SUPERGRASS AND THE HUMAN LEAGUE TO HEADLINE WYCHWOOD FESTIVAL 2027 AS HUGE LINE-UP REVEALED

Wychwood Festival has revealed a huge line-up for 2027, with indie Britpop icons Supergrass announced as Friday night headliners, joining previously confirmed synth-pop legends The Human League, who headline Saturday night. Returning to Cheltenham Racecourse over new dates between 4th to 6th June 2027, the award-winning family-friendly festival is preparing for another spectacular weekend of live music, comedy, arts and entertainment beneath the beautiful Prestbury Hills.

Following a landmark 20th anniversary edition which welcomed record numbers this summer, Wychwood is building on its growing reputation with another outstanding collection of artists spanning generations and genres. Among the biggest names joining the bill today are Razorlight, The Fratellis, and Natalie Imbruglia, alongside Hard-Fi, Reverend & The Makers, Inspiral Carpets, The Molotovs, Dodgy, Dub Catalyst and many more. With the Sunday night headliner still to be revealed before the end of the year, there is plenty more excitement to come.

Demand for next summer’s festival is already at an all-time high, with over 50% of Weekend Camping tickets sold, the highest proportion ever sold at this stage. Following the success of its expanded four-day format introduced for the 20th anniversary, Wychwood will once again open its gates on Thursday for an additional evening of live music, with David Rodigan MBE and The Ordinary Boys confirmed to get the long weekend started. Tickets for Thursday’s opening night will be sold separately, while Day Tickets will also be available for 2027, offering even more ways to enjoy one of the UK’s most welcoming summer festivals.

Consistently one of the most in-demand bands from the Wychwood community, Friday night headliners Supergrass bring their Britpop anthems back to the racecourse, promising a pumping start to the weekend. From the youthful exuberance of ‘Alright’ and ‘Caught by the Fuzz’ to enduring favourites like ‘Moving’, the Oxford band have soundtracked generations of British music fans and remain one of the country’s finest live acts.

Taking the headline slot on Saturday are The Human League, whose appearance was first teased in spectacular fashion at Wychwood 2026 when a plane flew over the festival grounds towing a banner reading “Don’t You Want Me Baby! See You In 2027?“. True timeless hits from the Sheffield synth-pop pioneers will be ringing out around the Prestbury Hills for a night of pure pop nostalgia.

Across the weekend, Wychwood serves as a perfectly curated living jukebox of euphoric indie and pop classics, bringing together some of the most recognisable anthems of the past three decades for one big summer singalong. From Razorlight’s ‘In The Morning’ and ‘America’, The Fratellis’ ‘Chelsea Dagger’, and Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Torn’, to Hard-Fi’s ‘Living For The Weekend’, Reverend & The Makers’ ‘Heavyweight Champion Of The World’, Inspiral Carpets’ ‘This Is How It Feels’ and Dodgy’s ‘Good Enough’, the line-up is packed with the songs that have soundtracked generations. It’s a rare opportunity to see so many much-loved bands and artists together in one weekend, promising a feel-good soundtrack from start to finish.

Alongside these established favourites, Wychwood continues to champion the next wave of exciting new talent. Fast-rising London bands The Molotovs, Good Health Good Wealth, and Toast Club, and York’s country pop singer-songwriter Twinnie add fresh perspectives and sounds to the line-up. Continuing its commitment to supporting grassroots music, Wychwood also welcomes local band Truck to the Garden Stage, having previously performed at the festival through its Apply To Play initiative, demonstrating how the festival helps emerging artists rise through the ranks.

Speaking about their return to the festival, Truck said: “We’re so excited to be back at Wychwood in 2027. We had an amazing time playing in 2025 thanks to the apply to play initiative, so to be invited back for next year feels like coming home and we can’t wait! – and what a line up to be a part of!”

Cheltenham’s finest, Truck

And of course, no Wychwood weekend would be complete without its signature dose of musical mischief, nostalgic tributes and wonderfully unexpected entertainment. Amy Winehouse Band will celebrate the music of the late British icon, while Elvana bring their brilliantly eccentric collision of Elvis Presley and Nirvana, and Stop Making Sense Live recreate the magic of Talking Heads’ legendary concert film. Joining the fun are Noasis, Wickedly Ariana, comedy folk favourites The Lancashire Hotpots, and returning Wychwood favourites Thrill Collins, alongside Woody Cook, Duke, Malavita, Late Night Headphone Ceilidh, The X & Y, Witney Soul Club, Hip Hop Karaoke, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, Play Your Cards Right and Tracey Collins Presents Fitbull, ensuring there’s never a dull moment from afternoon through to late night.

Fresh from being crowned Family Festival of the Year at the UK Festival Awards 2025, and shortlisted once again for an award this year, Wychwood continues to set the standard for inclusive, all-ages festival experiences. Beyond the music, the festival’s much-loved Village Green will host over 100 workshops and family activities, with a full programme still to be announced. From hands-on creative experiences and interactive entertainment to the festival’s dedicated Children’s Literature Festival, there will be something to discover around every corner. With under 10s going free, Wychwood remains one of the most accessible and welcoming festival weekends for families.

With sensational street food, idyllic camping beneath the Prestbury Hills and a famously welcoming atmosphere, Wychwood continues to grow while retaining the independent spirit and close-knit community that have made it a treasured tradition for families and music lovers alike. Following a record-breaking 20th anniversary which saw the festival expand to four days and welcome its biggest audience yet, demand for 2027 is already at an all-time high.

Wychwood Festival Managing Director Graeme Merifield said: “After an incredible 20th anniversary, we’re thrilled to return with another fantastic line-up led by Supergrass and The Human League, alongside so many favourites for all generations. It’s wonderful to see our community growing while retaining everything that makes Wychwood special. With our Sunday headliner and plenty more surprises still to come, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back next summer!”

Further announcements covering the Sunday headliner, comedy, arts, children’s literature and over 100 family activities will follow soon.
