Hop Farm 2014 lineup announced

The Hop Farm Festival is proud to announce many more acts across its numerous stages for the weekend. We are delighted to announce the iconic Ray Davies as our Friday headliner, who will return to The Hop Farm to give a performance that will mark the start of this fantastic festival weekend.

Deacon Blue – The Scottish band who sales exceed 6 million records and enjoyed 2 chart topping albums are confirmed to appear on the main stage, as are festival favourites Echo and The Bunnymen, 10cc, Arrested Development and Dr John… with more acts to be announced.

Other acts now confirmed for the bill include Billy Ocean – the legendary RnB superstar, Daptone Super Soul Review – a 3 hour non stop party of Soul, Funk, Gospel and AfroBeat. We are delighted that also set to appear are Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, who will support headliners on the main stage and also appearing will be Treetop Flyers, Moya and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

Second Stage headliners are Cara Dillon and The Orchestra of Ireland, Nick Lowe – (the headmaster of British Rock) and Maximo Park. The stage also features Marc Almond. The second stage also plays host to a stunning line-up of some of the best-loved artists who are touring in 2014 including Peter Hook and The Light, Jukebox The Ghost, Ian Mcnabb, My Darling Clementine, Glastonbury Emerging Talent Winners – Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, Danny & The Champions of The World, Charlotte Church, The Full English, The Family Rain, Ren Harvieau and The Beat, with more yet to be announced.

The Jazz & Blues Lounge has top billing for The Royal Southern Brotherhood, Curtis Stigers and Tony Joe White with some of the most respected music artists supporting including Chaz & Dave, The Jacqui Dankworth Band, Brassroots,

The All Stars Collective, Zoe Rahman and British trailblazer –Zara McFarlane. There are many more acts appearing on the Jazz & Blue’s Lounge Stage over the festival weekend, who include Gabby Young and Other Animals, Yolanda Brown, Dana Fuchs, Soft Machine Legacy, Babajack, Laurence Jones, Josephine, Toby Jepson and Pacifico Blues.

Jo Brand, the legendary comic and one of the UK’s best-loved personalities, brings her own style of acerbic wit to our festival fans as she is set to headline the Comedy Tent at the festival.

Hop Farm Festival is also delighted to announce that Rich Hall’s Hoedown is also headlining our comedy stage, with the critically acclaimed funny man of Montana rolling in to add some virtuosic comedy gold with his mash-up of music and comedy featuring his own musical mates and

The festival’s comedy stage is hotting up alongside our early spring, with acts confirmed to appear including Seann Walsh – the English funny man already revered as one of the most charismatic comedians of his generation and additional youthful talent Josh Widdicombe who is a firm Edinburgh Fringe favourite and also presents his own show on XFM.

Andrew Maxwell, the Irish stand-up and Bafta winner will also appear, alongside Simon Evans a Live at the Apollo favourite, So you think you are funny winner – Rob Rouse, Tom Stade – the Canadian with big TV appeal and BBC Radio 2 Comedy Award winner – Angela Barnes.

Further comedy acts set to appear include Stand Up For The Week regular Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Deering the guitarist, writer and comic and actress and funny girl Katherine Ryan.

Additional comedy turns include Rob Beckett, Charlie Baker and Suzi Rufell with further names to be announced.

More stages announced including The Rising Talent Stage and Campsite Bandstand supporting new music. These new stages which will feature the best of new talent with acts set to appear including Elliot Morris, Lisbee Stainton, Robert Vincent, Patch and The Giant, Dan Clews, Coco and The Butterfields, Hannah Robinson, Jasmine Kennedy, Kaleidophone and Meadowlark.
