Magic Summer Live add Chic ft Nile Rodgers and more!

Magic 105.4 and Live Nation are thrilled to announce that more fantastic acts have been confirmed to join Bryan Adams and Jamiroquai at Magic Summer Live 2013, taking place in Guildford’s Stoke Park on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 JulyChic featuring Nile RodgersBeverley Knight and Ocean Colour Scene have been added to the bill on Saturday 13 July and a further eight outstanding artists have been confirmed to perform across the weekend. Tickets are on sale NOWavailable at www.magicsummerlive.co.uk

On Saturday 13 July, joining headliner Jamiroquai (on what will be his only UK performance this year) and soul sensation Joss Stone, will be multi-million selling American disco stars Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, famed for tracks including ‘Le Freak’ and ‘I Want Your love’. Nile Rodgers extensive career has seen him collaborat with the likes of Madonna, David Bowie and more recently Daft Punk. Multi-award winning Beverley Knight and Britpop band Ocean Colour Scene will also be perfoming at the festival. Confirmed for the More Music Stage are Critizize’ singer Alexander O'Neil, British Reggae band Aswad, RnB trio Loose Ends, and Gwen Dickey's Rose Royce.

On Sunday 14 July The Real Thing will be bringing their hits, including ‘You to Me Are Everything’, to the More Music Stage alongside Disco sensation Heatwave and UK soul singers Jaki Graham and Omar. These artists will be joinging already announced headliner Bryan Adams, James Morrison, Squeeze, Level 42, The Overtones and Kim Wilde.

Offering local talent the chance to play alongside these fantastic artists, Andertons, The Boileroom and ACM (The Academy Of Contemporary Music) have recently announced a dedicated local stage ‘Surrey Sessions Stage’ . It will feature up and coming local musicians from Guildford with an open competition for artists to compete for a coveted spot for both days, entrants can apply via a video submission to a shared Youtube channel.  The successful artists will then be hand-picked via live performance heats which will take place throughout May and June at The Boileroom.

V Festival add Wretch 32, Gossip, The Feeling and more to lineup

Wretch 32Additionally, fans who weren’t lucky enough to snap up general admission tickets the first time around are being given another chance to head to the festival, with additional tickets to both Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Stafford going on sale at 9am on Friday 27th April.

Fans are encouraged to visit www.vfestival.com for all ticket options available, including coach and ticket packages available through the Big Green Coach company and V Style for those looking for a luxury festival experience. V organisers once again stress that fans should only purchase tickets through official outlets listed on the V Festival website and that purchasing from unofficial outlets could lead to disappointment.

Ahead of his appearance at V Festival, Wretch 32 says, "I'm buzzing to be back at V Festival again this year. Last year was big, and I'll be looking to top it this year by performing my new tracks to the V crowd. I will also be looking to get a little meet with Nicki Minaj…if I'm lucky!"

BeverleyKnight comments"It has been a while so I am chuffed to be back on stage at V this year. I have spent the last few years enjoying all the action as a punter. This year it's time to do what I do best – and that's rocking a crowd!”

The Stooshe girls comment, "Really looking forward to V Festival this year. We attended last year so to be performing this year is amazing! The line up iswicked and it feels great to be a part of it. So excited!”

Taking place across the weekend of the 18th and 19th August, music fanswill be treated to an exciting line up of legends old and new with the StoneRoses, The Killers, Nicki Minaj, Snow Patrol, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Tom Jones and Ed Sheeran also on the bill.

These latest additions come as V Festival also reveals which artists will be performing on which day and location over the festival weekend.
