Darius Syrossian, Shogun Audio, Whipping with Mele, T57 + Zero, Luuk Van Dijk, Yousef and more to perform
Key to each party is the club’s subtle but immersive lighting but also the famous VOID sound system. It is perfectly tuned and tweaked to suit the venue and delivers every hi hat and kick drum as intended. The club is famously warm with exploded brick, an up close and personal DJ booth and crowds who know their music. For that reason, it offers a superior small club experience where tight connections are made between music, dancers and artists every night.
This run is another one that looks firmly to the cutting edge of house and techno with the return of Darius Syrossian’s Moxy Muzik party on Feb 4th. This one routinely sells out. On Friday 3rd, March when he plays an extended three-hour set, expect another masterclass. On Friday 10th February, the bass bins will be tested by their Shogun Audio crew and Pol & Bryson, Duskee and Monroe, then Venus Classics will bring the good times on the 11th; raw house specialist Mele plays Whip with a special guest on Friday 17th, T57 + Zero stop in as part of their UK tour on the 18th and after an All Night Long session from Luuk Van Dijk on the 24th, Circus founder and all-around scene figurehead Yousef play a special three-hour set.
Into March before Free From Sleep rolls in on Saturday 4th, with Ilan Bluestone seeing up his mesmeric melodic grooves. Friday the 10th is the always colourful Horse Meat Disco with Supernature DJs and more, and on Saturday the 11th, the local, new school hero that is Kaluki, DFTD, and Repopulate Mars associate Mason Maynard takes his place in the JBs basement.
Friday, the 17th, is the first of three consecutive All Night Long parties – the first with bass house queen Hannah Wants, the second on Saturday 18th, with longtime Fuse resident and dub house and garage-techno man Seb Zito and the third on Friday, the 24th with Dundee’s party starter Hannah Laing. The night after, it’s the fast-rising Max Dean, and the month ends with another three-hour special from Amsterdam’s slick house innovator and PIV artist Toman on the 31st of March.
Highlights in April include Just Snack with Mele and more, Rebuke, Fleur Shore, and Nick Warren all playing their one All Night Long parties, the monthly Moxy Muzik party, a set from Sam Divine, Whippin’ with The Mason Collective, Full Circle with Route 94, Retro with Paul Taylor and K-Klass and more.
There is nowhere in the country that offers an underground experience as authentic as Joshua Brooks, so get down for this next fine month of parties.

Creators of memorable live music experiences in the UK, forward-thinking events company JBM Music have announced a run of remarkable shows at the recently refurbished and reopened Manchester music venue, New Century.
The venue, which has undergone a stunning £10 million transformation, boasting an updated live music and event space as well as a modern dining concept, will see some of the biggest names in electronic music gracing its stage.
ARTBAT and their impressive UPPERGROUND imprint launch into 2023 with the second in their ‘Selected’ series with another powerful four tracks featuring the talents of Sasha Carassi and Husa & Zeyada, Losless, Adam Sellouk and Roman Kyn.
Tracklist:
1) Sasha Carassi, Husa & Zeyada – Bad Wrongs [ Listen Here ]
2) Losless – Deeper [ Listen Here ]
3) Adam Sellouk – Hypno Therapy [ Listen Here ]
4) Roman Kyn – Take It [ Listen Here ]
UPPERGROUND continues to grow and the label enters 2023 coming off the back of a sell out New Year’s show at Zamna in Tulum, and with many more UPPERGROUND events incoming this year, 2023 looks to be a very strong year for the Ukrainian artists’ label.
For the second in the ‘Selected’ series the pair pick 4 very special tracks that have been the backbone of their sets for the past few months.
First out of the box is Sasha Carassi’s collaboration with Husa & Zeyada titled ‘Bad Wrongs’. This is a raw and rasping electronic track, with its passionate and raw vocal cutting through, this is a special track that is going to be featuring heavily in many a DJs set over the coming months.
Next up is ‘Deeper’ by French DJ Producer Losless, who combines soundscapes, acid sounds and a hypnotic-like arrangement that takes you on an emotive and powerful journey. The track makes you want to close your eyes, will transport you throughout the cosmos and gives you a moment of introspection into life.
Following on we come to the sounds of Adam Sellouk with his aptly named ‘Hypno Therapy’ track and he doesn’t disappoint. Using a strong powerful saw bassline which opens and closes, he adds a trance infused sounding melody lead creating a track that is truly hypnotic and spiritual and one that will certainly be a firm favourite with crowds who love to experience a smooth and enlightening journey when they’re clubbing.
