he has become one of the most respected and loved DJs in the world. GOLDIE who was recently awarded an MBE for his contribution to UK music also joins the fray along with experimentalist Luke Abbott and Gold Panda, who's set for his highly anticipated third album release in May.
Taking the festival into the early hours in Standon Calling's very own night club, the notorious Cowshed, stacked with a brand new soundsystem. Providing the soundtrack for revellers to dance under the stars will be Hospitality Records and Savage Disco who helm the decks for nightly takeovers. Celebrating 20 years in 2016, Hospital Records bring with them a handpicked selection of musical talent to the party. The formidable London Elektricity head the bill joined by Fred V & Grafix, S.P.Y, Krakota, Hugh Hardieand Ownglow plus MCs Wrec, Inja and Carasel are onboard to fire up the crowds. Taking a break from its usual hangout of an East London strip club, Sink The Pink's most outrageous club night, Savage Disco, joins Standon Calling for a night of all out hedonism. Taking over the decks will be the Grammy-nominated producer Artwork, Jonjo Jury, Jonathan Bestley, Guy Williams and deep funk DJ Purple Disco Machine, better know for his floor filling classic My House.
Along with the Cowshed, Standon Calling will also be home to four other micro venues. The Topshedwhich will see old friends return to Standon, Groove Garden will deliver a heady mix of disco, funk, soul and house poolside. Expect reggae vibes at Real Roots, while Beefy Melons Vintage Temple of Love and Gratitude is back with vintage threads, tunes and free watermelons.
Now, Lovebox unveils even more incredible names and forward-thinking stage partners, cementing its status as London’s most diverse and expansive music festival.
South London MC Giggs joins the bill, performing on the Noisey stage on Friday. Giggs has been an integral part of the grime scene for the past decade, and remains just as relevant today, lending scene-stealing verses to the likes of JME, Chase and Status, Dizzee Rascal and Waka Flocka Flame in recent times.
Also appearing on the Noisey stage will be British music legend Shy FX alongside Stamina MC. Shy FX’s sets are infamously incendiary, and his appearance at Lovebox is set to be no different.
Thump will be programming some of the finest names in electronic music on the Saturday. The likes of acclaimed producer/DJ George FitzGerald, Canadian duo Bob Moses and composer/musician Rival Consoles will be appearing alongside Kiasmos, Reza Athar, Gemini Brothers and Cici, plus a very special guest TBA.
Some of the freshest, most exciting new acts out there will also be appearing in the Park. Genre-hopping singer-songwriter Izzy Bizu will take to the Main Stage on the Friday. Elsewhere, hotly-tipped vocalist Jorja Smith joins Soundcrash on the Saturday.
Lovebox friend and favourite Heidi returns to the Park to headline Kopparberg Urban Forest hosted by promoters Krankbrother on the Friday, preceded by a selection of incendiary DJs including the internationally renowned Tom Trago, Dutch house legend William Kouam Djoko and Amsterdam nightlife staple Cinnaman, as well as Krankbrother and Jack C.
On the Saturday, the Urban Forest will be taken over by a diverse selection of up-and-coming talent, including rapper/singer/songwriter Tiggs Da Author, psyche-pop four piece Beaty Heart, soul singer Jodie Abacus, mysterious electro-soul newcomer Seramic and experimental artist Kojey Radical. Lovebox are delighted to welcome back Dalston basement club Visions on board to host their own stage. Visions has garnered a reputation for being one of London’s most exciting night spots. Their parties are legendary and special guests are guaranteed…a few may just appear at their stage on the Friday alongside Visions residents Darq E Freaker, Star.One, Snips and many more.
Radio station NTS – broadcasting from Dalston, across the globe – will be hosting the cream of hip hop and electronic talent. There will be appearances from Soulection producer Sango, rising US rapper Denzel Curry, London beatmaker Lil Silva, plus Hannah Faith, CKtrl, Motive and Tim & Barry.
Corona Sunsets will be bringing the sound of the Balearics to Victoria Park with their stunning mandala structure. The Friday sees sets from Warp act Nightmares On Wax’s Soundsystem, remix master The Reflex, innovative R&B/soul singer-producer Andrew Ashong as well as Thris Tian, Desert Sound Colony, Kasra V and Wild Fantasy.
Meanwhile, the Saturday will feature the inimitable Norman Jay MBE, disco group Crazy P Soundsystem, the boogie boat that is PBR Streetgang and disco duo Unabombers plus Pete Herbert, Ray Mang & Bill Brewster, Mo Kolours, Bobby Pleasure and Tayo & Tope.

France’s biggest electronic music festival Electrobeach is set to have worldwide fans gravitating to it’s latest edition, as it prepares to return to the stunning Port-Barcarès for its fourth official anniversary this July. In a line-up packing enough weight to make galactic waves, a celestial cast of David Guetta, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Eric Prydz, Axwell / Ingrosso, Hardwell, Martin Solveig and many more are amongst confirmed names for 2016 – with the festival announcing the addition of a brand new techno-focused stage for the very first time.
Constituting a solar system of acts big enough to have orbits of their own,Electrobeach eclipses all for this year’s three-day spectacular. French supernova David Guetta acts as captain, with a whole array of groundbreaking and ground-shaking artists set to join him. ‘Opus’ hitmaker Eric Prydz will make an appearance alongside Dutch superstar Martin Garrix, with the Tiësto returning in triumph as do Martin Solveig and Axwell / Ingrosso. The festival even welcomes red carpet rebel Ruby Rose to it’s A-list clique, as well as Moombahton master Dillon Francis, Nile Rodger’s and Rihanna collaboratorNicky Romero and IDMA’s number 1 Global DJ Hardwell.
Upholding the French Tricolour and all the passion of its dance community, the ‘Treasured Soul’ of Michael Calfan is confirmed, as well as one of Forbes’ ’30 Under 30’s DJ Snake. This year’s Beach Stage will be purely focused on the countries most exciting exports – welcoming the likes of Norman Doray andGregory Klosman – and sees Electrobeach putting French DJ’s and nightclub residents at its front and centre throughout the weekend. Paris’ Fun Radio are also on the scene with their specialist selectors, set to air a ‘le son dancefloor’ out of studio and under the sun; likewise, Flaix FM crash the party from Catalan to flex their own respected residents. In a festival first, Electrobeach’s patriotism will be pushed even further with a prized demonstration from thePatrouille de France – a flyover of famous flair that will fill cloudless skies in what’s set to be a stunning weekend highlight.
Proving themselves attuned to the meteoric rise of techno, Electrobeach’s next and last trick for 2016 is to call on the cut of crews in Cocoon, Luciano & Friends, and a yet to be announced third force. With Cocoon’s very own SvenVäth on board, the festival packs no punches with the addition of dance legendLuciano. Label residents Marcus Fix and Cesar Merveille will represent each brand respectively, making Electrobeach’s latest expansion both equally authentic as it is exciting.

Already boasting an untouchable array of current favourites and rising trendsetters Live At Leeds 2016 has added even more names to their 10th Anniversary spectacular, cementing its position as the go-to destination for the music that will soundtrack 2016.
Leading the new announcement is multi-award winning Yorkshire rose Corrine Bailey Rae returning 10 years on from the phenomenal success of her self-titled debut album. Lead by the classic wordings of “Like A Star” and “Put Your Records On”, it flew straight into the number 1 spot and soundtracked endless summer romances. Her hotly anticipated return is sure to be a defining moment of 2016, returning to the city where it all began with a momentous performance atLive At Leeds 2016.
Joining her on the line up is the electro-soul vocals of Shura, whose breathtaking tales of heartbreak and love has seen her garner acclaim including placements on the BBC Sound Of lists and more. Sydney trio DMA’s will be bringing their BritPop inspired melodic rock to Live At Leeds fresh from the acclaimed release of debut album “Hill’s End” and their most recent sold-out UK Tour. Today Fusion Festival and 107.6 Capital FM Liverpool announced a stellar line-up of pop royalty to perform at Fusion Festival, Otterspool Promenade on the 3rd & 4th September.
Serial chart-topper Jason Derulo will headline Day One, along with Tinie Tempah, Labrinth, Craig David, Sigala, Fleur East and Krept & Konan. On Sunday the 4th of September an exclusive festival headline 90-minute performance from Olly Murs will bring the two day event to a close. Also performing on Sunday are Busted, The Vamps, Nathan Sykes, Lawson, Ella Henderson and Jamie Lawson.
The massive line-up was revealed this morning exclusively on the 107.6 Capital FM Liverpool Breakfast Show with Adam, Gemma and Imogen. There are many more acts still to be announced – listeners should keep it Capital to find out who else is going to be added to the stellar line-up.

In an exclusive headline festival performance, Olly Murs and his band will close the show on Sunday night with a breathtaking 90 minute show featuring all his classic hits from ‘Troublemaker’ and ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ through to his recent hits ‘Wrapped Up’ and ‘Kiss me”. The six time BRIT Award nominated artist was catapulted into the limelight when he stole the hearts of the nation with his cheeky charms on the X Factor 2009. Murs can now boast 3 Number One albums and a sensational live show that sells out arenas all across the country.
