The team behind Wales’ biggest events and festivals, including Inside Out and Colour Clash, have announced a major evolution for the company. Having previously operated as Climax Live, the launch of Escape Records is a huge development that sees the brand new record label, as well as all their existing festivals and club nights, fall under one exciting new brand. On top of this, there are bold plans firmly in motion for a brand new sure-to-be historic and much larger addition to their festival portfolio next year. Escape Records, then, is very much set to change the game in Wales and beyond.
The vibrant new label will be a diverse and exciting home to a vast array of sounds and genres. You can expect to hear the sort of cutting edge sounds that have always been championed across the collective’s iconic portfolio of festivals and events, across three genre focussed sub brands; Escape Tapes (Urban), Escape Jack (House), and Escape Anthems, with exciting releases from red hot artists including Glen Horsborough, Peter Chard and Local all confirmed.
Escape Records will officially launch on 17th May with a host of bold and adventurous activations that will showcase the sort of out-of-the-box thinking and real excitement the brand is all about.
The Escape Records team have undoubtedly established themselves as the leading event promoters in Wales over recent years, launching and firmly establishing three festivals across the country; Inside Out, Colour Clash and Party At The Park, as well as taking the reigns of one of Wales’ most loved legacy festival brands, Escape, each with capacities ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 people, with a huge new game-changing festival all set to be unveiled soon.
The collective has always strived to surround themselves and work with an array of amazing and creative people that are the heartbeat of what the brand stands for. Escape Records was very much a vision for the future, but after the enforced 2020 fallow year because of the pandemic, it now takes centre stage, as bold new challenges await whilst the team work on some very special new projects to be announced very soon.
Says Mark Hopkins, Director of Escape Records, “our mantra is trust and love the process. This means we’ve had an incredible ride, with many knocks along the way, but we have learnt from them all and improved each time and are now ready to take things to the next level. When this journey began, it was based in music and partying and the wider cultural impact in truth was not at the forefront of our minds. Fast forward 15 years and sadly the care free attitude of youth is starting to escape us, but this space is now filled with a more meaningful purpose. The creation of our academy to support and bring through the next generation of music talent in South Wales, our range of charitable and project work most recently supporting the building of a home in Cambodia. Giving back in all its forms to our community, the industry further afield and making sure we embody that in all that we do.”
The launch of Escape Records is the first chapter in an exciting new story. Sign up here to keep up to date with all announcements and developments as the story unfolds.

Also playing this stage will be fellow d&b don Ed Rush next to Bushwacka!, Adrain Sherwood, Deekline, DJ Storm, Holographic and many more.

Illusive Bristol bad boy Dubspeeka also joins this stage having made himself a real techno innovator with releases on the likes of Sasha’s Last Night on Earth. Quivver is a man who spent five years in DJ Mag’s Top 100 and continues to remain one of the world’s finest DJs and a master producer who has been laying it down in style since the 90s on vital labels from Maus Trap to Perfecto.
Noisilys final big new addition is Simon Posford for the Liquid Stage. The whole magical and enriching gathering goes down in a suitably mystic setting far away from everyday life – a secluded woodland at the heart of the English countryside. It is a unique site unlike any other and always proves a magical wonderland for the 5000 people who make the annual pilgrimage each July.
Next to the music there is much to enjoy including interactive art installations and the Mind Body Soul healing area: a holistic space where hundreds of contributors come together to share knowledge and skills with the guests, including a full program of panels and talks, yoga and bodywork, therapies, workshops, sound healing, hot tubs and everything in between.
In order to make the festival as safe as possible for all, there has been a large Covid related investment in Health & Safety. The original three stage plus various micro-stage format remains, only this year the line up is UK only artists which is an exciting development that means the wealth of talent on these shores gets a platform it deserves.
Shoreditch’s Glam Ushers in a New Era of Luxury Clubbing with Iconic House Headliners
Armand Van Helden, Tony Humphries, Louie Vega, David Morales, Dave Lee, Moodena, Michael Gray, Jeremy Healy, Brandon Block, Allister Whitehead and more US house legends all line up at the premium club
The time has come for a change in London’s clubbing landscape. Dark and gritty warehouses have had their day. After what has been a hard year for all, it’s time that a night out was a luxury indulgence with high-end design, plush decor, and an authentic, heartfelt house soundtrack. Enter Glam, a brand new and standout club that brings light, love, colour and charisma back to the fore. Opening on Friday June 25th in what used to be Shoreditch’s Aquarium, the fabulously designed adult playground promises real theatre with a host of eccentric characters and proven, pioneering house DJs from across the globe.
Glam is a new project from old friends Paul Nelson and Carl McCormick. For years, Carl has put on high-end parties for the likes of Drake, Rhianna and Prince. Paul, meanwhile, was the first person to ever get a legal rave license for his legendary Raindance events. As such, this scene runs deep in their soul.
They first met in 1992, then launched Aquarium in 1995, a hugely influential venue that ushered in the clubbing revolution that took hold in Shoreditch in the ensuing years. Back then, way ahead of their time, the promoters focused on dressing up the venue in luxury fabrics, with exotic lighting and premium clientele who liked to dress up to get down. The club was famously inclusive and welcoming to all. A place where every race, gender and sexuality came together as one. Many modern dance floors now strive for this mix. But it has always come naturally to this pair, and will very much define the latest chapter in their ongoing love story with clubland.
Says Carl, “I cut my teeth at the always beautifully designed and luxuriant Renaissance with its world-class DJs, and I’m not gunna lie, it’s a huge inspiration for what we are doing with Glam. The club is just what everyone needs right now – something that’s high-end, super special in every way, but never too stuffy or elitist. We’re proudly going against the grain and redefining the glossy glam of the 90s with a contemporary soundtrack.”
Each weekend, the fully renovated club will stimulate your every sense with plush drapes, dangling chandeliers, warming backlights and a host of wild characters, from drag queens to burlesque dancers. It will be flamboyant and full of the disco dazzle that made Studio 54 such a cult spot, but always with a no-nonsense, proper house soundtrack.
The utterly sensual Glam offers three unique spaces. The famous pool has gone and been replaced with the VIP Phoenix Lounge in partnership with Ciroc. There is also the mid-sized main room for headliner action, and the magnificent Salon Privé, a cocktail lounge serving contemporary fusion food, with live, cosy, unplugged soul and jazz shows in a stylish art deco setting reminiscent of the roaring twenties.
Musically, it is house, house and more house on Saturdays, which come under the ToyBox banner. It will be an immersive and escapist party that takes you a million miles away from the norm, deep into a fantastical new world of vibrant and vivid colours and characters with the world’s best DJs. Fridays will be taken care of by Soul Kingdom and real disco dons.
The Friday, June 25th launch party features Michael Gray and Moodena, and the night after is a live set from Alison Limmerick, plus UK mainstays Jeremy Healy, Brandon Block and Allister Whitehead. After that, house and disco aficionado Dave Lee aka Joey Negro will serve up one of his masterclasses on the 3rd, game-changing Zanzibar resident Tony Humphries plays the 10th and the one and only David Morales takes charge for six sure to be special hours on July 31st. As well as that, two bonafide US house legends will head over from their New York homes to complete the month.
Glam residents mix established heads with exciting new talents and include The Menendez Brothers, Siggy Smalls, Natasha Kitty Kat and more, with a real US house icon set to be added to the team in August and plenty more lined up including Armand Van Helden, Louie Vega, Jamie Underground and Bellair.
There are just six weeks to go until Glam opens and offers something truly different. Make sure you’re a part of the story.

So, to the future! Noisily is back on track and we are moving full steam ahead with their biggest show yet.
Each year when we weave the line up together, there are a small number of more sought after artists on it who are based abroad. The musical programming at Noisily has long been about the complete soundtrack of the weekend, not the individual artist, and we love to welcome performers who are as much at the festival to party as to play – they always just get the vibe and never fail to perform – unlike some of the bigger names. However, balancing these performers has always been a hard call to make as our “Headliners” create the most hype in the build up to the event. This year, though, given the new world we live in, we have made the decision to take the plunge and balance the line up, celebrating more local artists from the Noisily Family who will blow the bloody doors off as well as anyone with a bigger price tag.
Line up: Frankey & Sandrino, Atlantik, Hidden Empire, Aidan Doherty, Life, Tim Englhardt

One of the scene’s most best-known names for more than three decades, Judge Jules has never shied away from pushing the boundaries in dance music. In 2021, audiences will be able to experience the iconic tracks that have defined his career through a ten-piece live band with Judge Jules at the helm. This is Judge Jules: Live.
Jules’s in-depth involvement in many of the recent wave of “classical” dance events, including Gatecrasher, Colours, Club Class and 2019’s Ministry of Sound tour, inspired the decision to take the impact and emotion of the classical shows, but refine the feeling with a wholly new take on live dance music.
With complete creative free rein, Jules has curated every element of the performance. Each track has been bespoke reinvented and reworked in a style unique to this live show, featuring a full ten-piece band, with brass, percussion, drums, bass guitar, lead guitar, keyboard, singers, and of course Judge Jules himself. A 90-minute show from start to finish, the music has been selected to represent the breadth and scale of his career.
“There is something about music being played live that never fails to send shivers down your spine – it doesn’t matter what the genre is, hearing a track performed by live musicians on stage is something you cannot replicate in the studio, or even on the best nightclub environment. So, I decided to create my own bespoke versions of my all-time favourite records with a specially selected band. It’s taken a long time to put together, but finally we look forward to taking the “Judge Jules Live” tour on the road. This truly is a new take on the ‘live dance music’ phenomenon and the tour bus starts rolling shortly.” – Judge Jules
This is not a show to sit down for – combining the energy of specially-chosen outstanding musicians with his own inimitable presence behind the decks, Jules will take the audience on a tailor-made journey through dance music with vocals, hands-in-the-air moments and plenty of basslines that’ll take you right back to your very first rave.
With audiences demanding more from dance music and newfound focus on a visual as well as a sonic spectacle, Judge Jules Live is a chance for dance fans to lose themselves in the moment with the kind of experience that you just can’t replicate with a solitary DJ.
‘STEVE LAWLER, GW HARRISON, SO SOLID CREW, MC BUSHKIN + MANY MORE’
On Saturday 26th June, One World Festival will make history as the first-ever event in a brand new location set in 1200 acres of rolling green landscape on the outskirts of London next to the M25. Every single detail of this debut festival has been painstakingly designed to make for the perfect musical experience. The eclectic and world-class line-up features stage hosts Flex FM, Art E Fect, Audio Rehab, Un-Mondo and Feel the Fruit, with headliners Steve Lawler, So Solid Crew, DJ Hatcha, Mark Radford, GW Harrison, Carnao Beats, Marcus Nasty, DJ Pioneer and many more.
One World Festival was born from the fallout following the demise of the live event industry during the Covid 19 pandemic. Upon the realisation that dance music would not be returning to clubs for some time, a group of close friends, brand owners and DJ/producers from the industry came together to create a new festival concept in a unique and all new outdoor location.
It will feature a main stage marquee, three tunnel stages, a VIP marquee and three large bar areas. The site will also include a funfair as well as a selection of local traders, vendors and food stalls. It will boast world-class audio-visual technology, including neon bars mounted within screens, huge LED screens, Pioneer DJ equipment and a KV2 large outdoor stack system for next-level sound. There is also a camping area and all other amenities essential for world-class outdoor festivals including local traders offering plenty of bespoke and boutique goodies.
A key mantra for One World Festival is to support the emerging industry wherever possible. Helping artists and brands on their own journeys is a key part of that. The underground and upcoming scene is the lifeblood of the industry, and One World is setting out to support it at every turn, with each of the five stages featuring a carefully curated line-up comprising some of the very best DJs and producers in house, tech house and UKG, as well as a considered selection of up-and-coming artists.
Each of the main stages as well as the VIP stage will be hosted by a different key brand partner; Flex FM is one of the UKs longest-serving underground music stations, with a heritage stretching back to 1992. It has become one of the most influential broadcasting radio stations of its generation and embraces a wide range of sounds, with a focus on inspiring and influencing the community in the best way possible. Art e Fect’s core ethos is about mixing legends with the next generation of talent. Pre-pandemic, the brand had a residency at London’s iconic EGG Club and is now ready to get back to doing what they do best.
Underground house label Audio Rehab is the brainchild of influential DJ and producer Mark Radford and has spawned its own sub-genre of lights-out, bass heavy house music. Un Mondo, headed up by DJ GGB aka Glen Butcher, is a collective of DJs and producers with over 25 years experience serving up atmospheric vibes to the ravers. Finally, Feel The Fruit will bring their house, tech and classics sound to the VIP stage, having hosted sold out events all over London and Essex.
With its great attention to detail and focus on emerging talent as well as international names, One World Festival is a vital new addition to the UK summer.
