August bank holidays are made for music. There are a lot of festivals and events going on over the UK and one in particular was happening at Hitchin Priory in Hertfordshire which is just North of London.
There are four events planned for the weekend including The Human League, Rudimental, The Libertines and Ministry Of Sound Classical. Unfortunately after the long summer heatwave the heavens opened and flooded Hitchin town and The Human League had to be cancelled for safety reasons.
Luckily on Saturday we managed to attend The Libertines show with a cracking suppporting lineup including William Hann, KIT, The Ramona Flowers, Indoor Foxes, Mystery Jets, Reverend and the Makers and Maximo Park.
All the acts throughout the day put on great performances. Even with downpours of rain could not dampen the spirits of the crowd who were singing and dancing along.
There was plenty of food and drink vendors to enjoy with a wide variety to cater for all. Also Pete Doherty was selling his own printed magazine to the attendees.
Overall the whole day was great and it will be exciting to see who will be at next years event.
