Inflyte launches groundbreaking new promo integration with Pioneer DJ’s rekordbox

The industry-standard pre-release promo platform Inflyte has recently announced an exciting new partnership with Pioneer DJ and it’s newly released rekordbox 6.0 application.
The partnership will see Inflyte become the only promo platform integrated with Pioneer DJ’s rekordbox, creating a seamless, super-efficient workflow for DJs and users of Inflyte.
Promos that users review on Inflyte either via email, dashboard or mobile, can now automatically appear as a music source in rekordbox alongside existing integrations Beatport, Soundcloud and iTunes. Downloadable tracks will be displayed with user’s ratings, favourited tracks and feedback. For Inflyte users who also take advantage of the platforms Dropbox integration, rekordbox can now auto-sync from their Inflyte Dropbox folder, creating an effortless music management user-experience.

Beatport Announce ReConnect Drum & Bass, Their First Genre-Specific Stream

Beatport, the world’s leading destination for electronic music, today announced that they will be running a third online music marathon, as part of it’s ReConnect series, and the first genre-specific of the series with a huge Drum & Bass line up on Saturday May 2nd. The line up includes 14 stellar D&B artists including Noisia (DJ Set), Black Sun Empire, Benny L, S.P.Y, Mollie Collins, DJ MARKY and more all playing from 2pm London time/6am PDT, AND will be raising money for the W.H.O Covid Solidarity fund.
The first two ReConnect events have been hugely successful fundraisers, with more than 23 million views and over $300,000 raised for COVID-19 relief efforts.

This special D&B edition features a DJ Set from key players Noisia as well as sets from the hottest names in the game such as Matrix & Futurebound, Bristol’s cult Roni Size, the innovative Black Sun Empire, Brazilian liquid legend DJ MARKY plus Benny L, S.P.Y, and more all playing from isolation.

In response to the coronavirus crisis, the DanceTelevision Network’s FREE online initiative, the #StayHomeFestival, aims to urgently support and share the World Health Organization’s call to the world for social distancing. After early events gained worldwide plaudits, a new series of streams including Analog Room, East London Movement, Athens Showcase, Francesca Lombardo presents Upper Hour, ReSolute Stays Home, The Zoo Project, Vatos locos featuring Hector, VQtv by Shaun Reeves and Armigé Agency are now revealed.

DanceTelevision dedicates its entire platform to #StayHomeFestival streaming FREE 24/7 content from renown artists, events, and labels in the scene. Despite being in lockdown, artists can continue to interact with their fans and reach out with positive messages to millions of new viewers around the world, and across a variety of the most popular shared networks online. The project invites artists, events, labels and fans to join in solidarity to raise public awareness and funds in support of the WHO and select NGOs that are critical in helping the music entertainment industry. Up first Detroit techno tastemaker and Visionquest label boss Shaun Reeves will kick off the VQ TV show on Sunday May 3rd at 8pm to 11pm CET on Stay Home festival. The showcase will be revolving around Shaun featuring guests from the Visionquest label and from his close circle.

Divided across 3 nights, May 14, 20 and 28 respectively, Armige Agency is showcasing their roster with contributions from Joeski, Alexi Delano, Animal Trainer, Demuir, Junior Sanchez, Joyce Muniz, Kevin Knapp, Pezzner, Sis and Supernova.

Friday the 15th we welcome the infamous Vatos locos with a surprise lineup with label boss Hector at the helm in a mission to maintain the traditions of a Marathon around the time where they usually get down at the infamous Sunwaves Festival.

On May 16th, Francesca Lombardo’s “Upper Hour” event series cherishes the daytime ‘after party’ vibe and is fundamentally about good music presented in a unique setting, with DJs completely free to explore the full range of their selector skills. Hito and Cesare vs Disorder join curator Lombardo for a three hour showcase.

Electronic Labor Day (ELD) Beirut is a three-day virtual electronic music festival from May 1st to 3rd led by Uberhaus in partnership with top electronic music institutions in Lebanon and alongside the Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafes, Nightclubs and Pastries in Lebanon. The three-day music marathon aims at raising funds for the non-managerial employees of the electronic music venues across Lebanon, who have been affected by COVID and the harsh economic circumstances associated with this pandemic. Parallells duo launch ‘A Day In ‘series with a fantastic first film from Essaouira in Morocco

The Parallells duo are proud to launch their A Day In series with a fantastic first film from Essaouira in Morocco, during Moga Festival. The film features a new and exclusive track “A Day In Essaouira” which will be available for purchase on Bandcamp and profits will go to the Associations Yerma Gnaoua and Issaouas in order to help Moroccan traditional musicians and their families to overcome the CV19 crisis.

Julien and Thomas de Bie, former students of the Academy of Music, grew up influenced by jazz and classical music and are now underground electronic stalwarts who are based in Amsterdam. They perform at major festivals such around the globe, manage Klassified Records and the Klassified Music Festival and have just opened “The House of Klassified” in Amsterdam; a creative hub for their artists combining: studios, recording facilities, an art gallery and co-working spaces.

With this ambitious new project, Parallells have taken their musical venture even further by discovering different cultures, tribes and their specific sounds. This episode is the first one of the video series “A Day In” where Parallells translate, through field recordings, a specific culture, city or country. It is said that “Music is the universal language” and Parallells aims to show how it connects people as well as showing the world’s beauty and use music as a force for change. This video was filmed by friend Arnaud Moro who does a remarkable job of capturing the process through his lens.

This last October, Parallells, Maalem Omar Hayat and his crotales players performed a unique show combining Gnawa music infused with electronic music. It came about as an initiative from Moga Festival called Moga Creation. Creating bridges between tradition and modernity, perpetuating the heritage of Essaouira, a city of mixed cultures, highlighting local creativity and hospitality, this project is what Moga Creation aims for.

Parallells rehearsed in the middle of Essaouira’s Medina, in a sacred place where the synergies were shivering when electronic music met traditional Gnawa’s rhythm and culture. After 3 days together, they played this memorable live at Moga Festival, a performance forever engraved in many people’s hearts.

Gnawa culture is a centuries-old Moroccan practice rooted in African rituals, Sufi traditions and music played with the guenbri, a type of lute with three strings, and steel castanets called krakebs or crotales. Gnawa refers to a “set of musical productions, fraternal practices and therapeutic rituals where the secular mixes with the sacred”

Essaouira is an exceptional example of a late-18th-century fortified town, built according to the principles of contemporary European military architecture in a North African context. Since its foundation, it has been a major international trading seaport, linking Morocco and its Saharan hinterland with Europe and the rest of the world.

Maalam Omar Hayat is delighted with this collaboration with Julien and Thomas, because it perfectly reflects the cultural exchange between Gnaoua music and electronic music. It was a truly unique experience with, as a highlight, this superb live performed at Moga festival, which perfectly symbolizes this alliance. “Moga création”. It is the DNA of Moga festival and a great opportunity to represent these different worlds in the hope of future collaboration, because it was really magic.

This is a fantastic way to launch this new video series which will breakdown borders between music, culture and people all over the world. Watch out for the second episode which finds the pair immersing themselves in the Huichol culture in the Mexican mountains later this year.

Agoria announces RE:Generation Day EP’S on Sapiens to support new and exciting talent during uncertain times.

Each of these producers has their own distinct sound, so have been chosen to put out a solo EP on Sapiens label. All four separate EPs drop on the same day under the Re:Generation banner with Henri Bergmann, Mooglie, Mozaïk and Parallells all featuring.

This innovative series is a way of Agoria shining a light on the next generation of talents and helping them to rise to the top in these very uncertain times we are facing.. Each of them has impressed him with their new music, and between them they cover plenty of essential electronic ground. 
Says the man himself, “I am convinced, more than ever, that a loud voice is needed to support artists and future leaders. I most probably became an activist when I had to strive to organise techno and rave parties, which forced me to stand up to the local authorities in order to create the Nuits Sonores Festival in Lyon, France. In that respect, the idea of Re:Generation Day emerged – a day dedicated to bringing four emerging artists to the front. I am fond of their music, and I hope, so will you be, and that somehow it will regenerate you.” 
Mooglie is a Parisian electronic music composer who draws on jazz, pop-rock, new wave and Italo disco. He is a formally trained guitarist and bassist with a real musical diversity. He proves that here with the escapist ‘Prelude’ which glows with lush synths and cosmic keys and sends shivers down your spine. ‘Monkey Disorder’ is then more punchy, with crisp hits and a rugged bassline powering it along. 
First up is the brotherly pair of Parallels, the Dutch duo who have headlined everywhere from Burning Man to DGTL and also manage Klassified Records as well as regularly exploring unusual places like a factory, hospital or ski resort then transform their recordings into their slick electro sounds. Here they link with Abundance for ‘Blooming Flower’, a beautifully organic house track with wooden hits and thoughtful piano chords draped over deep and rolling drums. 
Next is the brotherly pair of Mozaïk, who make ethnic and melodic music with bewitching synthesisers lines and powerful drums on labels such as Madorasindahouse, Radiant and Plaisirs Sonores Records. They kick off with ‘Mavembe’, a dramatic track with raw percussive energy, exotic vocal sounds and big, driving bass and sweeping synths that lift you off your feet. ‘Rica’ then offers  a deeper and purposive house groove that surges into the night with all sorts of samples, keys and glassy textures lighting it up while an instrumental strips it back to more melody focussed house. 
Henri Bergmann is a house and techno producer recently signed to Watergate’s DJ roster having got big support for her melodic sounds from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show and Mixmag, with standout DJ shows at places like Glastonbury. He offers up ‘Creature’, an epic house track with expansive pads and chords that rise up to the heavens. The shimmering percussion and an angelic vocal then add to the sense of grandeur and make this a real modern classic.  
These EPs are a fantastic showcase of some exciting new talents that all bear the emotional and melodic hallmarks that have made Agoria such an icon.

BEATPORT ANNOUNCES LANDMARK “PRODUCER CHALLENGE” COMPETITION

Carrying on Beatport’s 16-year tradition of fostering the growth of the electronic music community, the Beatport Producer Challenge will scour the world for 50 producers on the cusp of greatness.  Partnering with Loopcloud and Plugin Boutique from Loopmasters, LANDR, iZotope, and Roland Cloud, the Beatport Producer Challenge will create a path to notoriety for talented producers across Beatport’s ten most popular music genres. Utilizing the diverse platforms and software available from Loopcloud, Plugin Boutique, LANDR, iZotope, and Roland Cloud, aspiring producers will have until Monday, May 11, 2020, to create a wholly original piece of music to enter into the competition. Winners will be awarded highly-prized software and subscriptions, totaling over $100,000 in value from these great  partners, as well as having their tracks prominently featured and promoted on Beatport.com. Big City Beats flagship World Club Dome in Frankfurt (June 3-6, 2020) was directly affected by the stunning but understandable news. BigCityBeats supports Eintracht Frankfurt’s “On Now” campaign

 

BigCityBeats has thrown its full weight behind the Eintracht Frankfurt campaign “On Now”, and in doing so hopes to inspire many more donations to five German institutions playing an integral role in the fight against the Coronavirus. These five institutions are still in urgent need of your continuing support. BCB visionary CEO Bernd Breiter said: “We heard about Eintracht’s campaign “ Now ” and as a respected Frankfurt institution, and also as Eintracht fans, wished to lend our support. Through our channels we can help broadcast the positive message of Eintracht out into the world, ensuring that even more people hear Eintracht’s call and offer their support to those affected by the Corona crisis.” 

 

At the beginning of the week The Hessian Football Association revived its “On Now – In Harmony” campaign. With the aim of helping people directly affected by the Corona crisis. As part of the campaign Eintracht is proud to support: The DRK (German Red Cross), The Diakonie Hessen, L’Arche, The Tafel and the University Hospital Frankfurt. Each of these charitable organisations is struggling to cope with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This Saturday (April 18 2020) rather than kicking off with a referee’s whistle, banging beats will instead echo around the stadium! At 4pm Gestört aber GeiL along with special guest SDP (plus Capital Bra producer set) will be in complete control of the magnificent and luscious greens of the stadium. Following on at 5pm, BCB superstar and resident DJ Le Shuuk will be mixing the decks. The entire stream will be transmitted live, via 4k drone cameras, on all Big City Beats social media channels. National newspaper ‘The Bild’ has also offered its support by promising to live stream the event. And at 6:00 p.m we head over to the rooftop of BigCityBeats HQ, for another 7.5 hours of club music from Frankfurt and beyond. Amongst the stellar line-up is DJ Soda live from Korea, Ummet Ozcan live and direct from the Netherlands, Vini Vici from Tel Aviv and David Guetta broadcasting live from Miami.

This 3 day, artist filled, tech-fueled event will be to 100% benefit the Whet Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund. “This pandemic has certainly hit home for me and the #GCFAM community.” Says Jason Beukema founder and creator of Whet Travel, Groove Cruise, and Whet Foundation. “We’ve heard stories of hardship from people coming down with serious complications from the virus, a doctor in San Diego in ICU for the past 2 weeks, parents who have been lost, nurses still working and risking their lives every day without proper protective gear and obviously many jobs lost. We must do something to help. And this grass roots effort will provide some relief for those sorely in need right now. I urge anyone experiencing a hardship to apply for a grant from the Relief Fund and we will do everything we can to help.” 

 

The Whet Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund will ease the financial burden of artists experiencing hardships, “Captains” who have sailed with Whet Travel, health workers keeping us safe, former employees, contractors, and partner companies that have laid off employees, and that of our extended friends and family. The COVID-19 Relief Fund provides tax-free funds for any number of hardships; including unanticipated healthcare costs, rent or mortgage payments, utility expenses, food, medicine, and other necessities. Anyone experiencing hardships during this pandemic are able to apply for the grant program application directly on the Groove Cruise website. 

 

Beginning on Friday of this week, the Groove Cruise Virtual Sail Aways live stream event will feature 20+ artists coming from the electronic music industry in order to raise money for the Whet Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund. Major talent such as Roger Sanchez, Gene Farris, Qrion, Cocodrills, Offaiah, Fatum, and more will be virtually performing, many of whom have all played overseas on previous Groove Cruise events. Alongside an array of electronic music, the show will also feature both hip hop and disco parties. This online event will even include three costume themes, Tiger King, MASKquerade, and House Music Apocalypse, for viewers to dress up at home and share amongst each other on Whet Travel’s interactive Zoom chat room.

  • WHO:  Anyone experiencing hardship can apply for a Grant. Artists are current, past, and future Groove Cruise Family coming together to support a transparent and legit cause with 100% of every dollar donated going to support those affected. 
  • WHAT: The Whet Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund Groove Cruise Virtual Sail Aways live stream charity event will feature artists from all over the world, performing from locations such as London, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and more; plus live visuals will be added to simulate a real in-person show. The Whet Foundation is a 501c3 that was started 8 years ago and all donations are tax deductible.

Up to 500 #GCFAM are able to video chat, dance, and watch the Groove Cruise Virtual Sail Aways together in their costumes on the platform.
