COUNTDOWN TO BLOODSTOCK!

There’s just 41 days to BLOODSTOCK 2021! We’re counting down the hours before Catton Park opens the gates to the biggest – and longest, at 5 days – metal party of the year!   First we have some bad, but also, good news!

A few more international bands are experiencing issues with travel and logistics and have had to cancel, but we’ve secured some fantastic replacements from UK shores.  Unfortunately, Thursday’s Sophie Lancaster stage headliner, The Night Flight Orchestra now cannot make it, but Brit metal legends, LAWNMOWER DETH step in to save the day. They tell us; “We are truly sorry you’re not going to get Night Flight Orchestra. They’re terrific and awfully melodic. Naturally as the B-TEC replacement for them, we sound exactly the same, so your disappointment should be somewhat abated. Just think melodic Swedish hard rock, with balloons. However, the chance to get in a field, well a tent, with you lovely lot and some beer, did we mention beer, is the bar open yet? BLOODSTOCK, we’re coming! At our age, slightly slower, but we’ll be there. Bring beer. And dancing shoes. And beer. Love LMD. x”

Stepping into Soen’s slot on Friday’s Sophie stage are sonic heavyweights, CONAN. The British three-piece tell us “We return to Bloodstock, dead eyes ablaze, breath like frost in our lungs as we arise from our slumber. From a lake of frozen souls, all hail CONAN!”  Check out the doomtastic video for ‘Volt Thrower’, taken from their 2018 album, ‘Existential Void Guardian’ and prep for maximum heaviosity at Catton Park next month from this unholy trinity.

Replacing Lost Society on Friday’s Ronnie James Dio main stage, are BLOODSTOCK New Blood stage alumni, DIVINE CHAOSBLOODSTOCK loves helping New Blood bands level up, so are thrilled to offer DIVINE CHAOS the opening main stage slot on Friday! The band tell us; BLOODSTOCK is woven into the very fabric of DIVINE CHAOS. Having had the pleasure of playing both the Sophie Lancaster and New Blood Stages, not to mention countless messy weekends as attendees, we are beyond delighted to have the opportunity to play on the Ronnie James Dio stage, long considered the holy grail of UK underground metal. We’re eternally grateful for the faith that the BLOODSTOCK crew has put into this band over the years, and can’t wait to showcase ‘The Way to Oblivion’ on the greatest of stages.”

Also replacing Savage Master in Friday’s RJD Stage opening slot are British metal collective, LOTUS EATER. The band’s debut album, ‘Where The Body Goes’ is set for release later this month via Hopeless Records and features their ferocious new single, ‘Obliterate’, featuring a guest slot by Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon.

Thrash beasts SHRAPNEL replace Noctem on Friday’s Sophie stage. The band inform us, “It’s been a long, crazy year, but we can’t think of a better way of getting back to business than playing at BLOODSTOCK! It’s the 20th Anniversary, and our first time at BLOODSTOCK with our new line up, so it’s going to be a special one. We can’t wait to finally blast some of ‘Palace For The Insane’ for you, and we’ll see you in the pit!”. In the meantime, warm up your necks with some ‘Winds of Slaughter,’ taken from that same album.

While Blasphemer also had to cancel, NECRONAUTICAL bring their British black metal wares into their spot on Sunday’s Sophie Stage. Frontman/guitarist Naut tells us, “We are thrilled to be granted the opportunity to perform at this year’s BLOODSTOCK. After over a year in wait, it will be an incredible experience to meet with the fans for our return, and right before the release of our new album “Slain in the Spirit”! In spite of the short time to prepare, we guarantee the audience at this year’s BLOODSTOCK an epic and immersive Black/Death metal experience they will not soon forget! See you at the Sophie stage on Sunday night!”.  Also check out the video for ‘Hypnogogia’, taken from their upcoming album, ‘Slain In The Spirit’, set for release in late August.

Last but not least, dark metal squad, SPECTRAL DARKWAVE join Sunday’s Jager stage line up. Describing themselves as “a hi-definition musical tour of human horror in sonic technicolour”, you know you’re in for something unique! If you’re as yet unfamiliar with the band, check out their 2019 video for ‘A Toll Is Due’ and make your own mind up.

In after hours entertainment news, the legendary VIP Area ‘Silent Disco’ is returning in an expanded format! VIP-ers will still get their Silent Disco on Friday and Sunday in the Serpents Lair tent, but on Thursday and Saturday, the Silent Disco will kick in from 11pm until 2am over in the New Blood tent. Headsets are at limited capacity, so availability is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. There’ll be two channels, DJ Rich Harris (Total Rock, Desertfest) will be manning the metal/rock channel and DJ Lloyd Rust (Bearded Theory, Truck Festival) will be spinning the cheese on the pop/disco/dance channel. Expect Vader to Vengaboys, Machine Head to Madonna; one channel permanently playing metal & alternative and the other playing all your guilty pleasures from the 1950’s to present day.

On 9th July, our friends at PLANET ROCK RADIO are launching a BLOODSTOCK radio pop-up station showcasing music from many of this year’s acts like Judas Priest, Kreator and The Wildhearts, as well as others from BLOODSTOCK’s past such as Slayer, Nightwish, Machine Head, Gojira, etc to celebrate BLOODSTOCK’s 20th Anniversary. The channel will run for 3 months and is available on Planet Rock’s premium app, the Planet Rock Radio website and via smart speakers. Fans can get a month’s free subscription to Planet Rock Premium (in addition to a 7-day free trial period) using the code ‘Bloodstock’. Start your BLOODSTOCK party early by tuning in from next Friday! More info here.
BLOODSTOCK’s 2021 main stage headliners are DEVIN TOWNSEND (Friday), KREATOR (Saturday), and JUDAS PRIEST (Sunday). The festival will also feature sets from SKINDRED, PARADISE LOST, BURY TOMORROW, DIAMOND HEAD, THERAPY?, VENOM PRISON, JINJER, VIO-LENCE, SAXON, THE WILDHEARTS, GLORYHAMMER, DARK TRANQUILLITY, BLEED FROM WITHIN, NAPALM DEATH, PHIL CAMPBELL & THE BASTARD SONS, MEMORIAM, RAMAGE INC., GREEN LUNG, CONJURER, ORANGE GOBLIN, RAGING SPEEDHORN, UNLEASH THE ARCHERS, SYLOSIS, WINTERFYLLETH, HACKTIVIST, THE CRAWLING, EVIL SCARECROW, ACID REIGN, SVALBARD, BORSTAL, PIST, SHARKS IN YOUR MOUTH, SEIDRBLOT, MOTHER VULTURE, BLOODSHOT DAWN, and EVILE, with more still to be announced.

Standard weekend tickets for the extended, now 5-day event in 2021 remain under a temporary price freeze at £145 (+ booking fees). In addition, child tickets and parking tickets for 2021’s event are available now at the ticket store, as well as a limited number of day tickets for Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun. Wednesday’s fun remains exclusively for weekend ticket holders. VIP and campervan tickets for 2021 are sold out.

Pyramid Ibiza Announces Closing Party ft. Ricardo Villalobos & Luciano, Nina Kraviz, Dax J, KiNK

Terraza

Ricardo Villalobos & Luciano, KiNK (live), Mar-T

Club

Nina Kraviz, Dax J, Anetha and Luca Donzelli

As Ibiza is added to the safe travel list, Amnesia continues to announce its much anticipated season in reverse. Next up is Pyramid’s sure-to-be historic 2021 closing party on Sunday, October 10th. This always legendary event will be headlined on the Terraza by firm favourites Ricardo Villalobos & Luciano, KiNK (live), Mar-T, and in the Club by Nina Kraviz, Dax J, Anetha and Luca Donzelli. Despite the current pandemic, Amnesia has worked hard to pull together two rooms of the world’s most elite DJing stars. This Pyramid closing party is proof of that, but there is much more to come in August, September and October.

In just a few short years, Pyramid has shaken up the Ibiza landscape. The Monday night party moved to Sundays in 2020 with some mega line-ups that sadly never came to be. But before that, it had already recaptured some of the island’s early glory days with a focus on the music first and foremost. At Pyramid, people are there to dance until the sun comes up and beyond. The night is synonymous with only the most globally acclaimed DJs and loved for its mind-blowing production. Each party is a sensory explosion with cutting-edge technology, organic materials and immersive audiovisuals that truly offer something unique. After too long away because of the pandemic, this closing show is sure to be a celebration like no other.

Fittingly, then, the world’s most iconic DJs will headline the famous Terraza. Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano have already sold out their show at Cova Santa, and are official Pyramid ambassadors. They will play together for a set of mind-warping techno that will show off the dexterous DJ skills and unpredictable selections that have made them real Pyramid favourites. Joining them is Bulgarian live wizard KiNK, who cooks up electrifying sets of impromptu techno on his vast array of synths and drum machines. It is one of dance music’s most amazing spectacles and cannot be missed. Lastly comes Mar-T, the long-time Amnesia resident, a DJ who knows the club’s crowds and sounds inside out, and who never fails to amaze.

In the Club is new school techno queen Nina Kraviz. The DJ, producer and Trip label boss has innovated the techno world in recent years and can do anything from deep, pulsing, acid-laced rollers to raved-up sounds that leave the dance floor in awe. Dax J is a London-born, Berlin-based artist who is the quintessential DJ in every sense. The Monnom Black label boss has a famously raw and individual take on techno that never lets up. Meanwhile, Anetha is a Parisian techno mainstay and Blocaus resident who has risen to the top with her forward thinking sounds. Lastly, Italian Luca Donzell is of course the second Amnesia resident known the world over for lighting up the world-famous super club with his storytelling sets of house and techno.

The Pyramid closing party is one of the real must-attend events in Ibiza. After the 18 months everyone has had, this one is set to be even more special than ever before.

One World Festival & Rave ln The Park Join Forces For Huge Post-Covid Rave This July

‘5 INCREDIBLE STAGES OF MUSIC ON ONE BRAND NEW FESTIVAL SITE’

Following the latest government announcement, One World Festival is moving to 31st July and teaming up with Rave In The Park to bring you an even better and more complete experience. In the event of further delays, tickets will automatically be rolled over, or can be refunded on request.

One World Festival will make history as the first-ever event in a brand new location set in 1200 acres of rolling green landscape in the outskirts of London inside the M25. Every single detail of this debut festival has been painstakingly designed to make for the perfect musical experience. The eclectic and world-class line-up features five spectacular stages hosted by the likes of Art E Fect, Audio Rehab, Un-Mondo, Feel the Fruit and the newly added Rave In The Park, with headliners Steve Lawler, Mark Radford, GW Harrison, Devstar, Sam Supplier, Carnao Beats, Marcus Nasty, Art E Fect, Nightshift, Andy Mills, Sooney and many more.

One World Festival was born from the fallout following the demise of the live event industry during the Covid 19 pandemic. Upon the realisation that dance music would not be returning to clubs for some time, a group of close friends, brand owners and DJ/producers from the industry came together to create a new festival concept in a unique and all new outdoor location. And the event has since grown even stronger, linking up with Rave in The Park to make this the ultimate post lockdown celebration, with more essential DJs and world class sounds added to the already incredible line-up.

Says Andy Mills of Rave In The Park: “A festival is fundamentally a rave in the park. We are incredibly excited to be teaming up with One World Festival, a partnership that will elevate both events and deliver the best possible experience to the ravers who are desperate to get in a big field and dance again.“

The festival will feature a main stage marquee, three tunnel stages, a VIP marquee and three large bar areas. The site will also include a funfair as well as a selection of local traders, vendors and food stalls. It will boast world-class audio-visual technology, including neon bars mounted within screens, huge LED screens, Pioneer DJ equipment and a KV2 large outdoor stack system for next-level sound. There is also a camping area and all other amenities essential for world-class outdoor festivals including local traders offering plenty of bespoke and boutique goodies.

A key mantra for One World Festival is to support the emerging industry wherever possible. Helping artists and brands on their own journeys is a key part of that. The underground and upcoming scene is the lifeblood of the industry, and One World is setting out to support it at every turn, with each of the five stages featuring a carefully curated line-up comprising some of the very best DJs and producers in house, tech house and UKG, as well as a considered selection of up-and-coming artists.

Each of the stages as well as the VIP stage will be hosted by a different key brand partner. Hosting the main stage will be Art e Fect, who’s core ethos is about mixing legends with the next generation of talent. Pre-pandemic, the brand had a residency at London’s iconic EGG Club and is now ready to get back to doing what they do best. The newly added Rave In The Park was born this year amid all the uncertainty surrounding the music industry as a whole. While this would have been the brand’s first festival, the team behind it has over 25 years experience in putting on events and performances, with some huge future plans that are sure to cement its legacy over the coming years as they strive to deliver some of the best events across the country.

Underground house label Audio Rehab is the brainchild of influential DJ and producer Mark Radford and has spawned its own sub-genre of lights-out, bass heavy house music. Un Mondo, headed up by DJ GGB aka Glen Butcher, is a collective of DJs and producers with over 25 years experience serving up atmospheric vibes to the ravers. Finally, Feel The Fruit will bring their house, tech and classics sound to the VIP stage, having hosted sold out events all over London and Essex.

With its great attention to detail and focus on emerging talent as well as international names, One World Festival is a vital new addition to the UK summer.

Tickets range from £25 and are available here: https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Enfield/One-World-Festival/one-world-festival/35839351/

The History of Cova Santa

Ibiza is an internationally recognized destination thanks to its cultural richness, its natural beauty, its ties with the history of music and it being a benchmark of excellence in areas like hospitality and gastronomy. Cova Santa has all these characteristics, has a cultural and historical background, is located in an environment of unquestionable beauty and has a gastronomic offering that stands out for its avant-garde spirit.

Cova Santa can be seen from the road that goes from Ibiza to Sant Josep at kilometre 7. Immersed in the side of a Mediterranean mountain of pine trees and junipers, Cova Santa is witness to the passage of different civilizations and cultures that permeated the place with mysticism, spirituality, and cosmic energies. A refuge for pirates, smugglers, holy men and a meeting point for the hippie community.

In 2001 when the AMNESIA Group bought Cova Santa, its priority was the conservation of the cave and the improvement of its access, always with the advice of geologists and technicians, so their visits are very restrictive. In addition to the conservation work, the AMNESIA Group opted for a conceptual and aesthetic transformation, generating a multidisciplinary space from which to stimulate all the senses. An incomparable landscape, exotic gardens full of vegetation distributed in terraces at various levels, spacious and equipped spaces for restaurants and gastronomy, decorated with exotic oriental furniture and a complete indoor party room.

Do Not Sleep Announces Unmissable 2021 Closing Party at Amnesia Ibiza w/ Patrick Topping, Paul Woolford, Cinthie and more

Date: 12.10.21

Venue: Amnesia, Ibiza

Tickets

TERRACE

Patrick Topping, Paul Woolford and Gerd Janson, Cinthie

MAIN ROOM

Archie Hamilton, Sidney Charles and Chris Stussy b2b S.A.M.

Amnesia Ibiza continues to announce its long-awaited 2021 season in backwards order with news of it’s always unforgettable Do Not Sleep Closing Party on October 12th. This year’s much-needed celebration will be headlined by house and techno tastemakers Patrick Topping, Paul Woolford, Cinthie and Gerd Janson on the Terrace, and Archie Hamilton, Sidney Charles and Chris Stussy b2b S.A.M.

Do Not Sleep launched in 2014 and immediately changed the Ibiza landscape with a non-conformist attitude exemplified by its ‘straight through crew’ mantra and hashtag. The party’s firm focus on young, fresh talents and music-first, underground-only vibes also stands it apart. Initially a nomadic party in hot demand at Space, Pacha and Privilege, it eventually set up a more lasting home at the globally renowned Amnesia. This year the brand will be on a mini world tour, hosting club events and festival stages all over the globe, always with the hottest house and techno acts providing the sounds.

This closing party at the famously authentic Ibiza superclub that is Amnesia will be no different. It will play out across the club’s two iconic spaces – The Terrace, and Main Room. In the former will be Patrick Topping, the Trick party and label head who is very much the face of contemporary British house and techno. He will be joined by the relentless Paul Woolford, who can do everything from classy piano house bangers to face-melting techno, all with endless reserves of passion and energy. Running Back label boss and famously eclectic, party-starting DJ and deep digging vinyl collector Gerd Janson also plays with an always unpredictable bag of tricks. Completing the Terrace is Berlin mainstay, record label boss and record store owner Cinthie, whose raw, deep, authentic brand of house music has made her one of the best in the game.

The Main Room will be lit up with the pounds of Archie Hamilton, who runs three labels in Moscow Records, Moss Co. & Arkityp, and someone who is one of the most sought after DJs in the game because of his knack for laying down sets of irresistible minimal-leaning house. Heavy House Society label boss Sidney Charles also lines up with his bass-heavy, chunky, floor-facing house grooves which are designed for maximum physical impact. Lastly, Chris Stussy b2b S.A.M is a face-off between two vital talents and masters of electronic funk and slick, spaced out house. Between them, they have landed on classy labels like Stussy’s Up The Stussy, Locus and Eastenderz.

This will be another historic night. Make sure you get involved with the #straightthroughcrew.

New Music Experience NFT Platform Atlanticus launches & drops Exclusive Paul Oakenfold ‘Magna Carta’ NFT

“Atlanticus have the creativity and imagination to help create the kind of unique digital piece we envisaged in thoughtful and sensitive ways. They really understand how to help tell a story in the right way, regardless of the priceless nature of the manuscript. We’re working closely with them to find the right music collaborator. We have the worldwide exclusive rights in all sectors and are opening up this once in a millennium opportunity to them with the Magna Carta for NFT’s. Knowing that the really care about every element of this which is essential when taking something of such historical significance half way around the world during a global pandemic” said Luke Purser, Director at Hawkwood International.

Co-built and curated by tech, music and cultural experts who strongly believe in the freedom of artists and creators to benefit from content focused decentralized networks, Atlanticus is a new musical experience driven NFT platform offering exclusive experiences to creators and fans.

Having music at its very heart, the teams at Atlanticus are honoured, in partnership with Hawkwood International, to have secured a unique NFT involving the Magna Carta and a unique piece of music by the three-time Grammy Award nominee and international superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold as a first release. This original document, accompanied by the King’s Writ, a one of a kind letter from King John in 1215, is travelling from England to Washington next month and we are lucky to have the opportunity to be part of the 800 year old history by adding a 21st Century NFT to it.

Atlanticus is built on the foundations of music and has been designed to best serve creators, collectors and the wider fan community. Like any world class gallery, Atlanticus is not only about transactions but wants to share the beauty of these pieces with as wide an audience as possible. You don’t have to own the rights to a piece of music to appreciate it or indeed to buy a recording of the original.

“It is a unique honour to be able to connect my music to such an iconic priceless manuscript, knowing that it will live on for ever more“ said Paul Oakenfold.

By utilizing the blockchain and NFT technology, Atlanticus offers the freedom for any artists in the world to share instantly their tracks, albums, DJ sets, videos, music experiences and any music related creation they may think of with their fans and other music lovers. It creates a way for artists to address their communities directly, and for music lovers to own rare, unique and exclusive creations, numbered and digitally signed on the blockchain.

“Being open minded and understanding that they want to share their creations is essential when working with creative people and being able to give cultural assets, be they music, art or film a global audience is something that Atlanticus have as a core message. We did that at Stonehenge with Universe, Paul Oakenfold and Carl Cox before anyone had heard of NFT’s so imagine what we can do now!” said Alon Shulman, MD Universe, CEO World Famous Group & co-founder at Atlanticus.

Created and developed by and for music lovers, Atlanticus is about enjoying and sharing exclusive music between artists and communities, it makes music exclusive again by offering rare and limited editions of music pieces.

“Imagine owning a signed Banksy or one of the 100 numbered limited editions of a Picasso lithograph, this is what Atlanticus does for music, it’s as simple as that! We’re delighted as a music platform to be given the unique opportunity to unite both the foundations of individual freedom and those of dance music with the Magna Carta Libertatum & Paul Oakenfold“ said Stéphane Schweitzer, owner of Clubbing TV & co-founder at Atlanticus.

• • •

“Atlanticus is a magic music place where any artist in the world could share their music with their fans, creating love, proximity and a strong link between creators & collectors” said Adrien Aversa, owner of Marmeladz, a leading European digital media group & co-founder at Atlanticus.

Fully invested in music creation, Altanticus will reserve a portion of all its proceeds to be donated to its “Atlanticare” initiative, a foundation that provides recording equipment and a way to benefit from the digital income from their creations to musicians in regions across the world where as a result of economic or political reasons they struggle have no access to this. The New Music Era is coming… Atlanticus.io, stay tuned ! Creators and collectors can pre-register now on www.atlanticus.io Contact us for more information :

Save Our Scene UK presents #FREEDOMTODANCE on Sunday 27th June w/ Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything, Franky Wah, Hannah Wants and more

SAVE OUR SCENE UK PRESENTS #FREEDOMTODANCE

On Sunday 27th June 2021, Save Our Scene UK (“SOS”), #LetUsDance and friends will be demonstrating in London with performances from some of the biggest names in music. It is expected to be the largest demonstration the music industry has ever seen.

Kai Cant, the founder of Abode came to SOS with the initial idea and has since rallied DJs and powerhouses from across all corners of the scene to come together under the rallying cry of #FreedomToDance!

The march will depart from Marble Arch at 12pm on Sunday making its way to Parliament, with DJ sets from the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything, East End Dubs, Fat Tony, Franky Wah, Hannah Wants, Jess Bays, Max Chapman, Charlie Tee, Kizzy Alicia, SUAT, Seb Zito, SOSA, Waff, Summer Ghemati, Wheats and many more…

The Founder of SOS, George Fleming says, “Whilst it’s great to see waves of football fans partying in London, it really asks us a question, why is the music industry still being suffocated by the Government? We have proven that we can open responsibly, and 58,000 people took part in the pilot events, of which only 15 people tested positive (5 of which were home related). This has proven the industry can successfully carry out safe events without adding to the spread of the virus.”

Michael Kill CEO NTIA / Savenightlife CIC #LetUsDance says “The Government has consistently marginalised our sector, we have had to fight for every bit of support and engagement throughout the pandemic. We have been continually targeted by the Government and excluded within every announcement. Our Industry is recognised and valued across the world, yet undervalued by our own Government. It’s time to push back and show the power of electronic music and the night time economy through its greatest asset, its people! Time to #Letusdance.”

Eats Everything, leading U.K. artist says, “This Government is all about money, and it can’t be that our industry isn’t financially beneficial to them because we clearly are, so it has to be merely down to the fact that they don’t like the culture plain and simple. I’m absolutely not a Covid denier or anti mask/vaxer in any way shape or form, but what I am is a person who is a member of an industry that has been totally downtrodden time and time again…Stop ruining hearts, minds and livelihoods”.

Hannah Wants, British DJ and Producer, who is also performing on Sunday says, “I’m proud and excited that the dance music industry is coming together as one to ultimately fight for our industries future.”

The industry has lost all confidence in the Government over their handling of the arts through the last 18 months and there are huge signs that the Government has a complete disregard for the very industry which makes life so worth living for workers and music lovers combined.

Fleming continues We are protesting this week to tell the Government that enough is enough and we will not stay silent any longer. Too many jobs have been lost and the damage has become irreversible. Around 10,000 licensed venues have already closed permanently and over 400,000 live events staff have lost their jobs. Our message to the Government is if they delay any further, we will be on the streets protesting daily. We cannot afford to wait any longer.”

One of the organisers, Kai Cant says, “Some might ask, why protest now, it’s only 4 weeks away? To which I answer, if we stay silent, this will present a greater potential for the Government to delay again and again. We have run many polls over the past 2 days, which shows on average 90% of the population don’t believe they will lift all restrictions on July 19th. This shows a complete lack of confidence, so that is why we are here today. For the people.”

Audio Streaming Platform Beatstream Fully Launches with New Partnerships & Features

The one of a kind audio platform allows venues, DJs and musicians to maximise ticket revenue, even once the doors open again

Audio streaming app Beatstream is a platform without barriers, with zero setup costs and unbeatable audio quality. Although established prior to the pandemic, they invested heavily in the platform during lockdown and have already streamed the First Dance pilot event from Liverpool which attracted listeners from all over the world.

During the launch of Beatstream, they have conducted successful pilot streams with The Happy Mondays, Shed Seven, The Blossoms, Graeme Park and Clint Boon amongst many more. The app now boasts more than 50,000 listeners in 24 countries. Early stats show that 94% of people who buy a ticket for a Beatstream event are still listening at the end, and the platform is adding new features all the time, including integrated paywalls, social media incorporation and much more.

Music is a social experience, and Beatstream harnesses that. The platform’s digital transformation of the live music experience has created endless opportunities for musicians, especially during a time where live gatherings of people are restricted all over the world. The Beatstream Live function has not only allowed artists to continue earning whilst music venues have been forced to shut, but has also connected fans to their favourite artists.

As popular as video streaming has become, audio streaming is still vastly preferred in most settings such as house parties. An audio stream allows artists to focus on what they are best at – the music. Even post-Covid, when live streaming from clubs takes off once more, audio-only streaming will remain the first choice simply because the UK’s network infrastructure isn’t stable enough to allow mass video streaming to be scaled to levels of suitable quality and stability.

Beatstream allows artists and venues to earn revenue by selling tickets and streaming live performances to an unlimited global audience. It costs nothing to set up, and takes under 10 minutes to get live, which is in stark contrast to the costs and time involved in setting up visual streaming. The complete plug and play solution offers secure streaming that restricts sharing, is available via the app or on desktops and sits behind an embedded paywall.

That paywall is now capable of allowing events to be either free, ticketed, pay what you feel, tip only, or a charitable donation. Tickets are listed via a simple online form and are sold via the Beatstream ticket site, with dedicated technicians setting up each listing. Users earn revenue on each ticket sold via the app, with Beatstream costs starting from only £1 + 15p per hour streamed from each ticket.

Social media is also being ever more closely integrated with Beatstream with event chat and messaging recently added and plans for much more in the near future. All of this has led to quick growth for Beatstream, which is already actively engaging partners in the USA and Europe’s 24/7 live music experience covering all genres from country to EDM, gospel to punk, hip hop to jazz. Partnerships have been struck up with the likes of PRS For Music, The Department for International Trade, Music Venue Trust (MVT) and many more to come.

Matt Walsh, Founder & CEO comments; “We take the feed straight from the mixing desk so the fans hear the full live experience. They simply buy a ticket, receive a code and sign into the gig on the Beatstream website or App when the doors open. It’s a high-quality audio stream and all the test events have sounded fantastic. The technology has been designed to be simple, it takes minutes to set up at the venue and can be listened to anywhere in the world on many devices.

“Promoters can now sell tickets for people to listen anywhere in the world. This is a new revenue stream which goes beyond a venue’s capacity, it is secure, high-quality and limitless. Fans can now get into ‘sold out’ events or follow their favourite artists around the world. Promoters set the price of the ticket; Beatstream Box Office simply charges a fixed price per stream for the technology cost.”

Beatstream connects fans with live music scenes all over the world, no matter where they are. For artists, Beatstream allows them to rest safe in the knowledge that fans are getting the best possible experience, all while offering simple and effective ticketing solutions. There really is nothing else like it.
