Elsewhere the soulful desert blues of Mali band Songhoy Blues, the feel-good harmonies of The Magic Numbers and the energetic 8-piece experience of Gentleman’s Dub Club continue the eclectic line-up. Adding a healthy dose of Welsh-wit and nostalgia, Goldie Lookin Chain and The Bug Club bring a unique flair to the program. For fans of viral sea shanties – and there’s evidently plenty of them – Fisherman’s Friends have you covered as leaders of the TikTok-driven revival of this glorious age-old musical tradition. Wychwood’s centre of amusement, Howlin’ Pete’s, will once again host an array of fun and lighthearted moments, featuring tribute sensations The Smyths, TV and karaoke legend Barrioke, and the Beatles Dub Club. Additional highlights include sets from The Ogretones – the Shrek Tribute Band that has to be seen to be believed, Witney Social Club, and Temps Rising founder DJ Carlton, ensuring a good time for all. Beyond the music, Wychwood delivers a program brimming with family-friendly activities, arts, and comedy. Fitness personality Joe Wicks will lead a live P.E. session, while the Village Green offers everything from Circus Skills and Magic Workshops to Yoga, Drumming, and the vibrant Sunday Parade. Families can also explore the Storybox Kids’ Literature Festival, unwind in the Healing Gardens or lose those inhibitions into the early hours at the Silent Disco. With idyllic camping beneath the Prestbury Hills, sensational food and drink, and free entry for children under 10, Wychwood Festival remains a firm favourite for all ages. Graeme Merifield, Wychwood Festival Co-Founder, said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to unveil next summer’s lineup today! The response to James as our first headliner last month was phenomenal, so we wanted to spread a little early holiday cheer by sharing the rest of our headliners, and more, much earlier than we usually do. Bringing Shed Seven to Cheltenham after their historic run with two number-one albums, and welcoming Doves during their exciting comeback year, has my heart pounding already! But it’s not just about chart hits at Wychwood, we’re also bringing HIITs in 2025… We’re absolutely delighted to have booked in a P.E. session on the main stage with Joe Wicks! This year’s Wychwood lineup is shaping up to be something truly special for the whole family.” With even more to be revealed over the coming months, Wychwood Festival is renowned for presenting diverse musical lineups, alongside a perfect combination of comedy, arts, 100s of family-friendly activities, and sensational food and drink. Drawing growing audiences of all ages from around the UK and following a fantastic show this year headlined by Sister Sledge, Texas and Ocean Colour Scene, anticipation runs high for the 2025 edition. D-Edge Rio Celebrates 1 Year and Establishes Itself as One of Latin America’s Leading Clubs
With a history spanning over two decades in the electronic music scene, D-Edge, originally based in São Paulo, brought its iconic brand to Rio de Janeiro. Located in the Port Zone, in a retrofitted early 20th-century building on the Olympic Boulevard, the cultural complex led by visionary DJ and entrepreneur Renato Ratier blends music, art, fashion, design, and gastronomy across four floors of pure innovation.
Art, Music, and Innovation: The Soul of D-Edge Rio
With a prime location and a modern, laid-back structure, D-Edge Rio has already established itself as a stage for major names in global electronic music, including Charlotte De Witte, Pete Tong, Traumer, Gerd Janson, Gui Boratto, Âme Live, DJ Tennis, and, of course, Ratier himself. In addition to renowned artists, the club also provides a platform for local talent and emerging DJs, reaffirming its commitment to revitalizing the scene.
More Than Music: A Complete Cultural Experience
Since its inauguration in November 2023, D-Edge Rio has stood out for offering more than dance floors. Within its 2,500 square meters, the Rio-based club has become a cultural hub.
At the heart of the venue is Cosmos, a contemporary art gallery showcasing artistic installations, paintings, sculptures, and photographs that ignite visitors’ creativity. Meanwhile, the Ratier Store combines urban fashion and music, featuring exclusive pieces and a special selection of vinyl records.
Later this year, a contemporary industrial-style restaurant is set to open, further expanding the space’s cultural offerings.
The Main Floor: A Showcase of Technology and Sensations
The centerpiece of D-Edge Rio is its main dance floor, located on the fourth floor and designed by renowned architect Muti Randolph, who also designed the São Paulo venue. By combining sound, lighting, and ambiance, the dance floor elevates the audience’s experience to a whole new level.
The exclusive sound system, developed in partnership with KW Audio, is considered one of the most sophisticated in the world. For the curious, there’s even a secret VIP booth for a more intimate experience with the DJs.
Sunsets and the Guanabara Bay View
The rooftop of D-Edge Rio is a spectacle on its own. Boasting breathtaking views of Guanabara Bay, the space transforms into an open-air dance floor during sunset events, creating unforgettable moments for attendees.
Far Beyond the Night: Culture and Social Impact
D-Edge Rio is not just a mega club but also a center for cultural discussions and reflections. Its programming includes exhibitions, lectures, and panels on topics such as inclusion, sustainability, the music market, fashion, and design, reaffirming its importance as a transformative force in Rio’s and Latin America’s culture.
One Year of Achievements, A Promising Future
With its visionary and multidisciplinary approach, D-Edge Rio has established itself as one of Brazil’s greatest cultural landmarks in just one year. It is a space where music and art meet innovation and purpose, redefining what it means to live culture in its most vibrant and impactful form.
The future promises to be even grander. Get ready for new stories, unforgettable experiences, and moments that will transform the cultural and electronic scene. Because D-Edge Rio is not just a club; it is a movement that transcends generations.
