Announcing four incredible headliners and a huge bill of amazing music, we are entering a new chapter of light and sound, exploring the wonders of Colour on our mission to increase the peace this 7th – 10th September at the Lulworth Estate, Dorset.
Rob da Bank says: “Well what an adventure this promises to be… we have a beautiful new home with a massive castle in the middle of it, acres of beautiful woodland and forest, a sea view and the dramatic Jurassic coastline. Going back to our roots with Josie da Bank’s hand-drawn artwork, reviving all our favourite stages from 14 years of Bestival history and going out with all our headliners for the first time ever together, we’re pretty excited at Bestival HQ. From pop to grime, hip-hop to techno, folk to classical and every style in between we are reclaiming our place as the funnest, most adventurous, musically savvy and downright magical festival on the map. Please come along for the ride. and remember Increase the Peace”
We are honoured to say that The xx will be the first ever Castle Stage headliners at Bestival! Never anything less than breath-taking, we can’t think of a more fitting band to get the main stage action underway in our new home.
Commenting on their headline performance, The xx said: “Bestival was one of the first festivals we played, back in 2010, and it had always been a dream for us…we even begged to play the previous year. In 2012 we returned to play the main stage and we’re so happy to say we’ll be headlining this year, at the new site in Dorset. The Isle of Wight will hold a special place in our hearts but we’re excited to bring our new show to their new home”.
Guaranteed to be momentous, we are extremely excited indeed to announce that hip-hop heroes A Tribe Called Quest will headline Saturday at Bestival 2017, performing what will be their last UK Show.
Bringing our debut mainland Bestival to a suitably triumphant close, we are completely over the moon to announce synth-pop geniuses Pet Shop Boys as our Sunday night headliners. Quite simply legends, we think they’re the perfect band to bring some mind-blowing colour to our first Lulworth Estate finale!
Commenting on their headline show, Pet Shop Boys said: “Amazingly it is over ten years since we last played Bestival but we remember it being one of the most enjoyable festivals ever. Looking forward to bringing our new show there this year – and seeing how the audience has decided to dress up!”
And completing 2017’s fantastic foursome of first-time headliners we are delighted to announce Wimbledon’s finest, Jamie T will be the man kicking it all off with an exclusive performance topping the Thursday night bill on our second stage, The Box.

Taking place at Glasgow Green from 7th – 9th July, 2017, TRNSMT will feature headline performances from Radiohead, Kasabian and BiffyClyro. The 1975, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Belle & Sebastian, London Grammar, George Ezra, Two Door Cinema Club, Twin Atlantic, The Kooks, Blossoms, Rag‘n’Bone Man, Circa Waves and many more to be announced, form the line-up for one of the most highly anticipated music events of the Scottish summer. This truly award-winning line-up, with a mighty 72 BRITs, Grammy Awards, Ivor Novello and Mercury Music Prize award nominations bestowed to the artists on the bill, is unyielding in its quest to provide the greatest experience of the summer for music fans.
Glasgow Green will play host to this truly metropolitan, non-camping festival, which stages global superstars alongside the very best of local talent. Glasgow, the UNESCO City of Music and cultural and artistic hub, will provide the backdrop as TRNSMT interrupts Glasgow’s summer air with an electrifying celebration of music, bringing people together to enjoy the acts they already love, discover the new, and undergo life-affirming experiences.
Fresh on the heels of the release of their ninth LP, the critically acclaimed A Moon Shaped Pool, Radiohead make their return to Glasgow, playing on Friday 7th July. One of the most iconic and innovative bands in the world, Radiohead have evolved continuously since their inception, having created an eclectic back catalogue of albums and songs now widely regarded as classics. No other British band of the past 30 years continuously tops “Greatest Album Ever” or “Most Influential Artist” polls curated by fans and critics alike, are cited as influential to countless other bands of today, and have the unique ability to command respect from a live audience, no matter the scale of event they play. Radiohead last played Glasgow in 2008, so their return to the city in 2017, a year which has already seen them BRIT Award nominated for Best British Group, is long-awaited and highly anticipated.
Since the release of their self-titled debut album in 2004, Kasabian have gone on to become one of the biggest rock bands in the country and will headline TRNSMT on Saturday 8th July. They’ve continued to fly the flag for British guitar music ever since, releasing a further four critically acclaimed albums, all of which reached number one. Their new record will be released in the spring. The Leicester four-piece are known for their blistering live shows, with their unique blend of colossal dance beats and rock turning whole festival fields into dancefloors. Equally at home on the festival stage, in stadiums, arenas or in a small intimate setting, few bands can unify a crowd of thousands in quite the same way as Kasabian.
Biffy Clyro are three childhood friends from Ayrshire, Scotland who formed a band, delivered three albums of abrasive youthful exuberance and finally cracked the big time when their fourth – 2007’s Puzzle – hit the charts at number one. With a further three albums under their belt, they are now bona fide stars who can headline festivals, fill arenas and deliver hit singles in an era in which rock bands rarely trouble the charts. Currently nominated for Best British Group at this year’s BRIT Awards, Biffy Clyro’s evolution from the jagged post-hardcore of their early material to the huge alternative rock sound of recent years has won them a fervent and fanatic fan base, whose cries of “Mon the Biff!” will be heard for miles across the city when they headline TRSNMT on Sunday 9th July.
The 1975’s album I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It proved they were here for a long time, and a good time, topping the charts in the UK and US and becoming one of the defining albums of recent years. The band is nominated for Brit Awards this year including Best British Group and Album of the Year and will no doubt be one of the many highlights of TRNSMT on Sunday 9th July.
Welsh four-piece Catfish and the Bottlemen will play TRNSMT hot off the back of a world tour for their critically acclaimed sophomore album, The Ride, which saw their anthemic sound reach number one in UK album charts. TRNSMT’s Glasgow crowd will be sure to welcome the band on Saturday 8th July, as charismatic frontman Van McCann revealed his own love for the city on album track Glasgow, which fans will be hoping to hear this July.
Indie figureheads, Belle & Sebastian, bring their critically acclaimed back catalogue to Glasgow Green to join Radiohead on Friday 7th July. Emerging in the late nineties, part of the band’s appeal was their apparent obliviousness to fame, which they were thrust into in 1998 with the release of The Boy with the Arab Strap and their 1999 Best Newcomers Brit Award win. Their ability to share their affinity for culture in songs written almost personally to their fans is how they’ve become lovingly imprinted into the music industry today.
Artists also announced today, London Grammar, George Ezra, Two Door Cinema Club, Twin Atlantic, The Kooks, Blossoms, Rag‘n’Bone Man and Circa Waves, have amassed a number of award wins and nominations throughout their careers, from London Grammar’s Ivor Novello win in 2014 to Rag‘n’Bone Man’s Brits Critics' Choice Awards in 2017. The musical talent on offer at TRNSMT, led by Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro, is the best of the best, the cream of the crop; from your new favourite to most-played artist, the line-up is yours to enjoy thanks to flexible early bird ticket packages.
TRNSMT willoffer entertainment over two stages – with a line-up that will highlight talent across the musical spectrum, from the most influential band in fans’ lifetime to their favourite new, under the radar artist on the King Tut’s Stage – powered by Utilita. Fans will enjoy music, arts, culture, bars and restaurants as they customise their individual festival experience across the 3 days.
Absolute giants of the scene, Knife Party have bulldozed through the dance music landscape with relative ease in the last few years. Consisted of two members of the iconic group Pendulum, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen have put their touch of genius to this hugely successful project. Since their inception in 2011, the domineering duo have been a mainstay on the top of huge festival line ups and have sold out the most prestigious venues across the globe, most notably a huge sell out show at the 02 Academy Brixton last Halloween. Their explosive and high-octane sound have made them favourites in all corners of the globe with fans eagerly anticipating the pair’s return wherever they go! We are absolutely thrilled to welcome one of the most influential acts in dance music right to Clapham Common, for 14th installment of South West Four.

Check out their ‘Death In General’ video, taken from 2015’s ‘The Ride Majestic’ album here – https://youtu.be/kme-sxY2pAQ.

Following the success showcasing some of the best new talent around in 2016, THE YAMAHA MUSIC STAGE in the main arena at C2C will be back with six standout acoustic artists performing over the weekend in-between the main stage acts. Last year’s acts included Charles Esten from the “Nashville” TV series, Ashley Monroe, Maren Morris, Striking Matches and Frankie Ballard on the massively popular stage.

FRIDAY MARCH 10
CHASE BRYANT This 23-year old is a multi-talented Texan singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer who has a strong musical heritage. Chase’s grandfather played piano in Roy Orbison’s first two bands and later for Waylon Jennings. His uncles co-founded the popular group Ricochet, which had several hits in the ’90s. “From the time I was a kid, the only thing I wanted to do was play music,” he says. Because of the Orbison connection, someone suggested a meeting with Roy’s widow, the late Barbara Orbison, a prominent Nashville publisher, who signed Bryant on the spot. That road led Bryant to BBR Music Group imprint Red Bow Records, to whom he’s signed. In early 2017 he’s been touring with Brad Paisley and enjoying the success of his new EP, Chase Bryant.
SATURDAY MARCH 11
CASSADEE POPE From West Palm Beach, Florida and the first female winner of “The Voice” on American TV, Cassadee hit the ground running with her solo debut, the Frame By Frame EP, which featured “Wasting All Those Years” a track which sold a million downloads and was highlighted by her soaring vocals and an unwavering energy. She had her first number 1 single with “Think Of You”, a duet with Chris Young which led to her first Grammy nod nod in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance and was previously nominated Musical Event of the Year at the CMA Awards. Amplifying the impressive accolades, Cassadee and Chris continued to collaborate with extended dates on the “I’m Comin’ Home Tour” throughout 2016. Recently, Pope released her Summer EP which was produced by Corey Crowder who co-wrote “Think Of You”. Her busy touring schedule has included dates with Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts.
SETH ENNIS Arista Nashville singer/songwriter, Seth Ennis, is poised for a breakout in 2017, with early nods as a star on the rise following being named as one of SiriusXM’s “Future Five” and an artist to watch by CMT, Pandora, The Huffington Post, Rolling Stone Country and a CMT “Listen Up Artist.” The 24 year-old multi-instrumentalist, co-wrote, co-produced and played all parts on the recorded version of his debut single, “Woke Up In Nashville.” The Georgia native was recently announced to join Country Music superstars Florida Georgia Line on their 2017 Dig Your Roots Tour for dates spanning from February to April, but will take a break to make his UK debut at C2C in March 2017.
One more artist is TBC
SUNDAY MARCH 12
JANA KRAMER The multi-talented Jana Kramer (who has already been announced for a C2C After Show) is an actor who played Alex Dupre on the television series One Tree Hill, was a recent finalist on the American TV show Dancing with the Stars and is one of country music’s brightest new stars and a successful singer/songwriter. Named one of this year’s “Next Women of Country” by CMT, Kramer co-wrote more than half of the tracks on her second album, thirty one on Elektra Nashville, which features her smash hit, gold-certified single, “I Got The Boy.” Kramer’s singing career kicked off with the release of her self-titled debut album in 2012, which featured the platinum-selling “Why Ya Wanna”. She earned the ACM’s New Female Vocalist of the Year award and the distinction of being country radio’s most-played debut artist of the year.
LUCIE SILVAS Born in the UK but raised in part in New Zealand by her Kiwi dad and Scottish mother, Lucie started playing piano and songwriting at 10 but wasn’t exposed to the music industry until she started singing back-up on tour with the British singer Judie Tzuke. She was then signed to Mercury Records and released two pop records, selling over a million albums in Europe. The next chapter of her life saw her packing her bags and moving to Nashville where she was soon writing and performing with some US artists and musicians. She’s recently released a self-financed album called Letters To Ghosts featuring some of Nashville finest musicians and with the title track winning strong radio airplay.
DRAKE WHITE The critically acclaimed Drake White (who has already been announced for a C2C After Show) has been called,”One of the country’s most energizing performers”, by Rolling Stone Country. He’s a rapidly rising new star who released his acclaimed debut album, Spark on Dot Records, in the summer of 2016. The foot-stomping singer/songwriter and nature enthusiast co-wrote 10 of the tracks and the cover tells the visual story of who Drake White is as an artist, husband and native-Alabamian. The images imprinted into his silhouette paint a narrative of White’s life, including his wife Alex, his hometown church (where his grandfather served as preacher), his dog Writer and other mementos that inspired the record. White has been touring as opening act on Zac Brown Band’s Black Out The Sun tour in addition to his own headline dates.
