Nozstock is thrilled to reveal a very special headliner for this summer: NY-based Wu-Tang Clan, who not only proved to be the most revolutionary rap group of the mid-'90s but are arguably the greatest ever hip-hop group of all time. Individually its family of members are all lyrical stars, including RZA, Ghostface Killa, GZA and Method Man, and together they are a thrilling, provocative and wild stage presence. Last year’s Once Upon A Time In Shaolin album, which only had one physical copy, further illustrated their continual reinvention. Wu Tang Clan are taking Nozstock to a different level in July.
The festival is also very proud to announce true Motown sensation Martha Reeves and the Vandellas as one of the headliners on the Orchard Stage. They have charted over 26 hits, ten Billboard R&B singles chart Top Ten hits and two Number Ones, and their classic ‘Dancing in the Street’ entered the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. True veterans of soul, they headline a bill that focuses on top talent across multiple genres.
Across the weekend trail-blazing hip-hop, bass music, grime, dubstep and raucous beats come from a brilliantly diverse range of DJ and live acts. Dr Syntax and Pete Cannon have produced for Action Bronson and Punchtown, whilst the Dead Players trio of Jam Baxta, Dabbla and Ghost Town are the chameleons of rhyme. They are joined by Ruffnek Diskotek w/Dub Boy, Dutty Inspectors and Ghost Writerz, Mr Woodnote & Eva Lazarus, Smokey Joe and The Kid, Gypsy Hill, Solko, Sounds of Harlowe, Octo Pi & Koncept, Scope, Modify Perspective, Remidy M.C and Trafic M.C and many more to be announced.

This summer Ibiza Rocks will celebrate ten incredible and hugely influential years on the White Isle with a line up that brings together festival giants, music icons and the very best of the new breed of rising stars. New additions include Rudimental, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Spandau Ballet who will proudly return to play Ibiza for the first time since 1981 when they pioneered an electronic music revolution. Supports come from hotly tipped new talents Shura, Slaves, Krept & Konan, Blonde, Karen Harding and Sam Sure.
Since playing Rocks in support of Jake Bugg last summer, Llandudno lads Catfish & the Bottlemen have gone on to win the BBC Introducing Award at the very first BBC Music Awards, released their debut album ‘The Balcony’ to mass critical acclaim and chalked up a sold out tour in the US. Currently carving their way through their second sold out headline tour of the UK, the band also announced two Brixton Academy shows for November, which sold out in 6 minutes. Widely hailed as Britains next great guitar band Catfish & the Bottlemen will make a heroic return to the famous poolside Rocks stage as headliners on 15th July, for one of the most highly anticipated live shows in the Balearics.
Another sensational live act returning to the world-famous Rocks stage this summer is Best Album BRIT Award winners Rudimental. Rocks championed Rudimental long before they hit the big time and booked their debut Ibiza show in 2012 at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel where they stayed, partied and played, big time! It will be a proud moment to have these boys back to headline on 29th July, for what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the 14 week long season from one of the best live acts on the planet right now.
Rudimental said:“We can’t wait to come back. Ibiza Rocks is a lovely story for us, we saw Dizzee Rascal at Ibiza Rocks when on holiday there and then a year later Feel The Love happened and we DJ'd with Disclosure and Zane Lowe and then played live last year which was one of the best nights of our summer. There’s such history there for us. It’s always such a good vibe and the idea to do a party in a hotel is just brilliant. As soon as we finish a gig at Ibiza Rocks, we just want to get in the crowd and party with everyone. We’re part of that culture so we want to rave as well. Ibiza Rocks, we love you. Rudimental are coming for you!!"
Hot on the heels of announcing The Libertines to headline Ibiza Rocks 10th Birthday Party in July, another truly iconic British band that provided the soundtrack to a generation are reunited and ready to return to Ibiza. Spandau Ballet have sold over 25 million records and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since the late 70s. From fully-fledged members of the iconic Blitz Club scene to one of the super-groups of the 80s, the band spearheaded the New Romantic pop culture movement born out of the nightclub scene. One of the most significant gigs of Spandau Ballet’s career was in 1981 at Ibiza’s very own Ku Club (now Privilege), chosen by the band simply because it was billed as the most outrageous club in the world.
Unlike any band before them, Spandau completely understood the currency of the dancefloor and the significance of playing in Ibiza at a time when the clubs were purely packed with Spanish hipsters completely unaware of the London fashionistas about to blow their minds and make their mark, both culturally and musically. This groundbreaking trip bridged the gap between the Ibiza and London club scenes and Spandau Ballet opened Ibiza’s doors to a UK audience with one incredible, inspirational and influential gig that was to change Ibiza’s music landscape forever. After more than 30 years since that monumental moment, Ibiza Rocks is proud to bring Spandau Ballet back to the Balearics for a very special headline show under the stars on 19th August.
Gary Kemp, Spandau Ballet said:"Back in 1981 Spandau were playing one off events at the hottest clubs across the world from New York to St Tropez to the Beat Route in London and The Ku Club had a reputation for being pretty outrageous, in fact the night before we played we went to the club and someone released a bull onto the dancefloor which ended up in the swimming pool. We took over some of our London friends, before us no British people went to these clubs and that was when the conversation between the two nightlife’s began and Ibiza club culture was born. We're really looking forward to going back and playing Ibiza Rocks"
As well as welcoming festival headliners and music icons, Rocks has a rich history of spotting and supporting the best new talent on the circuit. One of the most genuinely exciting bands that fit that bill are acclaimed punk duo Slaves who will support The Libertines at the hugely anticipated 10th Birthday Party. Bristol duo Blonde, who already boast a No.7 hit single with ‘I Loved You’ will be the very first act of the summer to take to the stage, supporting Years & Years at the Opening Party. MTV Brand New 2015 ‘Best Newcomer‘ winners Krept & Konan will support Sigma whilst Black Butter Records’ bonafide ‘one to watch’ Sam Sure will support Rudimental. Karen Harding may be a fresh face on the scene but has already scored a Top 10 single with her MNEK-produced ‘Say Something.’ Karen will support Clean Bandit this summer whist fellow fast-rising female singer/producer and BBC Sound of 2015 nominee Shura will support Jungle. Future stars, live under the stars.

With, unbelievably, less than two months to go until Download 2015, the finishing touches are being added to this year’s masterpiece of a line-up, and today sees twenty five more flashes of colour streaking the tableau of Europe’s biggest rock and metal festival.
Seminal post hardcore megaliths Funeral For A Friend make a first appearance in four years following the release of January’s enormous record Chapter and Verse.
Singer Matthew Davies-Kreye said: Download is a festival very close to our hearts and we're thrilled to have been invited back this year alongside some amazing bands.
Alaskan metalcore steamroller 36 Crazyfists are also basking in the glory of a huge new album, February’sTime and Trauma and will join FFAF in taking their place on the mainstage.
A long lost friend will also return as, amid reports that a new album is in the works, heavy metal titansCorrosion of Conformity, freshly reunited with vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan, come to Donington for the first time in twenty years having played Monsters of Rock in 1995, while a new friend arrives in the form of legendary Liverpudlian metallers Carcass give Download a first ever fistful of their mastery of every extreme genre from goregrind to melodic death metal.
For Carcass the appearance is the fulfilment of a long-held dream: Well, after years of badgering Andy Copping he has finally broken and agreed to let us despoil Download! We’re genuinely excited to finally get to play Castle Donington after all these years – maybe this time without rolling Landrovers and cracking shoulder bones on the journey there (a LONG story!). We hope to see some of you at a loose end, with no one better to watch at CARCASS’ ONLY UK festival appearance this Summer!
Corrosion of Conformity’s prodigal son Pepper Keenan was similarly excited about making along-awaited return: Super stoked about getting back to download with COC, always an honour. It's been waaaaay to long. Up the f***in hammers!
Another band to have a huge influence over their genre are pop-punk giants Yellowcard who make their first Download appearance when they headline the third stage on Sunday night.
One of the most distinctive and angry voices of their (or any) generation, crossover thrash frontiersmenSuicidal Tendencies play Download for the first time in five years following a(nother) hiatus and reunion, headlining the fourth stage on Sunday night.
Also making a long awaited return, having not played since 2009 are Gothic-ambient-alt metal sirensLacuna Coil, playing the main stage on Friday afternoon.
Elsewhere, homegrown supergroup Krokodil take their composite members’ most brutal musical sensibilities and crush them into some of the most soulsplittingly raucous groove metal on the scene, while another supergroup, this time from across the pond, Antemasque, features former members of The Mars Volta and At The Drive-In, blending the prog, funk and punk rock for which their progenitors were renowned to tumultuous effect.
Krokodil looked forward to returning to the site of one of their early triumphs: It's going to be so good to be back where it all began for us, so much has happened since our first show at Download 2013. Now the record’s out, it only seems right to be back there tearing sh*t up again with full f****ng force! Download, we're coming for you.
Canadian stadium rockers Three Days Grace will also (surprise!) join the line-up, while Reading thrash merchants Malefice will return following the planned release of a brand new E.P in May, and fellow homegrown axe-wielders The Wild Lies will provide a straight-up shot of pure undiluted classic hard rock.
Sharp dressed Texas deathcore desperados Upon A Burning Body will return to Donington having been denied their Download appearance last year when singer Danny Leal was taken ill at the last minute. But will they join recent collaborator Ice-T on the bill for their recent Pop Goes Pnk smash, Turn Down For What? we hear you ask…
Leal looked forward to regaining his birthright: DOWNLOAD! We are excited to be on this year’s line-up. Having to cancel last year was so upsetting for us and we do apologize. We are pumped and ready to come see all of you guys and completely make up for last year. Come say hello and let's crush this year!
Another act who had to had to pull out of their 2014 performance but return in 2015 is September Mourning, the alternative rock sect of the eponymous transmedia Gothic culture project, who take to Donington for the first time ahead of the release of their debut album.
If all that doesn’t dust your fretboard, Finnish folk-prog goliaths Von Hertzen Brothers will also set off on their maiden Donington expedition following the release of epic album, New Day Rising in March.
Also gracing Donington for the first time will be Brighton hard rock-breakbeats crossover maniacs TheQemists fresh from the release of their new album Warrior Sound, whose fellow Brightonians, classic rockers Colour of Noise make their debut ahead of the release of their eponymous debut album in September, while Londoners LTNT are another act embarking on a first tour of duty.
Swedish-American banditos Blues Pills combine smoky blues with thunderous hard rock powered by singer Elin Larsson’s incredible vocals, while surf/skate punks Fidlar are another act due to make their Download debut this year, as are homegrown dub-rave-punk experimentalists Get Hot.
Chunk, No, Captain Chunk! the French ‘easycore’ exports, will also make their first appearance, while fellow pop punk debutantes and Kerrang! Best Newcomer Award nominees E of E will be making the comparatively short trip from Dudley.
Coming from an even shorter distance are anthemic Derby rockers The Struts bringing with them a whole sackful of soaring choruses.
Blowing in from New Zealand to join compatriots Rival State on the bill come Like A Storm, who, as well as gaining a string of admirers for their mix of Spaghetti-Western swagger and hard rock steel, are one of the few rock bands to fully realise the awesome seismic power of the didgeridoo.
Country rockers The Cadillac Three are yet another newcomer, adding a touch of Nashville honky-tonk vibrancy to the cascade of rock anthems.
Arguably the easiest listening of the weekend (or hardest depending on your tastes) will come in the form of vocal harmonists The Lounge Kittens whose twist on rock and metal classic has earned them opening spots for Limp Bizkit and Steel Panther among others.
These incredible acts will join a pantheon of rock and metal gods at Download, including headlinersSlipknot, Muse and Kiss, main support Judas Priest, Faith No More and Mötley Crüe, and such other musical giants as Marilyn Manson, Slash, Enter Shikari, Black Stone Cherry and A Day To Remember.

* JUST ANNOUNCED
Having signed to Spinnin’ Records aged just seventeen, Oliver Heldens is the name that’s been on the tip of everyone’s tongue over the past eighteen months. Recognised for his unique adaption of house and electro sounds, Oliver has enjoyed unprecedented success following the release of ‘Gecko’ (which reached #1 in the UK singles chart), ‘Koala’ and ‘You Know’, featuring Zed’s Dead. Having just released his next summer anthem ‘Melody’ and with ‘Bunny Dance’ receiving support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, there is no doubt that Oliver Heldens joins us at the very top of his game when he returns to South West Four this summer.
Producer, remixer, DJ and Rinse FM host Chris Lorenzo has spent the past twelve months establishing himself as one of the UK’s finest electronic assets. Also known as one half of Cause & Affect, Lorenzo’s reputation has increased ten-fold thanks to the standout release of ‘Rhymes’ alongside SW4 artist Hannah Wants, in addition to releases on Dirtybird and Food Music. After recently signing to Ultra following remixes of My Nu Leng on Black Butter and Disclosure on PMR, Chris is one of the hottest producers around right now and one we cannot wait to showcase at South West Four on Sunday 30th August for the very first time.
After exploding onto the UK circuit with the heavily supported ‘Bassline’, Bristol-based duo GotSome have produced some of the most exciting tracks to emerge over the past year. Their latest production sees the pair explore different sounds by teaming up with Wiley on ‘Vibe Out’. Signed to Defected and Chase & Status’ MTA Records respectively, GotSome’s spectrum of sound appears to be endless. The recent release of their quintessential summer record, ‘Just A Feeling’, featuring remixes from Sonny Fodera, Franky Rizardo and Phil Weeks is also evidence of their superb talents. SW4 watch out, GotSome are officially on route.
Another act that we’ve kept a firm ear on in recent months is London based duo Tough Love. Made up of Alex and Stef, their weekly residency on Kiss FM and plethora of hugely popular productions make them two of the most inspiring artists around. Most noticeably the release of ‘So Freakin Tight’ has gone on to receive unconditional support from BBC Radio 1 and beyond, as has their ‘In the Name of Love’ with S-Man aka the legendary Roger Sanchez. After choosing SW4 for their only London festival performance of the year, we welcome these rising stars as they are handed their hugely anticipated debut.
Having burst onto the scene in 2013, UK star Josh Butler first found success with his debut release ‘Got a Feeling’ on MTA Records. Since then, Josh has leapt from strength to strength with countless dates across Europe including several for Sankeys Ibiza’s Tribal Sessions and Magna Carta parties. Production wise Josh continues to defy the masses with an impressive catalogue of bass heavy sounds, as well as teaming up with fellow UK producer Bontan. Their hugely successful ‘Be True’ tour recently culminated with a headline performance at London’s Ministry of Sound. To say we’re excited to bring Josh Butler to SW4 would be a serious understatement. In fact we can’t wait.

Soon to be taking the stage at benicassim in 2015 is the newly configured FFS, and by that I don’t mean for fucks sake! A seemingly different pairing, Franz Ferdinand and Sparks have united to create a sort-of super group, and to top it off a collective album produced by non other than John Congleton. Ron Mael (Sparks’ keyboardist) has said the album sounds like ‘the wreckage of a train crash between the bands’. Woah, well if that’s anything to go by we’re sure their set won’t be anything less than mind blowing, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
But that’s not the only wonders Benicassim has to offer, with it’s coming of age this year and to celebrate the big 2-1 they’ve added some amazing bands to the bill. Headliners include britpop legends Blur and drum and bass kings The Prodigy, plus with new acts just announced theres something for everyone who wants to have fun in the sun.
On the cusp of releasing his 6th studio album Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls promises to wow us all, there’s monumental post-rock from Godspeed You! Black Emperor, raucous rock ’n’ roll from The Cribs, epic Muse-like soundscapes from Spain’s Vetusta Morla, Reverend & The Makers bring their great street songs. There’s going to be huge techno sessions from Tiga and Evan Baggs and a dash of French house from Madeon. Exciting young pups Palma Violets and Swim Deep join the bill too, whilst representing Ireland are The Riptide Movement, Hamsandwich, and Gavin James.
All these and more added to a bill that already includes the massive names above as well as Crystal Fighters, Jamie T, Kaiser Chiefs, Mark Ronson, Public Enemy, Stromae and that’s not even the half of it yet. With a few more names to be added to the bill, this is sure to be a week not to forget.
