South West Four Arena Host’s announced

Past hosts have included Carl Cox & Friends, Bedrock, The Gallery, Boys Noize Records, Toolroom Knights and Global Underground. In 2011 we have accumulated our strongest arena hosts to date, all dedicated to showcasing the world’s greatest DJs and live electronic acts. How does one of the planet’s biggest records labels sound? Or how about two of Ibiza’s most legendary club nights? Here goes…

COCOON
Sven Vath’s legendary Cocoon label is the leading techno imprint on the planet. Since its creation in 2000, the label has thrown some of the most mind blowing parties club land has ever witnessed. This includes huge events the world over, astounding nights at the label’s own venue in Frankfurt and that’s all before we get to the antics that take place every Monday evening on a certain White Isle… Without doubt Ibiza’s biggest night, Cocoon at Amnesia has seen Pappa Sven and his cohorts change the electronic landscape and help bring techno to the masses. Only the unexpected can be expected when the Cocoon juggernaut hits Clapham Common this summer for its SW4 debut.

ANJUNABEATS presents GROUP THERAPY
As part of the global tour for their much anticipated second artist album, worldwide trance sensation and SW4 favourites Above & Beyond will be hosting a number of ‘Group Therapy’ stages at the biggest dance festivals in Europe this summer. Handpicking their favourite DJs and artists, Above & Beyond will also be playing extended sets at each event – showcasing the cutting-edge sounds of their ‘Group Therapy’ album. This includes Dance Valley, Tomorrowlands, Global Gathering and as the final piece to the puzzle at South West Four. Boasting an arena full of the biggest names in trance, we’re in for a treat as Above & Beyond bring some power packed melody and euphoria to South West Four.

SHAKE IT!
Arguably London’s finest underground house night, SW4 is delighted to welcome back Shake It! In 2009 the club night debuted on the Common, with residents Layo & Bushwacka! starring alongside Richie Hawtin, Steve Lawler, Timo Maas and Dubfire. Since then Shake It! has continued to host a succession of sell out parties which have taken London’s most discerning clubbers to the most impressive spaces imaginable. Attracting names such as Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier, Shake It! has become an institution in a very short space of time. Bringing the underground sounds to the great outdoors of Clapham Common for the second time, please welcome Shake It! to SW4.

WE LOVE…
We Love… is the greatest Sunday clubbing experience on the planet. Throughout the summer over 8,000 clubbers pack into Space Ibiza every week for a multi-room, mini-festival that is simply one of a kind. With an agenda focussed on showcasing cutting edge music from across the dance spectrum, We Love… are the perfect arena hosts for Sunday at SW4. At South West Four the much loved clubbing institution has curated the biggest lineup it has ever presented in London. With residents of the calibre of Simian Mobile Disco, Joris Voorn and James Zabiela, We Love… are associated with only the very best names in the business and this is what can be expected when We Love… arrives at South West Four.

TOGETHER
Together returns to Clapham Common this August after its unforgettable arena at last year’s South West Four. In 2010 Together welcomed an incredible selection of acts to the festival including Skream & Benga, Andy C, Jack Beats and Caspa. Since then the night has gone onto host a mammoth New Years Eve at the O2 Academy Brixton with Mark Ronson, Annie Mac, Katy B, Fake Blood, Hervé and Zinc. In 2011 Together returns to SW4, this time to take control of the larger 5,000 capacity arena with an even bigger lineup. Keep your ears open for this exciting announcement coming your way.

DRUMCODE
One of the most respected and seminal record labels in the industry, it is a great honour that Adam Beyer has chosen South West Four to host the next instalment of Drumcode in the capital. In 2010 the label took over the Ewer Street Car Park in London for a massive sell out event and a lineup featuring the likes of Chris Liebing, Paul Ritch, Cari Lekebusch, Alan Fitzpatrick and Beyer himself. The label’s uncompromising musical vision has also been welcomed across the four corners of the globe with the label’s annual pilgrimage to the Berghain in Berlin now part of techno folklore. With demand for Drumcode’s return to the Capital at an all time high, we’re delighted to welcome the underground heavyweight to South West Four for the label’s only London festival appearance this year.

Together NYE 10th Anniversary

On 31st December 2009 4500 clubbers packed out the Academy to the sounds of Simian Mobile Disco, Annie Mac, Chase & Status, Switch and Sub Focus. Twelve months later and the baton is passed to Together who have assembled a bigger and pound-for-pound better lineup to celebrate our 10th Anniversary.

2010 has been a truly magnificent year for Together having welcomed a whole host of world class talent to our events along the way. Our fifteen nights at The Coronet Theatre with the likes of The Bloody Beetroots, Vitalic, Kelis and Yoda were nothing short of spectacular, whilst our arena at South West Four on Clapham Common was unquestionably one of the highlights of the festival! We now turn our attention to the biggest night of the year as Together welcomes the most exhilarating lineup seen in the UK this NYE to the O2 Academy Brixton.

TOGETHER NYE – 1ST FIVE ACTS ANNOUNCED:
MARK RONSON, ANNIE MAC, FAKE BLOOD, HERVÉ & ZINC!!

Internationally recognised as one of the world’s finest DJs, producers, solo artists and band leaders, Together is delighted to welcome Mark Ronson to headline our 10th Anniversary. Having reinvented party-friendly hip hop with his debut album, followed by one of the defining albums of the second half of the Noughties, Grammy and BRIT Award winning artist Ronson returned to our airwaves this summer with the release of his third studio album, ‘Record Collection’. Featuring the likes of Simon Le Bon, Q-Bert and Spank Rock, the album extended Ronson’s esteemed list of collaborators, following in the footsteps of Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Adele and Daniel Merriweather. Fresh from winning the ‘Best Innovation in Sound’ title at the Q Awards and without doubt one of the most influential, inspirational and electrifying artists of the past decade, we feel Ronson is the man who will make Together’s New Years Eve celebrations go off with a Bang, Bang, Bang!

Having entertained us thoroughly at last year’s NYE at the Academy, the first lady of electronic music Annie Mac returns to Brixton with her melting pot of cutting edge sounds. The last twelve months has been outstanding for Annie as she continue to showcase new talent through her Radio 1 flagship dance show and international ‘Annie Mac Presents’ tours. Now unquestionably one of the biggest names on the dance music scene, we’re very excited to welcome Annie Mac back to the O2 Academy Brixton for yet another NYE showcase, this time for Together.

After his 12 months stint shrouded in mystery, Fake Blood has risen to become one of the most talked-about remixers and producers in dance music. His global crossover hits ‘Mars’, ‘Blood Splashing (Fake Blood Theme)’ and ‘I Think I Like It’ have been three of our favourite tracks from recent years, whilst his remixes for the likes of UNKLE, The Kills, Underworld, Armand Van Helden and Calvin Harris have been nothing short of exceptional. Arriving at the Academy for his Together debut, come and get a touch of blood!

A regular fixture at our events over the past twelve months, we welcome Hervé to Together’s 10th Anniversary. Having played storming sets at Brixton Academy last year New Years Eve as well as the main stage at this year’s South West Four it was only right we asked him back for more of the same. 2010 has proven to be Hervé’s most successful year to date having released two double-disc mixes and his debut album ‘Mega Mega Mega’ alongside Sinden (on which he appears as The Count). His label Cheap Thrills continues to set the pace in the electro scene, whilst his productions alongside Fatboy Slim and DJ Sneak have provided some of this year’s most memorable clubbing moments.

Completing the first wave of acts announced for Together’s NYE spectacular is DJ Zinc. Having already carved a legendary status for producing some of the scene’s biggest anthems such as ‘Super Sharp Shooter’ and ‘138 Trek’, Zinc in 2010 is leading the charge in producing and playing a new form of house, in the loosest sense of the term. Tracks such as ‘Nexx’, ‘Louder’ and the monumental ‘Wile Out’ are examples of his blatant disregard of genre blueprints and the fact that you can never be exactly sure of what’s coming next. Therein lies half the charm, the other comes in his ability to continuously devastate dancefloors the world over. Expect him to bring the house down when Together takes over Brixton Academy this New Years Eve.
