Even more acts announced for Bestival!

The clock is ticking and The Future is very nearly here. With just over two weeks until Bestival 2016’s psychedelic adventures begin we give you even more amazing musical greats who will take you on wild, harmonic excursions and keep you reaching for the lasers long into the night at the greatest party on the planet this September on the Isle of Wight.

Ensuring dancefloor devastation of a truly futuristic kind, we are delighted to announce that super-beat ninja Jaguar Skills will be stepping up to the ones and twos at Robin Hill for a trademark tear up that is destined to take us to a new dimension in space and time. We’ll also have performances from musical polymath Ashworth, our old muckers Bugged Out with their Little Bugger, seductive sonic types Cirque Du Soul, classic house legend Joe Smooth, wigged-out wonder Justin Robertson Scottish alt-poppers Kid Canaveral, infectious disco divas Nimmo, Chicago don Roy Davis Jr, genre-skirting trio Strong Asian Mothers and vowel-phobic punks SWMRS.

 

Don’t miss Manchester rave legends A Man Called Adam, Canadian folk troubadour Aidan Knight, slick pop siblings Ardyn, Strobewax co-founder Bobby O’Donnell and Oxford’s own Burt Cope. Make Noise stage comes to OnBlackheath

A whole host of artists and DJs have been added to the bill for OnBlackheath 2015, in partnership with John Lewis, which will take place in South East London on Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 September. European Recycling Platform will be bringing the first ever stage for Make Noise (the UK's only electronic recycling club night) to the festival across the weekend with a special DJ set from Erol Alkan and Tom Findlay (Groove Armada). OnBlackheath are also very excited to announce the launch of the Meantime Sessions Stage which will feature the likes of Chris Holland All Stars ft. Roland Gift, The Rude Vandals plus PlayOnBlackheath 2014 competition winner Rhys Lewis.

South East London 9-piece band Chainska Brassika have also been announced to open the Main Stage on the Sunday of the festival with Tropical Dope DJ-ing in-between each artist on the day. Tickets on sale NOW and available from www.onblackheath.com.

Make Noise, the UK's only electronic recycling club night, are proud to announce their first ever-festival stage at this year’s OnBlackheath. The stage will feature their biggest ever line up with Tom Findlay(Groove Armada), Greg Wilson and Moxie who will be performing on the Saturday with Erol Alkan, Justin Robertson, Hannah Holland and DJ AntZ on the Sunday, with more acts still to be announced soon.

On Saturday, The Meantime Sessions will also feature artists including Summer Camp, RIVRS, CROWS, MOTH TRAP, The Pearl Hearts, Bad For Lazarus and DJ Boris McNab. Alongside Chris Holland All Stars ft. Roland GiftThe Rude VandalsHollie Cook, Brassroots and Rhys Lewis the Sunday will also feature The Mighty CosmicsBruise plus DJs Diaz Brothers.

These artists join already announced headliners Elbow (Saturday) and Madness (Sunday) plus Manic Street Preachers, Kelis, Laura Mvula, Anna Calvi, Jack Savoretti and the cast from ‘Sunny Afternoon: The Kinks Musical’. Heavenly & Friends Stage will feature Temples, 808 State and Stealing Sheep. The Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Stage will have the likes of Clap! Clap!, Seun Kuti, Eska and many more on the Sunday.

Lounge on the Farm add Sean Hughes, Phil Kay, DJ Format and more!

Lounge on the Farm is pleased to confirm Sean Hughes and Phil Kay for their 2011 Comedy Tent. Irish born Hughes, a veteran on the stand up circuit and known for his appearances on panel shows (Never Mind The Buzzcocks) will bring his dark humour down to Canterbury in July.  Phil Kay, a TV writer for the likes of Reeves & Mortimer, Harry Hill and Jonathan Ross will also be performing stand up at the festival.    
 
Alongside these exciting new additions, Lounge on the Farm have confirmed a wealth of new acts for the Meadows Bar including DJ Format, British producer Justin Robertson, the founder of Dub Pistols Barry Ashworth and Adrian Sherwood & Congo Natty aka Rebel MC and ComfyPorn who will play the closing set on Sunday night. LA afropop collective Fools Gold have also been announced for the line up alongside the up and coming artist Gwilym Gold. British duo Smoke Fairies, with their blend of dark blues-folk will be headlining the Folk Stage on Friday evening.
 
Forward thinking London promoters Urban Nerds have also been recruited as an official partner for The Cow Shed, they will bring their bass heavy atmospherics on the Saturday night.
 
As previously announced – The Streets, Ellie Goulding and Echo & The Bunnymen are confirmed as main headliners for the July festival.  Example, Katy B, Graham Coxon, Annie Mac, Everything Everything, Jamie Woon, The Joy Formidable, The Vaccines, Johnny Flynn and Cornershop will all be joining them.
 
The festival is also pouring energy into its newest stage addition the Meadows Stage. Joined by the Furthur team, whose visual stylings are notoriously unique and fresh, this collaboration sees a true union of creative forces and is bound to sum up contemporary Canterbury in a whirlwind of fun and frolics amongst the maize.
 
One of the most successful Canterbury bands, prog rock legends Caravan have also been confirmed for the festival, with the re-release of the seminal album In the Land of Grey and Pink due this summer, they will play the new Meadows stage.
 

Having carved itself out a niche as a festival known for its unique location on a real life, working farm (with real animals roaming about), plus a strong focus on delicious food, family friendly atmosphere and reputable line-up, Lounge on the Farm Festival will double its capacity in 2011 to 10,000 people and also cement itself as one of the key boutique UK festivals for the summer. At just 55 mins on a train from Kings Cross, this is an easy festival to get to for Londoners and is fast securing the hottest line up of the summer.
