Time Warp is to host a second edition of their superb, compacted, but just as potent, “Two Days, Two Stages” concept this October.
It will be a full experience with the likes of Amelie Lens, Denis Sulta, Loco Dice, Peggy Gou, Maceo Plex, Sven Väth, Pan-Pot, VTSS, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Dax J, Paula Temple, Hector Oaks, Kobosil, Perel, Peggy Gou and many more.
Time Warp has bounced back in spectacular fashion after the pandemic with a sold out and hugely successful event in São Paulo in May where over 30,000 visitors soaked up world class sounds. It was the third edition and the first large-scale Time Warp show since the pandemic started. The same weekend saw a two-day Time Warp debut in Santiago de Chile with over 15,000 visitors getting the Time Warp experience. Now the full focus is on these two special days in autumn in Mannheim. Then all roads point to the much-anticipated return of Time Warp to its original date and venue in April 2023 across seven floors and with 19 hours of music.
This second compact form of Time Warp in October will be bigger than last year with the addition of an extra stage. One is in the Maimarkthalle and the second is in the Maimartkclub and both have serious line-ups that offer young and fresh talents, plenty of Time Warp debuts and lots of international heavyweights.
On Day One, all aspects of techno are covered by the red hot talent Amelie Lens, party starter Denis Sulta, debutant and techno craftsman Enrico Sangiuliano, the ever-evolving Italian Joseph Capriati, Desolations boss Loco Dice, astral techno innovator Maceo Plex, techno titan Richie Hawtin, plus a live set from acid techno lover Reinier Zonneveld and more from PAN-POT, plus debuts from Perel, and Sama’ Abdulhadi.
Day Two offers just as much depth and quality with Drumcode’s Adam Beyer, the arresting Paula Temple, Cocoon legend Sven Väth, breakout sensation Peggy Gou, and rave-techno specialist Héctor Oaks, Kobosil, global tastemaker Solomun and Kompakt’s leading associate Kölsch plus plenty of thrilling sounds from Dax J, KAS:ST, MARRØN and VTSS.
These two days promise to offer a different kind of Time Warp experience, but one that is just as unique and packed with the most cutting-edge names in underground music.
Registrations for presale are open at https://time-warp.de/22. The presale starts on Monday 4th July 2022.

Today, Jon Hopkins reveals a transcendent new collaboration with Brazilian techno producer ANNA. Evolving over a month-long trans-Atlantic collaborative process, “Deep In The Glowing Heart (Night Version)”, feels like an explosive release of energy, inspired by Hopkins’ return to regular DJing this year. With early versions of this track being premiered to huge crowds by both artists at their DJ sets across the world – including ANNA at Coachella, and Hopkins at Fabric – the Night Version is now available to hear widely for the first time.
The original version of “Deep In The Glowing Heart” is found on Jon Hopkins’ latest studio album Music For Psychedelic Therapy, released in November last year. Talking about the song, Hopkins said there is a feeling that “music can cleanse you, music can guide you through”. The Night Version takes you on a very different journey.
Hopkins says of the collaboration: “I first came across ANNA’s music through her track Hidden Beauties, which I found myself playing in DJ sets all the time and always goes down so well. I then asked her to remix Singularity and the results were so amazing I was super keen to work with her again but in a more collaborative way, rather than just handing over stems. We went back and forth a lot and it flowed really well. I love how this one turned out, it’s such a meeting of our two styles.”
ANNA adds: “It is a big honor to be able to create music together with Jon. His music is part of my daily life, part of my meditations, my long walks and contemplative moments. My remix for his track ‘Singularity’ had a huge impact on my career and getting to know Jon better since then, and collaborate on this version of DITGH, it feels like our relationship has come full circle!”
Music For Psychedelic Therapy was Hopkins’ first full-length since sister albums, the GRAMMY-nominated Singularity (2018) and Immunity (2013), it was a departure in sound from these records; “an album with no beats, not one drum sound, something that is closer to a classical symphony than a dance / electronica record.”
Alongside festival appearances this summer, Jon Hopkins is pleased to present several special playback events where there will be an immersive playback of Music For Psychedelic Therapy in full. Having run several of these gatherings previously in London, Austin and Los Angeles, upcoming dates include Wilderness Festival and Ireland’s Body & Soul Festival.
Jon Hopkins has recently composed the score in 360 spatial sound for Unboxed Festival’s Dreammachine. Similarly positioned to Hopkins most recent album, Dreammachine is a multi-sensory experience based on Brion Gysin’s original flicker device and aims to unlock the mind through lights and music.
Powerhouse Peterborough promoters Mixology announce Darius Syrossian, East End Dubs, ALISHA and more for their third UNDER event at Nene Parkway Flyover in August
For the past decade, Mixology has built an electronic music promotion that is one of the most revered in the East of England. Each event attracts world-class DJs whilst also showcasing the best local talent Peterborough has to offer, having run over 100 events in all including the legendary Mixology Warehouse event at Peterborough Arena, which Peterboroughians still count as one of the best events ever hosted in the city. Artists such as MAUR, ALISHA, C.O.Z, Micah Baxter, Volaris, ADR and Roobinz have all played their first gigs at Mixology and have since gone on to be recognised nationally and internationally.
UNDER is situated in idyllic, unique surroundings that juxtapose the concrete, industrial wasteland and the beautiful, scenic landscapes in the distance of the River Nene and Nene Park itself, with the DJs playing out beneath the Nene Parkway Flyover. Following the phenomenal success of the first two events, with huge sell out shows featuring Skream and Solardo, Mixology continues their UNDER concept into the summer with some exciting announcements still to come.
Says the team; “In our 10th year we aim to curate arguably the best Mixology events since our inception. We hope you’ll join us for UNDER on Saturday 13th August and what is set to be another sensational event in the heart of Peterborough!”
Headlining the next UNDER event is none other than the phenomenon that is Darius Syrossian, making his fourth appearance at Mixology. Driven by an insatiable passion for music over 20 years, Darius has dedicated his life to sharing the best house and techno records from his unparalleled library of tracks, as he continues to pack dancefloors all over the world. Expect to hear some upcoming, unreleased Moxy Muzik material as well as gems from Darius’ extensive archive.
East End Dubs meanwhile is one of the most talented and revered selectors in the UK today. A DJ’s DJ whose passion and talent over the past 15 years have had floors locked into his stripped back but characterful grooves from the dubbed out genres of house, garage and tech. He is imbued with the same urban grit, late night menace and subtle sense of mischief as the East London streets from which he takes his name and his self titled label ‘East End Dubs’ has become a much talked about outlet that has found its way into the bags of serious selectors like Raresh and Riccardo Villalobos.
Just over 7 years ago, ALISHA played her very first gig at Mixology. Fast-forward to today and ALISHA’s DJ career has been ascending at a stratospheric rate with a residency at WHP, a regular on the BPM bills, Paradise, Elrow, Glastonbury and Parklife. Having racked up over 1m streams across all digital streaming platforms to date and a string of releases on the likes of Kaluki, Libero, Nothing Else Matters, Relief and WYLD, expect a set delivering high-octane energy with a sound that underpins deep rumbling low-end basslines, driving grooves and stripped-back percussion.
Also on the line-up will be Mixology residents James Chan & Dan Clare (MAUR), Spalding’s own Lee Haslam, House Proud’s Russell James and Toby Graham & Louis Jones. Sign-up to the mailing list now to get notified for future events, priority tickets special offers at www.under.events

Cocoon label head and global techno influencer Sven Väth’s is to play two exclusive dates at Ibiza’s all new Club Chinois. The world renowned DJ will play longer sets under the banner of Catharsis on 21st June and 27th September.
Arriving in February this year, Catharsis was German pioneer Sven Väth’s first solo album in almost 20 years. It is a record inspired by Sven’s interest in the physical and spiritual processes that take place when we dance and it shows he is still right at the sharp end of the techno scene. The stylistically diverse record captures all the essence of Väth’s many different sounds over the years from minimal to techno, electro to ambient.
It came on his vital Cocoon label which is also the name of his world famous parties in Ibiza. They introduced the island to techno more than 20 years ago and have always been its beating heart ever since. Sven is of course at the centre of it all as a DJ who can play for hours on end and always keep the crowd enthralled. His deep knowledge and mastery of musical storytelling across all forms of techno is second to none. For that reason, he is sure to make these two dates hugely special as he goes from big and euphoric sounds to stomping grooves, tough techno to more lush and melodic sounds. No trip to Ibiza is complete without seeing this master at work.
This year, he plays in a more intimate space than usual for the White Isle as the all new Club Chinois – which has taken over and fully redesigned what was HEART Ibiza – allows dancers to get up and close and personal. The space is bathed in lush gold tones, with cutting edge light and sound and stylish design to offer an all new kind of experience.
These special dates will see Sven play a couple of longer than normal and unmissable sets.

The much anticipated opening of brand new Ibiza venue Club Chinois is just around the corner and today it announces three standout residencies for summer 2022. Playing across the season on a weekly basis will be world renowned stars Luciano on Saturdays, THEMBA presents Colours on Wednesdays and Guy Gerber presents Mirror Games on Sundays. These innovative new nights make Club Chinois the White Isle’s most unmissable new experience, with a cutting edge selection of headliners to be announced for each party in the coming days.
Club Chinois is from the team behind Park Chinois, London’s iconic Asian restaurant, and is a stylish new spot meticulously designed by award-winning Parisian design studio Laleh Assefi. Housed in the former HEART site and inspired by the decadent yet iniquitous jazz clubs of 1930’s, the venue mixes up old-world hospitality with world class service, production, light and sound and a tastefully curated series of residencies for its first season.
Global techno innovator and Cadenza label boss Luciano is to host Saturdays from 2nd July until 27th August. His weekly events will bring the best in underground talent to the club, with a rare intimate vibe and high class sound. His own sets will take centre stage and promise the sort of masterful grooves and Latin flair that have made the award winning Swiss-Chilean DJ and producer such a recognised superstar.
Sundays from 19th June until 9th October will be all about “Guy Gerber presents Mirror Games” , which is centred around the power of the mirror. Inspired by Anish Kupor and James Turrell, Mirror Games is a deeply personal project for Gerber who takes sole charge of the creative direction, bookings and artwork for this party himself. It’s a very human endeavour, with production reliant on hand made physical art rather than technology and every week, attendees will enter into a room full of mirrors; tinted, distorted, ancient and new, which will reflect our pain, pleasure, beauty and flaws. Hidden inside this hall of mirrors will be a special room that allows you to pass through the looking glass. Mirror Game members or token holders will step beyond the party, having access to curated digital art pieces, an ownership stake in a Gerber track and even a stake in the party itself. Will you come inside?
Wednesdays from 15th June 28th September will be “THEMBA presents Colours”, the pioneering South African artist who burst onto the dance scene in 2018 with a series of high-profile sets and music releases such as ‘Who Is THEMBA?’ which became a chart topping global smash. THEMBA’s sound is forged from his African roots, incorporating local singers, songwriters and percussionists to create his own unique take on electronic music and that will be reflected in the global house sounds he curates at his much anticipated new residency.
These three very different but equally vital residencies promise to bring untold musical pleasures to Club Chinois each and every week this summer. The final countdown is now on to Ibiza’s most talked about new opening.

Volta is a free, self-service XR creation platform that allows creators to construct and broadcast immersive experiences throughout the metaverse. Its much anticipated showcase event is at The Standard High line on Tuesday 7th June and features Ninja Tune artist, Machinedrum, performing an exclusive, hybrid virtual set wrapped around a live audience which will be live streamed to an online audience who will be able to have an impact on the virtual world in real time.
Volta is LEGOs for mixed reality and 3D visuals for artists, musicians and creators. It allows live streaming artists to use any audio source (desktop audio output, midi controllers, metadata, DAWS like Ableton Live or Logic Pro, etc) to automate various visual effects of the world, in sync with their music in real time — the first ever initiative of its kind.
Volta’s technology enables musicians, artists and creators to build and perform in 3D, audio reactive worlds for everything from live streams to the LED walls at a live show. They believe that the future of entertainment is not only immersive, but also interactive and participatory.
On the vision behind Volta, Volta CEO Alex Kane shares: “We at Volta don’t think anyone has gotten extended reality entertainment right yet. The only way this will happen is when enough artists have access to the tools. If a paintbrush cost $500k, then an artist would optimize their art to be about the money instead of the artistic expression – we aim to democratize these new tools so extended reality as an entertainment medium has true artistic merit.”
The launch event on June 7th will break new ground as it demonstrates how artists and their audiences, local and global, can make a genuinely unique collaborative performance mixed reality performances, liveAt the event, the screens which are wrapped around the audience will provide a hugely immersive experience in the audio reactive world that has been built, especially for this event that will showcase the potential of Volta’s innovative new technology.
The Standard High Line, with a rooftop bar and stunning views of Manhattan, is an ideal space to showcase the future of live entertainment. In addition to the ground-breaking technology on display, guests at the event will include artists, managers, labels and creatives from both the music and metaverse industries.
Featured artist Machinedrum is a restless and innovative underground mainstay. He has produced across a dizzying array of genres and has dipped his toe in the XR space with last year’s AV performance crafted over several months with renowned Computation Designer, Daito Manabe.
Moreover, Volta is partnering with world renowned music production and DJ school, Point Blank, at the event. Point Blank will be hosting the interactive livestream on their Youtube channel as well as running a collaborative contest with their students. The winner will be awarded the opening set before Machinedrum at the event.
This will be the first of many high profile events featuring Volta’s new audience interaction tools throughout the summer. That feature will be rolled into the product during Q3 of this year. By the end of the year Volta will not only democratize next level XR tools but global audience interaction and even provide a new revenue stream for artists whether they are performing on the top floor of The Standard or from their bedroom.
