LoneLady, Rozi Plain and more added to FarmFestival 2015

LoneLady is the latest rising star to be added to the increasingly impressive line up at Farmfestival's 10th birthday celebrations in Somerset this summer.

The Warp Records artist has recently completed a UK tour to promote her electrifying sophomore album Hinterland, a scintillating slice of pop which has impressed critics and fans of BBC 6music alike.

Further additions to Farmfest's big birthday party include Wah Wah 45s' The Gene Dudley Group bringing their deep soul and funk flavour, orchestral indie-folk courtesy of Moulettes, talented songstresses Toyface and Rozi Plain plus Glasgow's latest prodigies C Duncan and Jonnie Common. A whole host of South West talent has also been added.

Farmfest’s sterling DJ line-up also expands to welcome Appleblim B2B OctoberFutureboogie, Outboxx, Apiento (Testpressing.org), The Boogie Cartel and Dom Servini (Wah Wah 45s)

The summer of 2015 will see Farmfest turn the ripe old age of 10 and as you would expect they will be going big on the celebrations – expect giant party games, overblown site decorations, enormous cake and massive fancy dress. The celebrations will see plenty of special events, new stages and one or two surprises which are being kept firmly under the Farmfest hat.

FarmFestival 2014 dates and earlybird ticket details

Tickets are now on sale for Farmfest 2014, but make sure to double check your calendar before seizing upon the most notoriously value for money festival tickets that the summer has to offer.

This year Farmfest will be taking place on the new and improved dates of Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of August.

Very limited Super Early Bird tickets are an absolute snip at just £42.50 with no booking fee.

A family saver ticket has been introduced this year, which gives a 10% discount to 2 adults with 2 x 12-17 year olds (under 12s are still free). Other improvements for families will include an expanded family/quiet camping area, which will be situated further from the general camping, with dedicated campsite crew to aid and assist over the weekend.

In 2014 the festival will not be expanding it's size in order to preserve the unique and intimate atmosphere.

Farmfestival announce more names and songwriting competition!

Farmfestival are renowned for championing new music so this year they are offering the prize of a slot at the festival to anyone who can come up with a spark of lyrical genius this summer.

Your task to win the prize is to write and film a song which includes farm/farmfest/farmfestival in its title or lyrics. This can take the form of a cover, twisted to fit the brief or a totally original piece – the more inventive and relevant to the festival, the better!

Entries need to be filmed and uploaded to youtube/vimeo and posted to Farmfestival Somerset on their Facebook page by June 24th.

Judging will be based on inventiveness with the theme, and songwriting. Social media interaction, comments and plays will also come into consideration, as a sign of fan engagement.

For full competition details visit:

The festival have also announced Bristol talent, Mr.Woodnote, Lil Rhys & Eva Lazarus, and One Shot reggae. Plus folk rocksters, Babeshadow, back with a new album after supporting Florence + The Machine and The Drums on The Cosmic Love Tour in 2010.

Mr Woodnote's loop pedal Saxophone shows are becoming local legend. Creating every track from scratch, no 2 shows are ever the same. For Farmfestival, he'll be teaming up with Lil Rhys and Eva Lazarus, who'll be dropping their distinctive vocal flavours into the mix to maximum effect!

These acts along with the previously announced Crazy P Soundsystem replace The Skints, who sadly cannot play this year due to a booking error beyond our control.

To celebrate the final lineup announcement, Farmfestival have released the first in their new Dj mix series. 'Beats n Bleats Volume 1' is a sunshine inducing vinyl only affair by Bristol based Paulo Fernandez. It'll sure put a smile on your face.
