Not only have they secured The Charlatans as headline act, but they have also secured The Enemy on the bill.
Festival CEO Gerard Richardson MBE said:
I can’t quite believe it! We now have three incredible gigs to look forward to over the Diamond Jubilee weekend. With the dazzling Katherine Jenkins opening the Festival on Friday 01 June, our incredible *“Best of the ‘70’s” line up for Saturday night and both The Charlatans and The Enemy for Sunday, it’s going to be a cracking festival! As well as all these world-class acts several hundred thousand people will be able to enjoy all the other amazing spectacles over the weekend including cookery theatres with the likes of Jean-Christophe Novelli, Ainsley Harriot and Sean Wilson (Artisan cheese maker and ex Corrie actor “Martin Platt”), a Red Arrows air show, tall ship racing, continental and Cumbrian markets, street theatre, a cake baking competition, a huge fun fair and many more attractions and sideshows!
