The world renowned, award-winning and hugely influential Hospitality In The Woods is back for another bumper one-day celebration of all things Drum & Bass on Saturday 19th August 2023 at Beckenham Place Park. Every single facet of the sound will be showcased across five fantastically designed stages with headliners including Netsky, High Contrast, A.M.C Calibre, Roni Size, DJ Marky, Camo & Krooked, Goddard, LTJ Bukem, Metrik and many more.

Drum & Bass has always been about community, friendly faces and family vibes where everyone is welcome and that is at the heart of Hospitality In The Woods. This year for one day only everyone is invited to share in some sun kissed good times for Hospitality’s first ever mid-summer UK Saturday festival that is packed with musical goodness and sure to recapture the special magic of the last unforgettable event in 2021.

Several things have always stood Hospitality apart, namely in that the label has established itself as one of the international powerhouses of Drum & Bass and the fact it holds the biggest and best Drum & Bass festival in the UK, delivering the broadest musical offering of any of its counterparts. It takes place in a beautiful location with rolling green landscapes, a lush lake, giant mansion and ancient woodland that is easily accessible in London. It boasts the best sound levels and tastiest food options of any London festival.

Following the unfortunate news that ska-punkers RUSSKAJA have called it a day, and will therefore no longer be performing at BLOODSTOCK this summer, BLOODSTOCK is pleased to tell you who will be stepping into their slot… 

This enigmatic and experimental band formed in 2005 but it was eleven years before their debut ‘Audio Noir’ saw light of day through Deathwish Inc and exploded them into post-metal’s most respected echelons. Despite nods to Neurosis and Converge, this distinctive, atmospheric five-piece remain hard to pigeonhole, and continue to display their bone-crushing heaviness on latest album ‘Migration‘, which also features a guest spot from Cult Of Luna’s Johannes Persson on the single ‘Menhir‘. This Sophie Lancaster stage slot on Friday will be filled by none other than the mighty BOSSK!

BOSSK said, “It’s been a fair few years since we last played at Bloodstock. When we played the first time we were a little apprehensive about how we would go down at a predominantly fast metal festival, but the response was incredible. And even better the next time. To play in 2023 is going to be incredible, and to see the festival continue to grow is a great thing for the UK music scene. Thank you to everyone involved for having us back, we can’t wait. Epic Pool Parties Announce Lineups for Miami Music Week.

Epic Pool Parties are always one of the most talked about events of the Miami Music Week and this year the team returns to the glorious oceanside spot Sagamore Hotel with five days of musical fun. It’s a unique place to party with a luxurious pool and towering palms under a baking Miami sun, or stunning sunset as day turns to night. Each event has immersive production, effects and powerful sound systems with plenty of space to lounge about and soak up the vibes and art deco design.
This week’s run starts on March 22nd and goes until the always famous closer on March 26, 2023, during which time over 10,000 people will have their most memorable Miami experience. Playing the series are returning favourites, international DJs and influential brands Defected, DJ Mag, Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, Glitterbox and a world’s first back to back set between electronic icons Seth Troxler and Danny Tenaglia.
World leading dance music bible DJ Mag kick off the series on Wednesday March 22nd with one of their famously raucous parties featuring a cross section of house and sick talent from ACRAZE, Dombresky, Heidi Lawden, Jaden Thompson, Kasia, LP Giobbi, Mau P, Purple Disco Machine and Shermanology.
Defected bring the best names in house music on the 22nd with two exclusives in Ferreck Dawn b2b Low Steppa and Hannah Wants b2b Sam Divine, plus the one and only Idris Elba, Dutch innovator Prunk and Rimarkable.
Nick Warren’s stylish prog sounds provide a serene experience on Friday 24th with a superb line up featuring the boss himself next to a live show from house master Rodriguez Jr Live, a special back to back set from Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Jonas Rathsman, a garage, house and techno cross section from Francesca Lombardo and more from Oceanvs Orientalis, Mai Lawson and Armen Miran.
Saturday’s huge event features the pairing of two legends as Detroit’s Seth Troxler goes back to back with New York kingpin Danny Tenaglia so expect musical fireworks from these two deep diggers and masterful selectors. Also joining will be Victor Calderon, a cult figure from New York who has had a huge influence on the scene thanks to his electric and eclectic DJ sets.
Last but not least, the famously colourful and vibrant house and disco party Glitterbox takes care of Sunday with a super line-up that will soundtrack the always historic closing party. Leading the way is bona fide party starter Eats Everything, then comes Hot Honey Sundays founder and soulful house and disco talent Anna Collecta, Polish house stars Catz ‘N Dogz, Detroit legend and Women on Wax founder DJ Minx plus the life affirming sounds of The Shapeshifters and New York pair Musclecars, whose Colouring Lessons label and party is a mainstay of the scene

Our new partnerships with Trommel, Slapfunk, Toi.Toi.Musick, Outcast Turin, Jooice, Vesuvius Records, Anime and more, have allowed for a curated selection of the biggest names in the electronic music scene. These include our headliners Craig Richards, Francesco del Garda, Rhadoo, Sweely, tINI, Dyed Soundorom. One of the best mic men in the game in Manchester’s DRS will also be on stage to drop his deeply profound bars with a full band in support. He has been on records with all the greats such as Calibre, Marcus Intalex, Lynx, LTJ Bukem, Icicle and LSB so do not miss. Moovin resident Micky Finn plus the iconic Kenny Ken plus a host of local and upcoming bass heavy acts also play.
Hip hop legend Big Daddy Kane is one of the most requested and talked about acts to perform on the Barn Stage so makes a welcome return to do it all again this year. Other hip hop royalty to play include Chali 2Una from the iconic US outfit Jurassic5, plus local heroes and new school innovators Children of Zeus. 
Funk fans will be glad to hear that 6 Music tastemaker Craig Charles is back again this year, while anything goes when Mr Scruff digs deep into his vast collection. Expect on point world music, jazz and broken beat from the one and only Gilles Peterson, while Massive Attack’s Daddy G also drops plenty of beat-based knowledge and the hugely influential New Yorker Todd Terry serves up one of his house masterclasses.
Then there is the unequalled David Holmes who is famed for his left of centre mix of trip hop, big beat, electronic and rock, plus breakout Manchester star Anthony Szmierek who is a firm 6 Music favourite and introspective poet /hip-hop talent is certainly a name to watch out for plus the turn of Mungo’s HiFi with Eva Lazarus and the one and only Jamaican dancehall DJ and singer Sister Nancy. 
Breaks are well represented by pioneers Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Jaguar Skills, Krafty Kuts and Freestylers, and old school house comes from Hacienda Graeme Park while DJ Paulette, who also played the famous club and recently got a lifetime achievement award from DJ Mag, also lines-ups for an irresistible day of music.

‘Amnesia Presents’ Unveils Dates and Headliners

Monday at Amnesia will continue to be the talk of the island with the return of Gorgon City, Sonny Fodera & Danny Howard for their second year at the legendary club.
 
Amnesia Presents is the ultimate way to kick off the week in Ibiza, running for 15 dates from Monday June 19th until September 25th. You can expect to hear all forms of house music from these three authorities of the genre.
 
New Amnesias Presents resident Greta Levska will be opening the show each week, followed by Radio 1 tastemaker Danny Howard, with Gorgon City & Sonny Fodera alternating in the early hours slots each week.
Sonny Fodera caused a huge stir at the club last year and has continued to reach new heights with his ever popular releases and high energy DJ sets. He has racked up 250M global streams in the past year alone, with a string of massive singles planned for this year. ARCH ENEMY – You Will Know My Name – Bloodstock 2017 I absolutely love Arch Enemy, this video is such a great track with lots of energy. I would love to see them back at Bloodstock in 2024.

JUDAS PRIEST – Metal Gods – Bloodstock 2021 A very iconic moment when Glen Tipton came on stage for 3 tracks at Bloodstock 2021, Metal Gods is simply a classic. 
THE MIND CHANGER
DEVIN TOWNSEND – Full Set Performance – Bloodstock 2021 I confess I’ve never been a true Devin fan, but the 2021 performance was simply out of this world and has to be one of my favourite premieres on our channel to date.
THE TASTER
KREATOR – Terrible Certainty – Bloodstock 2021 I helped convince our band booker to have Kreator as a headliner in 2021 and what a great performance it was! To date a couple of the tracks have been shared, but I’m excited to reveal that their full set will be coming as a premiere in April! It’s a killer set, really looking forward to sharing this for everyone to enjoy!
THE UNMISSABLE
GOJIRA – Full Set Performance – Bloodstock 2016 What can I say… you gotta watch some Gojira, simply a band that creates masses of energy and gets the crowd moving. Their 2016 and 2018 performances at Bloodstock were amazing. 
THE EPIC
LAMB OF GOD – Full Set Performance – Bloodstock 2022 This Lamb Of God set just had to go online! I have watched it many times; it took a long time to get this approved – so thank you to the band and management for working with us to get this online, it’s a simply epic set.
THE SURPRISE
ORBIT CULTURE – Strangler – Bloodstock 2022 Because we’re busy working, I don’t get to watch all the bands live at the festival – but I do go through all the footage to choose which bands to put online. Orbit Culture were a band that simply blew me away, their sound and energy is just on another level –  they played the Sophie Lancaster stage, but I would love to see them on the main stage in the next few years.

In BLOODSTOCK merch news, you asked… and BLOODSTOCK has delivered! The festival’s very first plush S’tan toy is on the way, horns n’ all You can pre-order from the merch store on Friday 24th February here for dispatch by April 10th. For those quick off the mark, the first 200 S’tans ordered can be snapped up at a special intro price of £19.99, saving you a fiver on the normal retail. Here he is larking around with his new pal the Download Dog. Wonder what other adventures he’ll get up to and where he’ll be spotted next…?
Unfortunately, since BLOODSTOCK’s previous band announcement, ska-punkers RUSSKAJA have split up, and will therefore no longer be performing. Take heart, there are still lots of bands to be revealed in the coming weeks!

Last call! Time is running out to sign up for the very popular weekend ticket Deposit Scheme. If you’re keen, you must sign up before 28th Feb. With payments spread across 6 monthly instalments, it makes it much more manageable to pay for your standard weekend ticket. An initial payment of £34.50 is due upon sign up, then five additional payments of £27.50 will debit your bank account on 28 Mar, 28 Apr, 29 May, 28 Jun, with a final instalment on 28 Jul. Never been to BLOODSTOCK before and just want to come for a day to check things out? Can’t do the whole weekend this summer but don’t want to miss all the fun? A limited number of day tickets are on sale now in the ticket store. Adult day tickets are £75 and if you’d like to make it a family day out, child day tickets are £25 (mini moshers under 4 can come for free), plus booking fees. Want to come for the full weekend experience? VIP and campervan tickets are already sold out, but you can still get standard weekend tickets in the ticket store! If you’d like to stay onsite so you don’t miss a single minute of the action, camping is included! There’s also a  dedicated quiet campsite, sometimes preferred by those with junior headbangers and fans of a proper sleep.

Reggae Land Reveals Final Line-Up For Debut At The National Bowl in Milton Keynes

The final line-up includes a mouthwatering mix of reggae icons past, present and future with every facet of the vast sound showcased by the best in the scene. Last year’s family-friendly Reggae Land was such a success it was nominated in three different categories in the UK Festival Awards 2022. This year it expands to an epic new home The Milton Keynes National Bowl which is world renowned for hosting everyone from Queen to David Bowie.
This year, Reggae Land will be added to that history with a Reggae Flea market, a fairground, an entire Carnival Float stage along with dancers, VIP zone, festival merchandise, mouthwatering Caribbean Food Village as well as plenty of drinks in the Rum Shacks, Gin Bars and Caribbean cocktail bars from more than 50 carefully curated food outlets.

ARTBAT & Fred Lenix Deliver New Single “Dreamcatcher” on UPPERGROUND

UPPERGROUND unleashes its first ARTBAT release of 2023 which is an emotive and powerful collaboration with Fred Lenix, where they combined to create the haunting and dark single ‘Dreamcatcher’.
ARTBAT stride into 2023 in determined fashion as they deliver their new single ‘Dreamcatcher’ which is a collaboration with the up and coming Brazilian born, Turkey based artist Fred Lenix. Lenix who has not only been garnering support from the industry’s leading artists, has also become a welcomed addition to the UPPERGROUND family. He recently toured India with ARTBAT, which followed on from his very well received performances on previous label events, one of which was the recent showcase at New Year at Zamna in Tulum, where Dreamcatcher was first aired to an audience and created a sizable buzz, and this is now set to be another strong release for Fred Lenix, and the Ukrainian duo and their imprint.
‘Dreamcatcher’ is a dark and brooding powerful track with ominous and stark synths giving this a deep and harrowing musical feeling with the cyborg vocal delivering the finishing touch of a deep and profound journey from which you emerge energised.
