Kelis to headline BSTK 2016

‘Milkshake’ star Kelis is now confirmed as BSTK 2016’s third main stage headliner for the party set to rock the weekend of 8th to 10th July in the Essex countryside. The NYC soulstress will perform alongside Tinie Tempah, Annie Mac and Mark Ronson as well as new additions including Dusky, Heidi and many more. BRIT Award winner Kelis completes the billing atop BSTK’s main stage for summer 2016. The ever-stylish singer, brimming with talent boasts hits including ‘Acapella’, ‘Millionaire’ and more sure to keep the party bouncing come July. Electronic duo Dusky and house/techno DJ Heidi are amongst the names joining the already hefty dance music offering. Meanwhile BSTK is getting a special collaboration when Cuban Boys join forces with hip hop duo Jungle Brothers. Elsewhere on the main stage BSTK welcomes a generous handful of young, up and coming talent in the form of Imani, Zak Abel, Reeps One and Lucie Closier

Tinie Tempah, Netsky and more added to BSTK 2016

Essex’s ultimate dance, pop and urban music party, BSTK, today confirms chart-topper Tinie Tempah, drum & bass producer Netsky and Brit dubstep duo Delta Heavy as the latest additions to the line-up spanning the weekend of 8th-10th July. Also heading to fields of Morris Farm this summer are a host of local talents who’ll rock the Treehouse stage, including Jordan Gray who appeared on this year’s The Voice. As previously announced BSTK’s line-up also features Annie Mac, Mark Ronson, Katy B and many more. Weekend tickets priced at only £89 are available now from BSTK.co.uk.

The second of BSTK’s mainstage headliners is now confirmed as Tinie Tempah, the rapper known and loved for hits including the UK number one singles ‘Pass Out’, ‘Written In The Stars’ and ‘Not Letting Go’. With MOBO, Brit and Ivor Novello awards under his belt the singer, songwriter and record producer (not to mention record and fashion label founder) will be a highlight for many ravers in the BSTK fields come July. Also joining the bill will be Netsky, offering up punters a set of his energetic ‘liquid funk’ sounds. Dubbed ‘drum & bass superstars’ by DJ Mag, the RAM Records’ duo Delta Heavy head to BSTK armed with tracks from their album Paradise Lost released only days ago.  

Elsewhere at the festival sights are set to a host of local talent primed to take over BSTK’s Treehouse stage. Covering everything from trip-hop to prog via electro will be Jordan Gray (Tall Dark Friend), Arcaves, Grizzly Bears, Crème de Chèvre, Asylums, Mullally, Drama Lamas, Mandeville, Scarlet Echo, Lemoncurd kid, Emma Lauran, Cassia and Rob Jones. 
 

Brownstock Festival add new artists to 2015 lineup

Beardyman, aka Danny Foreman, leads the charge for the latest additions to Brownstock Festival. UK Beatbox Champion in 2006 and 2007, Beardyman offers up a cocktail of drum n’ bass, dubstep and breakbeat in his sets using his mimic vocal chords and an array of tech. Considered one of the most innovative beatboxers, not just in the UK but beyond, Beardyman has torn up stages across Europe and has wowed crowds at festivals, his own shows and Edinburgh Fringe.
 
T Williams’ musical career began at just 17 years old when he began to make waves in the grime and bass world, fast forward to the present day and Williams has undergone something of a reinvention through his new found love of house music. Williams’ rejuvenated sound saw him named as one the ‘DJ Stars of 2012’ in TimeOut magazine. Tieks, the pop/house crossover producer and musician broke through in 2014 with single ‘Sing That Song’, influenced as much by film as he is by music, Tieks brings a cinematic sound to the Brownstock.
 
PBR Streetgang have remixed the likes of Lana Del Ray and held a residency at Ibiza’s club-Mecca We Love at Space, next up – Brownstock. Their disco/house set promises to be a jewel in the festival’s crown this July.
 
Also added to proceedings are Ten Story, Pied Piper and Kokiri, plus Essex’s own DJ Cable and Dream McClean.

The Darkness, Shadow Child and more added to Brownstock lineup

Amongst the plethora of dance and pop on offer at this year’s Brownstock, The Darkness and The Hoosiers are to crash the party, bringing with them a heady slice of rock and indie. To keep the dance floor packed are yet more new names from the electronic world including Shadow Child, Bondax, Friction, MJ Cole and more.

After a 2011 reunion, quadruple platinum selling rock outfit The Darkness returned to our stereos and stages, now they are headed for Brownstock. The glam four piece, fronted by falsetto-reaching frontman Justin Hawkins have bagged BRIT, Ivor Novello and MTV EMA awards during their high-octane international career. Essex is preparing to head bang to hits such as ‘Growing on Me’ come July.

DJ and producer Shadow Child is known to many via his shows on BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM, he joins the line up for Brownstock having previously remixed fellow performer Example. Also appearing will be Lancashire future garage duo Bondax and Indiana, a singer making waves with her single ‘Solo Dancing’. With a number one debut album under their belts The Hoosiers will offer up indie rock to the festival’s menu.
 
Elsewhere amongst the recent additions are triple deck spinning Drum and Bass DJ, Friction, UK garage leaderMJ Cole and the hip-hop/jungle infusing DJ Zinc. Ibiza Rocks resident DJ Doorly, warehouse rave originatorsRatpack and Brightonion Fono are also in line to get Brownstock jumping. RAM Records’ will be represented by artists Rene Lavice and Culture Shock whilst the much hyped Rat Boy and eye catching Them&Us prepare to take to the stage.
 
The Treehouse Stage, hosted by Fréses events also unveils the first of its acts today. Anna Mcluckie, best know for her appearance on The Voice in which she wowed judges not just with her singing but also her harp skills, crowns The Treehouse Stage. Elsewhere a number of Essex’s very own up and coming, unsigned and grassroots talents will be taking to the Treehouse stage including Youth ClubCourts, Dojo, Midnight Barbers, Stealing signs takeover, October Glow, Calgary, Local Life DJs, John The Baptist, Darcy andFréres DJs.

Basement Jaxx, Example and DJ Fresh lead Brownstock Festival 2015 lineup

Big-beat twosome Basement Jaxx, British rapper Example and Drum n’ Bass producer DJ Fresh are today revealed as headliners for Brownstock, taking place 10-12 July in Essex. Festival fashion will be flaunted to the tune of superstar dance, pop and urban sounds with Sub FocusLethal Bizzle and more also featuring across a dazzling line-up. Nestled in the Essex countryside, Morris Farm is limbering up for a party of next-level proportions otherwise known as Brownstock. The boutique-bash won’t let size stop some of the most successful chart topping and dance floor-filling names taking to the stage. The Grammy nominated duo Basement Jaxx will headline the main stage in a set sure to boast many familiar tracks such as ‘Where’s Your Head At’, ‘Romeo’ and ‘Good Luck’. Also crowning the main stage will be Elliot Gleave, better known as Example, returning to Brownstock after his rapturously received set in 2011. The festival’s third headliner is dance producer extraordinaire DJ Fresh; the drum n’ bass major player recently scored a number one in the UK Dance Singles chart with his current track‘Gravity’.
 
The eclectic Sub Focus will be on a hand for a set spanning his drum n’ bass roots, through to his latest genre-busting material and to whip up the crowds in true grime style will be MC and MOBO winner Lethal Bizzle. Back over on the decks Brownstock bows down to a legend of jungle by the name Goldie, furthermore returning to the festival will be one of its veterans Doorly, a firm favourite who has played almost every year of the event. Yet more servings of finest electronic sounds have been confirmed for the festival in the forms of Kove,Dimension and Meridian Dan.

Pendulum, Route 94, Chloe Howl and more added to Brownstock

Brownstock Festival has announced that Pendulum (DJ + Verse), Route 94 and Sigma will be appearing in the dance tent at Brownstock 2014 and that Chloe Howl, Bipolar Sunshine, Josh Record and Tina V will play the main stage in support of headliners Dizzee Rascal, De La Soul and Razorlight. The festival has also added a host of upcoming and local unsigned support acts to the 2014 festival bill. 

Brownstock Music Festival is a small independent music festival run by the Brown family on their farm near Chelmsford, Essex. This year the festival will be held on the 29th August to the 31st August 2014 and is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a birthday party theme.

De La Soul set to headline Brownstock Festival

Dizzee Rascal andRazorlight to headline Brownstock Festival

Legendary British rapper Dizzee Rascal will headline Saturday night of the festival. Dizzee’s debut Boy in da corner is over 10 years old now, winning him a Mercury Music Prize kickstarting an amazing career in music. Since then he has collected a host of other awards with both an NME and Brit award under his belt. He has also gone on to release four more albums, 3 of which went gold and the last of them “Tongue in cheek” went platinum. And of course Dizzee Rascall is one of the few artists with the claim to fame of playing at the 2012 Olympics’ opening ceremony, singing Bonkers to an estimated audience of 900 million in a specially-made ‘E3’ baseball jacket. There is no mistaking the dirtee stank anthems, Bonkers and Fix Sharp Look Sharp amongst a whole host of collaborations with everyone from Chase & Status to Calvin Harris.

 
Indie rock royalty Razorlight will also be taking to the main stage to headline Brownstock 2014. With a huge back catalogue of classic anthems, this NME and Brit award nominated English indie rock band are World renown for their chart topping hits such as “America” “Golden Touch” and “Somewhere Else”. Johnny Borrell is taking a break from his busy solo schedule to make an historic appearance at the birthday party.

The Feeling: Brit Awards nominated “pop rock” band The Feeling. With a number 1 selling album, a selection of top ten hits, as well as the claim to fame that they were at one point the most played band on UK radio. Their four singles received a total of 97,436 plays, which meant that, on average, a song by The Feeling was played 267 times every day, once every 5 minutes.

DJ EZ: Garage supremo and DJ extraordinaire DJ EZ will be one of the featured artists making an appearance in the Festivals Good Shed arena. The man literally needs no introduction having destroyed dance floors all over the world and a career spanning 3 decades. Even now with his Kiss FM radio show, he ignites parties with his infectious brand of mixing UK classics with the latest breakthrough artists. A firm favourite for 2014’s line up.

Goldie Lookin Chain: Brownstock’s 10th birthday party will not really start until Welsh comedy rap group Goldie Lookin Chain hit the main stage. Although sometimes controversial, group members Rhys, Eggsy and Adam certainly know how to entertain, and since they have recently announced it is 10 years since their first live gig they should certainly be ready for the celebrations.

Jack Beats: Niall Dailly and Ben Geffin make up this extremely successful electronic music duo. Dailly, also known as Plus One, is a former Scratch Pervert and is a winner of the coveted DMC DJ championship title, meanwhile Beni G was a member of fellow turntablists, the Mixologists.  With a recent Fabric Live compilation under their belts, demand has never been higher to witness the turntable masters in action.

Doorly: As a Brownstock ambassador this will be Doorly’s 4th appearance at the festival after hosting his own stage in 2012. More recently he’s gone on to play some of the biggest shows the scene has to offer, including a Nokia launch in Times Square, New York, alongside Nicki Minaj in New York.
 
P money: Paris Moore-Williams, better known by his stage name P Money is an English Grime MC of the highest caliber. Being a New Zealander he made an impact down under being nominated for Best Urban/Hip Hop Album at the 2013 New Zealand Music Awards. However he is now firmly making waves in the UK and finished eighth in MTV's list of the best UK MCs.

Professor Green to replace Rudimental at Brownstock Festival

Brownstock Festival is an independent boutique style festival held on the Brown Family's farm in Essex on the weekend of the 30th, 31st Aug and 1st Sept. The festival was due to be headlined on Saturday by Rudimental (dj). In the last few hours the festival has been informed by Rudimental's management that they will not be able to perform at this year's festival. They have released this statement:

 "It is with regret that Rudimental have to cancel their forthcoming appearance at Brownstock. This is through no fault of the promoters of the event, and is due to a major US touring commitment. We are hoping to make it up to everyone in 2014"

Saturday night's headline slot will now be taken by Professor Green, one of the largest acts ever to appear at Brownstock Festival. The Brown Family have released a full statement on the situation here

Since hearing the news regarding Rudimental's cancellation The Brown Family have been making it their business to make sure this cancellation doesn't take anything from the festival experience and have worked to bring the 2013 festival a new Saturday night headliner.

Fresh from his appearance at Glastonbury they welcome Professor Green to the 2013 line up. He will headline Saturday at the festival on the main stage. With a back catalogue with hit singles, a double gold certified album, a Facebook and Twitter following bigger than some counties, you can rest assured he will be performing a memorable set.

Adam Brown Festival Director said: "We were obviously extremely disappointed to receive the statement from Rudimental. It was a massive shock to the team. As a small independent event fighting for the best line up possible is always a challenge, but we are so excited to have been able to replace them with such formidable name. Professor Green will be an amazing finish to Saturday, one that the whole team will make sure they don't miss."

Going into its 9th year the festival has seen unprecedented sales which are 100% up on this point before. The festival has sold out of all but its last tier of tickets and there will be no tickets for sale on the gate.

Rudimental and Tom Odell added to Brownstock Festival

Rudimental and Tom Odell have been added to the line up for Brownstock Music Festival in Essex.

Latest line up: The Fratellis, Rudimental (dj), Mark Ronson, Tom Odell, The Pigeon Detectives, Benga & Youngman, Duke Dumont, Jaguar Skills, Roni Size,  Doorly and DJ Yoda.

Brownstock Music Festival is an independent boutique festival run by the Brown family on their farm near Chelmsford, Essex. All the family's personalities combine to create this varied and intimate small festival. It will be held this year for the 9th time on the weekend of the 30th Aug -1st Sept 2013.

Dance floor sensations, Rudimental, will headline the main stage on the Saturday night at the Essex festival. With two number ones and a Brit award nomination under their belt, this should be one of the weekend's most memorable performances. At Radio 1's Big Weekend they were "The most watched act of the weekend". They also boast YouTube hits in excess of 20 million. "Waiting All Night", featuring  Ella Eyre, reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart on 21 April 2013. Two weeks later, Home debuted at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart. Their latest single "Right here" was released on the 5th of July.

Also added to the festival's main stage line up on Saturday 31st July will be singer song writer Tom Odell. Odell won the coveted BRITs Critics' Choice Award in early 2013 with "Another Love". His debut studio album, Long Way Down, was released on 24 June 2013.  He was discovered by  Lily Allen, who said "his energy on stage reminded me of  David Bowie". Odell's debut album, Long Way Down, was released on 24 June 2013 and reached No. 1 in the UK Official Chart.

The Fratellis will play at Brownstock as part of only a handful of UK festival performances.  The Glaswegians had sold over a million copies of their debut album, 'Costello Music', in the UK alone. The peak of their achievements was picking up the Best British Breakthrough Gong at the Brit Awards, as voted by listeners of BBC Radio 1.

Mark Ronson: will play in the Essex festival's dance tent. Ronson started his career as a hip hop DJ. He is now a Grammy and Brit Award winner, famous for his extremely successful work with good friend Amy Winehouse.

The Pigeon Detectives: The platinum selling indie rock band have 3 top 40 albums. Their first, "Wait for Me" debuted at number 3 in the album charts. They have also previously supported The Fratellis, playing alongside them and the massive Kasabian.

Benga & Youngman:  Benga widely thought of as one of the pioneers of dubstep. One third of Magnetic Man, half of Radio 1 DJ duo, Skream & Benga, and producer behind Katy B's first string of hits. He even has the claim to fame of playing dubstep for Prince William and Harry!

Duke Dumont: Veteran DJ and producer. Recently reaching the UK number 1 spot with the song " Need U (100%)". The official music video for the song, directed by Ian Robertson, has over 2.5 million YouTube views.

Jaguar skills: Famous for DJing in a ninja mask which continues to add mystery to his persona as his name, age and hometown remain unknown. He is the king of crossover and mash up sets. He has a weekly 10 minute mix on Radio 1 for Trevor Nelson and gives a big festival DJ performance which will not leave people disappointed. 

Roni size: Roni Size is a veteran DJ of drum and bass and Mercury Music Award winner. The well renowned Brown paper bag is still an institution of a track!

Doorly: As a Brownstock ambassador this will be Doorly's 3rd appearance at the festival after hosting his own stage in 2012. More recently he's gone on to play some of the biggest shows the scene has to offer, including a Nokia launch in Times Square, New York, alongside Nicki Minaj in New York.
