A limited number of Early Bird tickets will be released on Thursday 15th November at 9am. Last year’s Early Bird tickets were snapped up in under 10 minutes so early booking is advisable. The festival itself sold out a remarkable 7 weeks in advance and the festival has sold out in each of the previous 7 years. The next batch of tickets for the festival will be on sale in early 2013.

After the success of Kendal Calling's Real Ale Festival at the festival itself over the past four years From The Fields online shop will open and will be stocking its very own ales Kend'ale and Oh Deer, as well as Elbow's Build A Rocket Boys. Last year’s Kendal Calling featured Dizzee Rascal, James, Maximo Park, Andy C, Shy FX, Zinc, Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip, We Are Scientists, Lucy Rose, Toy and over 250 artists across 14 stages and arenas. New highlights from last year’s programme included:

New Woodlands area featuring an eclectic mix of nu-folk and electronica, with a Silent Disco from 11pm – 1am every night.
Tim Peaks Diner – Tim Burgess' virtual diner became a reality for the first time with an American style diner complete with juke box in the fields. The diner served up Tim Peaks coffee & Totes Amazeballs cereal, plus a music, workshop and Q&A line-up curated by Tim Burgess. Highlights included a performance from Edwyn Collins, Nick Heywood, Roddy Frame and Tim Burgess of ' A Girl Like You' and a surprise acoustic set from The View.
Introduction of Chai Wallahs to the Kaylied area of the festival.
The Deer Lodge was introduced with affordable Luxury camping featuring bell tents & tipis without the heavy price tag!

Swedish House Mafia extend One Last Tour to Australia

Strictly limited to one night only, ‘One Last Tour’ promises to deliver Aussie fans one last huge send off, packed with the the trio’s most popular tracks including their latest smash hit and undoubtedly the biggest track in Australia (if not the world) right now: ‘Don’t You Worry Child.’ DYWC has surpassed Platinum sales in Aus, currently sitting at #2 on the ARIA Singles Chart (with #1 firmly in sight) and held the #1 spot on the ARIA Club Chart for over nine weeks straight). Volbeat added to Rock Werchter 2013 lineup!

It has already been announced that Blur, Depeche Mode, Editors, Green Day, Kings of Leon and Rammstein will play at Rock Werchter 2013, which takes place from Thursday 4 July to Sunday 7 July. More names are to follow.

Volbeat is Metal's hottest. The Danes – an abbreviation of Volume.Beat – are the new gods in the land of Metallica and Motörhead. They were last year's big revelation at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium. In 2010 and 2011 they performed to a packed Lotto Arena in Antwerp. This, their first performance at Rock Werchter, is just the logical next step. Volbeat is ready for the transition to a broader audience. And that broader audience is as good as won over. For instance: the group is just as high on Studio Brussel's 'De Zwaarste Lijst' (annual best of metal list) as it is in 'De Afrekening' (weekly charts from the listeners). And the reason is simple: the music. Volbeat think on a broader scale. The leaning is to metal, but these Danes like to digress. Toward punk. Toward rockabilly too. Heroes include Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, and they cover "I Only Want To Be With You" by the late Dusty Springfield, the "white queen of soul". Catchy, energetic and refreshingly Scandinavian!

Rock Werchter 2013 will be held from Thursday 4 July to Sunday 7 July in Werchter (Belgium). For four whole days the very best can be seen and heard on three stages in the Festivalpark. Established artists, today's and yesterday's heroes and the big sensations take to the Main Stage as usual. The Pyramid Marquee hosts all flavours of electronic dance on Thursday and Friday. And then it's the upcoming talent, the more intimate performances and dance beats into the small hours on Saturday and Sunday. In the Barn, it will be nice to see old friends, but discover tomorrow's heroes. It's a sort of in-festival concert hall. Rock Werchter books acts from every musical genre. And it goes down well. The festival is an international hit. At Eurosonic in Groningen, Rock Werchter scooped the European Festival Award for "Best European Festival Line-Up". More than 140,000 (unique) festival goers from all around the world found their way to a sold-out Rock Werchter over the four days of the festival in 2012.

Queens of the Stone Age and more announced for Download Festival 2013

Organisers are pleased to announce that Queens of the Stone Age are confirmed to make their Download Festival debut, marking the band’s first UK date to be announced for 2013. 30 Seconds to Mars are back for the third time to treat audiences to hits such as ‘Kings and Queens’, ‘This Is War’, ‘Closer To The Edge’ and ‘The Kill (Bury Me)’, and Gaslight Anthem, who played in 2011 and recently sold out Brixton Academy establishing themselves as one of the foremost contemporary rock bands, are also confirmed.

Returning to thrash out for the fourth time at Download Festival are Motorhead. In 2010 Lemmy and the gang were joined on stage by Slash creating a mosh of thousands to punk-fused metal classics ‘Stay Clean’, ‘Killed By Death’, ‘Overkill’ and ‘Ace of Spades’. Finnish rockers HIM are also confirmed playing hits spanning their 20 year career. The band have just released celebratory compilation Two Decades of Love Metal which includes all of their greatest hits and brand new track ‘Strange World’. Seattle alt-rockers Alice in Chains will be performing for the second time in Donington Park, while US rockers A Day To Remember will make their third appearance.

Fridays Main Stage will be headlined by Sheffields incendiary Reverend and the Makers. Also on the bill are Scottish folk singer Karine Polwart, Derbys very own indie chart toppers The Beekeepers playing a rare show, and fellow localsLife & Times of Brothers Hogg.

Two more bands for the Friday main stage line-up will be released in December

Saturdays billing is topped by the legendary Asian Dub Foundation. Joining them on bill is celebrated folk singer Seth Lakeman, reggae legend Macka B, classic rockers Quireboys, heavily requested punksters Citizen Fish, up & coming folk band AHAB and BT favourites Zombie Met Girl. One more band will be announced to complete the Saturday billing.

It will come as no great surprise to announce that Levellers will be headlining on Sunday after their late cancellation this year due to a fiddlers finger injury. Levellers will close the festival in style on the Sunday night and are joined on the bill Liverpudlians The Farm who will be performing a greatest hits set, BT favourites Goldblade, acclaimed folk rock band Ezio, the heavily requested New Groove Formation. Three more acts will be announced in December to conclude Sundays festivities.

Tornado Town is the festivals 2nd stage, and much of their line up has now been confirmed. Highlights include cult Punk band, Far Cue, Maroon Town, Buster Shuffle, 18 Nightmares at the Lux, Left Step Band, Port Erin, The Membranes, Boot Hill All Stars, Sunday Driver
The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing and adrenaline filled rock n roll band Pusycat & Dirty Johnsons.

The Magical Sounds Dance Stage will once again be pumping out the heavy beats and they have produced another stunning line up in their now famous big top. Magical Sounds will be releasing their acts shortly.

Bearded Theory has also confirmed details of a number of exciting changes for 2013. These include a new late night Cabaret Tent located in the expanded Camping area, a new location and PA for The Waters Edge acoustic stage,

Of course, as an award winning Family Friendly Festival, the huge Angel Gardens kids area will once again return, bigger and better than ever. They will also be an even better family camping zone (with picnic tables for family evening meals), alongside a major investment in site art and the festivals green spaces.

After hugely successful debut in 2013, Thornbridge Brewery in Bakwell, (located just 20 miles from the festival), will once again be run the on-site bars, bringing with them a wide selection of Ales and Ciders

Depeche Mode first headliner announced for Bilbao BBK Live 2013

Depeche Mode, who have spent much of this year working on their anticipated 13th studio album due for release in Spring, will tour across Europe next summer, playing 34 shows in 25 European countries. These will be the band’s first live shows since their highly successful 2009/2010 Tour of the Universe during which they played 142 shows, including a headline slot at Bilbao BBK Live festival.

Depeche Mode set for Rock Werchter 2013

Depeche Mode is undoubtedly the most popular electronic band ever …and the first to be embraced by rock fans. But they have worked hard for it. Their first appearance at Werchter in 1985 did not pass unnoticed. Twenty years later (2006) and the band was by far the best at Werchter. ‘Violator’ (1990) was the pivotal moment. An essential album produced by Flood (U2, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey) and featuring artwork and video clips by the Dutch photographer/filmmaker Anton Corbijn. The scope of their musical fan base is uncommonly wide: from Daan through Pet Shop Boys to The Killers and Linkin Park to Rammstein. Depeche Mode, in the shape of Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher, have now sold more than 100 million albums. The trio is among the most successful live acts of all time. Last year, Depeche Mode worked on their 13th album, the successor to the wicked ‘Sounds of the Universe’ (2009), which is due for release in the spring.
