Berlin born DJ, producer and label owner Ben Klock is without a doubt one of the most significant characters in techno’s recent history. Encapsulating dark funky rhythms and technological brilliance, Dubfire is the apex of a unique sound. After collaborating with the likes of Underworld, Dubfire recently decamped to Barcelona, creating a studio and international office in the Spanish city as well as a jump-off point for frequent trips to Ibiza where he is a huge fixture at the White Isle’s most exceptional outings including Cocoon, Carl Cox’s Revolution and Richie Hawtin’s ENTER.

First appearing in the Slam Tent in 2013, Eats Everything is set to return with a generous portion of top anthems this year. His ascendance through the ranks of dance music’s top players has been as deserved as it has been rapid. His tunes have been tried and tested in all four corners of the globe, the Eats juggernaut ploughing through countless parties, clubs and festivals, from Ibiza to the USA, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona and back to his home city of Bristol.

Bringing some local talent to the Slam Tent this July is Gary Beck. Pioneer and icon Lil Louis is an international DJ / producer who is widely credited as being the founding father of house music. His pioneering skills and edits planted the seed of house music and made him one of the frontrunners in the scene. Producing and writing tracks for the likes of Jay-Z and Lil Kim throughout his impressive career,Lil Louis is another stellar addition to the Slam Tent bill.

Said to have inspired a collective imagination, Loco Dice merges perspectives in his delicate sense for sounds and reflective atmospheres, underpinned with solid, physical grooves inspired by the hip hop that was his early sonic stomping ground in the mid- to late ‘90s. Sure to bring a set packed full of classics, Loco Dice’s set at Strathallan Castle in July is not to be missed.

British-Japanese, producer and DJ Maya Jane Coles is widely considered an enigma in today’s music world as well as a global star, regularly turning her sets into spectacles and making coveted hit lists including Resident Advisor’s top DJ Chart. Rødhåd has been socialised by Berlin's looptechno nights and always finds the perfect balance of timeless techno to lift the dancefloor higher and higher. His style is always deep, powerful and melancholic – from dubtechno to techno and back to house- something which is sure to go down a treat in this year’s Slam Tent at T in the Park.

With their fifth album Reverse Proceed heralded as one of the best electronic albums for years, SLAM’s two legendary producers continue to demonstrate why they are such an important part of modern day electronic music. SLAM instigated Glasgow's underground house music scene in the late 1980s, going on to be instrumental in the explosion of the UK Techno scene. Their quarter century of exploits have seen them travel far and wide, leaving scorch marks on dance floors everywhere while taking their uncompromising vision of techno around the world. Their firmly established monthly club events in Glasgow – ‘Pressure’ at the Arches and ‘Return To Mono’ at the Sub Club – are ranked amongst the best nights out on the planet. Over the last two years, the pair have also developed Slam Radio, delivering some of the best DJs and music that techno has to offer to a massive and loyal weekly following.

Possessing a premier technical ability and innate musical taste, Telford’s appearance at this year’s T in the Park festival is sure to go down a storm with fans. His original combination of house and techno create sets full of infectious grooves and intense atmosphere. The newest occasional resident at Glasgow’s Sub Club Subculture club night, Telford is sure to bring his classic sounds mixed with forward thinking house and techno to Strathallan Castle this summer.

They are a new generation of young, talented producers from Detroit who draw influence from all who have come before them, following in their footsteps, while defining a unique sound of their own. Having their roots in Motown whilst drawing ambitious spiritual vibes from forerunners like Theo Parrish and Moodyman, this will be a performance that is not to be missed.

The international line-up is fitting to mark the historic first year at the festival’s brand new Perthshire home. Back for its 19th year at T in the Park, the Slam Tent has an atmosphere second to none, with many more artists to be announced.

Eats Everything confirmed for SW4 Sunday

Since 2011 Bristolian Daniel Pearce aka Eats Everything has stood at the forefront of a new genre of forward-thinking underground music. His debut track fittingly titled ‘Entrance Song’ shook the electronic world from its very foundations, whilst his next two bass-laden house jams‘The Size’ and ‘Tric Trac’were picked up by Claude Von Stroke for his flagship Dirtybird label. From here the rest, as they say, is history.

Fast forward to 2014 and there is not a more in demand DJ in British house music. His XOYO residency fully illustrated this, with around-the-block queues and guests of the calibre of Disclosure, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Catz ‘N’ Dogz falling over themselves to be a part of the fun. This high profile residency resulted in interest from all London festivals but we are delighted to announce that Eats has chosen South West Four for his only London festival performance this summer. Taking control of one of our mammoth indoor arenasEats Everything will bring Edible to Clapham Common for thevery first time. He will be joined by an outstanding selection of handpicked guests as Edible consolidates the many different facets of his buoyant personality and eclectic taste in music.

This summer will witness Eats continue to gobble his way across club land with the momentum of a runaway freight train. A residency for Together at Amnesia Ibiza is another example of the excitement surrounding the big man and how this year will witness his status reach even loftier heights. However it isSW4 that will provide the main course for his 2014 movements and which will welcome ‘Eaters’ from far and wide for this pinnacle moment in his career so far.

The Port returns to Bestival with Sven Vath, Chase & Status and more

One of the most imaginative stages ever built, The Port returns to Bestival 2014 to host some of the biggest DJ's!

Heading up the first of three full-on days of big sounds is Cocoon kingpin and techno protagonist Sven Väth, who, for over 30 years, has been transporting dancefloors to rapturous new lands and will no doubt baptise 2014’s Port crew with his boundary pushing brilliance. Friday will also see sets from uncompromising genius Damian Lazarus, bass heavy groove merchant Eats Everything, rave detonator Boys Noize, driving techno type Bella Sarris, sine-woven tech head South London Ordnance, and our very own chief castaway Rob da Bank.

Saturday action comes courtesy of the amazing Annie Mac Presents, with sets from Annie Mac, the incomparable Green Velvet1-800-DINOSAUR (ft James Blake / Dan Foat / Airhead / Mr Assister), stripped back beats architect Route94, underground house duo Bicep, Hot Natured resident Richy Ahmed, mutant house purveyorKrystal Klear and BBC Radio 1’s Monki.

Wrapping things up at The Port for 2014 is an almighty beats blitzkrieg featuring a DJ set from soul-stirring bass lords Chase & Status, plus drum n bass legend Andy Cwill present Ram, with firing sets from Wilkinson and Loadstar and MCs 2shyAdapt and Jakes. We’ll also have dancefloor action from beat ninja Jaguar Skills, Foamo and RackNRuin in their Gorgon City guise, soul infused pair Dusky, wildly experimental riddim wizard Kaytranada, divinely deep duo Âme and techno twosome Dense & Pika.

Annie Mac, Eats Everything and more for Love Saves The Day

Love Saves The Day returns to Bristol's Castle Park in May for a third edition of the cutting edge music festival. Having sold out in both its previous years, months in advance of the shows, Love Saves The Day has expanded to a two date event for 2014 and will once again immerse Bristol in the very best electronic and bass music.

Saturday

Rocking the Main Stage on Saturday will be local hero Eats Everything whose expertly crafted mix of classic 80s and 90s house and contemporary UK bass has seen him receive such accolades as DJ Magazine's 'Best British DJ' and 'Best Breakthrough Producer' awards as well as becoming the highest new entry in Resident Advisor's celebrated 'Top 100 DJs Poll'. Radio 1's Annie Mac is a true champion of the underground and one of the most in demand club and festival DJ's on the planet. Her widely respected Friday night slot on Radio 1 is essential listening and Annie always knows how to work the crowd.

Clean Bandit are one of the most exciting new dance bands in the UK, and have recently scored their first Number One in January with 'Rather Be' feat. Jess Glynne. First appearing at Love Saves The Day last year, we are really proud to have them return to play one of the premier slots on the Main Stage.

Returning to the fold after a brief hiatus are the mighty Hercules & Love Affair. A collaborative rotating door of personalities, led by the ringmaster of Andy Butler, the new line-up promises some amazing new music and a brand new album this spring, featuring such amazing voices as John Grant, Rouge Mary and Belgian Singer Gustaphe. One thing that we know is whatever the ensemble, H&LV have always put on shows to remember!

Cyril Hahn's expertly executed take on deep house and modern R&B has made him the go-to remixer of the the moment. With influences stemming everywhere from French filter house and hard-core punk through to an affinity with the reverb soaked tones of modern post-rock it's no wonder that this twenty-something wunderkid has made fans of such electronic and indie luminaries as Diplo, the XX, Jessie Ware and his PMR label mates Disclosure

Nina Kraviz sublime combination of deep house and techno has seen her become one of the hottest new names on the scene whilst Craig Richards flies the flag for the tech house fraternity.

Love Saves The Day is delighted to welcome Norway's Todd Terje who is described by Mixmag as the 'King of the summer jams' and will be performing live at the festival as well as Subb-AnWaifs and StraysCrazy PSolomon GreyMoko,Motor City Drum EnsembleFeel The Real and many more to ensure that Saturday is a relentless aural feast.

Sunday

Sunday will see the mighty SBTRKT headline the main stage at Love Saves The Day. From his early dub-tinged club focused singles to the crossover success of his self-titled debut album, Sbtrkt has never been afraid to push musical boundaries and his forthcoming 2014 album is one that is sure to break new ground in what we understand as live electronic dance music.

Preceding Sbtrkt will be one of the most respected names in music Jamie XX. Outside of his day job in Mercury Prize winning electronic indie outfit the XX, Jamie is a prolific producer and remixer. His signature combination of haunting melodies and low key club percussion provide the backbone for his work. An active DJ career, collaboration with the late, great Gil Scott-Heron, production work for rap heavyweight Drake and a series of remixes for Radiohead are an indicator of exactly how diverse an artist he has become.

Surely one of the most hyped and eagerly anticipated albums of 2014 already is forthcoming from Neneh Cherry with RocketNumberNine. Produced by man-of-the-moment FourTet, with guests such as Robyn featuring, it is Neneh's first solo album in 17 years. Neneh also has a special affinity with Bristol, having been amongst the first to champion the 'Wild Bunch' who later became 'Massive Attack', lending them her studio many years ago that enabled the recording of the seminal 'Blue Lines'. This is going to be a pretty special Bristol show for us all.

Paul Woolford's Special Request moniker was launched in March 2012 via two bold white label 12" singles. The project captures and distils the energy and unruly conventions of UK pirate radio and uses that as a springboard of inspiration for a series of productions that span from heavyweight darkside techno to chaotic, eye of the storm jungle tear-outs. We've long been a fan of Woolford's sets and can't wait to see him perform as the rampant Special Request.

Despite the generations between them, dub production stalwart Adrian Sherwood and fresh-faced dub step producer Pinchhave teamed up to create an incredible clash of heritage dancehall, reggae and modern electronic music. Their set will be highly anticipated as will performances from drum & bass legend Shy FX, bass boy of the moment Dismantle and another of Radio 1's champions of dance music B. Traits. The legendary Greg Wilson will take to the decks at the UK's finest electronic music festival with Gentleman's Dub ClubSagittarianJus NowCongo Natty and many others ensuring that festival goers enjoy the very best electronic sounds the globe has to offer.

Love Saves The Day partners with some of Bristol's and the UKs finest clubbing institutions including Just Jack, Futureboogie, The Dance Off, Teachings In Dub, Black Butter, Digital Soundboy, The Blast, Horse Meat Disco and Soul Train.

More names will be added shortly as Love Saves The Day builds upon the legacy it laid down over the past 2 years.

Slam Tent lineup revealed for T in the Park

Bringing cutting edge beats, a top of the range lighting spec and the big club atmosphere straight to the heart of the Scottish countryside, Slam 2013 will see the most in-demand DJs and hottest mixing talent take to the decks over 12th – 14th July. Festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager have today unveiled a phenomenal line-up curated by world renowned dance powerhouse Slam, and have announced that for the second year running the Slam Tent will open on the Friday night, giving dance fans a whole extra night to party.

Richie Hawtin

More than anyone else in modern electronic music, Richie Hawtin has made his mark on electronic music by being inventive and relentlessly proving himself to be a true innovator. The one-man mogul behind acclaimed techno imprints Plus 8 & Minus sends constantly evolving signals out all over the world and his DJ reputation has earned him many Best International DJ awards with fans and the music industry. His Plastikman persona has given techno a unique face with a series of four ruthlessly minimal albums of skeletal beauty and his breathtaking live sets have packed dancefloors across the globe, and helped to invent stadium techno. Having performed a rare live set as Plastikman in 2010 in the Slam Tent, he returns to DJ at T in the Park this summer for the first time since 2008.

Swedish techno master Adam Beyer has been spinning a wide range of hiphop, hiphouse, acid and techno since the early 90s. His own hard, percussive and loop oriented style and deft production skills have made him one of the world’s most in demand producer/DJs and his meteoric rise has been cited as one of the catalysts for Swedish techno’s current influence.

Voted Best DJ of 2012 in a Resident Advisor poll, Detroit-born Seth Troxler continues to ignite the world of house and techno with a constant barrage of vocal jams. Having collaborated with major dance luminaries, he is one of the most in demand DJs and producers in the world.

Flying the flag for Berlin’s infamous Berghain nightclub and Ostgut Ton record label, Ben Klock &Marcel Dettmann (b2b) are known for their uncompromising take on techno, both in production and DJing style. The pair have won plaudits for bringing a raw and authentic feel back to techno and will get the Slam crowd going with their famous Berghain sound when they play a special back to back DJ set.

In the past two decades, Slam  have defined techno in Scotland, cultivated many artists of note on their Soma label, and remixed everyone from Daft Punk to Underworld. Their weekly Slam Radio show has become the most listened to techno show on Soundcloud attracting listeners from around the globe.  The legendary UK duo Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle have travelled far and wide, leaving scorch marks on dance floors across the world and return home to T in the Park for the festival’s 20th year.

Three of the world’s greatest DJ pioneers DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter & Mark Farina (b2b) are sure to deliver a jawdropping set. One of house music’s true pioneers, DJ Sneak’s signature funky filtered disco-influenced house and tough, jacking beats have revolutionised and redefined the genre for well over 15 years. Derrick Carter and Mark Farina are two great pinnacles of Chicago house music's '90s wave, and the three unite for a very special set at T in the Park.

Next up is minimal house and techno connoisseur Nina Kraviz. The Russian producer, singer and DJ made a name for herself through hosting her own night at Moscow’s legendary Club Propaganda before taking her own brand of deep-house and soulful techno on tour, filling the dancefloors across the globe.

Dirtybird boss and tech-funk producer/DJ Claude VonStroke has headlined almost every major club, festival and basement after-party in the world. His outdoor dirtybird parties in San Francisco's scenic Golden Gate Park have become a legendary summer destination point for music fans, and he’ll surely get the crowd going in the Slam Tent this summer.

Leading the new wave of talented producers to emerge from Bristol within recent years, Eats Everything aka Daniel Pearce has defined a whole new genre of forward-thinking underground house music. Drawing elements from classic house, UK bass music, Detroit techno, jungle and early rave, he pays homage to everything from Randy Crawford to Ray Charles and Murk to MK.

Numbers co-founder Jackmaster’s star is rapidly rising, as showcased at parties from his native Glasgow to Berlin to New York, and from superclubs such as Berghain and Fabric to legendary underground warehouse raves. With a new monthly show as part of BBC Radio 1′s In New DJs We Trust series under his belt, he’s sure to receive a local hero’s welcome at T in the Park.

Mired in British dance culture, Joy Orbison's brand of garage-house marries elements of house, two-step, jungle, techno and dubstep and has been attracting major critical acclaim. Alongside the release of the gargantuan Hyph Mngo which was hailed as the most essential purchase of the season and material on his own imprint Doldrums, notorious mixes for Radio 1 and Ministry have well and truly cemented his reputation as one of the UK’s hottest new talents.

Also heading to the Slam Tent this summer are Glasgow’s own DJ/production duo Silicone Soul. They are set to release an album on Soma to mark ten years since their subterranean parallel project and label Darkroom Dubs first unleashed its uniquely idiosyncratic take on house music. Charged with the purest distillation of the edgy early hours spirit from which house music was originally forged, Darkroom Dubs has become renowned for Silicone Soul’s walks on the dark side; the ultimate bastion of deep electronic dance music.

Back for its 17th year at T in the Park, the Slam Tent has an atmosphere second to none, with many more artists to be announced. The unveiling of another top-notch line-up set to rumble the walls and raise the roof of the tent comes hot on the heels of the announcement that electronic pioneers Kraftwerk will play the festival’s 20th year in July, meaning T in the Park truly is the ultimate destination for discerning dance music fans.

Organisers are set to unveil yet more top acts for the T20th bill next week, with headlinersMumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers, plus KraftwerkEmeli Sandé, The Script, Two Door Cinema Club, alt-J, Paloma Faith, Jake Bugg, Of Monsters and Men and Azealia Banks already confirmed.
