Greece’s #1 dj and producer Echonomist teams up with renowned producer Jenia Tarsol for their debut on Afterlife.

Renowned for his indie-electronic explorations, Echonomist has risen to prominence in recent years, establishing an untarnished reputation within the electronic music community. His sound is derived from a broad palette of tones, timbres and influences; from drum’n’bass to rock and jazz. Jenia Tarsol has appeared on a long list of influential labels, collaborating with some of the greats of our scene. His soulful productions invoke a spiritual depth, and his exquisite touch exemplifies the human experience with each new release.

‘Panic Attack’ opens the release with an oscillating bassline and a rousing main riff. A disorientating vocal sample leads us into the main body of the track, which undergoes several phases of evolution. ‘Do You See It Yet’ channels new wave into the 21st Century, this is pure analogue synthesiser love from Echonomist and Jenia. Driving energy and hypnotic synth lines take this one to its natural conclusion.

Finally, Echonomist closes the EP with a solo cut entitled ‘Purple Skyline’. The atmosphere treads a delicate line between melancholy and optimism, gently building up to an outburst of rhythm, percussion and invigorating melody in its second half.

Only Friday tickets remain but will sell out soon, so head to https://www.amnesia.es to get yours.
This has been a summer unlike any other, with none of the usual landmark events at Amnesia Ibiza. But the iconic brand has worked hard to bring their famous experience to clubbers around the world with a special week long take over festival in Croatia, a very special Sunset Session party at a spectacular 17th-century Fortress on the Isle of Pag and even a virtual rave in the Amnesia virtual venue in collaboration with Decentral Games, the world’s first immersive 3D metaverse experience.
Now, these two special parties offer the exclusive chance to dance on the White Isle this year.  Although Saturday is sold out, the club will be doing something special for residents who head down early. Both nights will be the mother of all parties with all of the stops pulled out, the production beefed up, the immersive light and visuals all ready to take you into another dimension.

Friday will offer some of the world’s most revered house and techno talents with the likes of heavyweights Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Marco Faraone and Answer Code Request, UK party starter Skream, Fuse boss Enzo Siragusa, Spanish favourites Dennis Cruz and Hector Couto and breakout 2021 star Jamie Roy as well as house innovator DJ Boring.
As for Saturday, from early on, the Terrazza is all about the Amnesia classics, while the 3rd Dimension offers a new and considered sound from red hot acts Jayda G and Young Marco who dig deep and join the dots between multiple genres with real flair. Later on the Terrazza comes Jamie Jones who of course hosts his hugely popular Paradise party at the club. He is joined by the sensational The Blessed Madonna, who will become a much more regal fixture at Amnesia in 2022 so keep your eyes peeled. Amnesia regulars Richy Ahmed, Cuartero, Mar-T and Caal, Sidney Charles and Seb Zito and Luca Donzelli also bring the goodness, while the Club is all about big room techno with Adam Beyer, Marco Faraone, Deborah de Luca and more.
You can expect a whole season’s worth of pent up partying to be released at these two epic parties. Make sure you’re part of history.

The Teenage Mutants are back on Acid, taking us for the Rebirth of the clubs with a 4 tracker, after raving in a german living room for too long. Enjoy the trip!

This is Filth on Acid NOW

Rebirth opens up with cantering drums and flashes of synth that light up the groove. The bass booms and the whole track races forwards, taking you with it. Paulus sets off on big, wooden kick drums that are overlaid with fizzing synth energy and cosmic rays of light. Huge hi hats add scale and an epic breakdown is followed by a powerful drop. Evolve is first and is a big, bouncy acid techno cut with lighting synths and plenty of pent up energy to blow the crowd away. Last of all, Pandemonium ups the ante with swampy bass and synths bringing a dark and dystopian vibe as the hard edge drums bang the groove.

This is another visceral offering of essential acid tracks.

A ‘Lite Xperience’ ticket is available for 150 SAR and includes access for one day between the hours of 4pm to midnight. For guests attending the evening events only, the ‘Night Xperience’ ticket costs 750 SAR for one night, increasing to 1,750 SAR for all three nights.

XP is set to welcome leading international and regional music industry executives, policy makers, artists and creatives to participate in workshops, panel discussions and roundtables as they come together in building the future for the region’s music industry.

XP programme director, Nada Alhelabi commented, “It’s fair to say that we are entering the most exciting time for the music industry in the Middle East, ever. The opportunity is enormous, the potential is being unlocked, and what we need is a moment for the industry to come together to seize this chance with both hands, XP is that moment’’.

She added, “We have built a very special program around the four key pillars; talent, the scene, policy, and social impact. We’re going to cover every corner of the industry with real outcomes and actions which will have a genuine and positive impact in the regional music industry.”

Programming for XP will come under four pillars: Talent and DevelopmentInspire and PromoteData, Policy & Advocacy; and Social Purpose– with each pillar containing carefully curated panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Topics under Talent and Development will range from ‘Amplifying Music Futures – What does this new generation of creatives need to thrive?’, where the focus will be on laying down the ingredients for success in the industry. Another topic of discussion is titled ‘It’s a real job, mama’, which will look at how, currently, careers in the creative industries are limited for many young people in the region, and what can be done to change it.

Inspire and Promotetopics will range from ‘Supercharging Music Tourism – Creating a sustainable new economy in KSA’ which will explore the changing landscape of the sharing economy, and the companies striving to make access to events and entertainment easier. A fishbowl session titled ‘How music can put a city on the global map’ will outline best practices in placemaking for music venues and festival sites.

‘Empowering Women in Music’ will be a hot topic under Data, Policy and Advocacy, as XP explores the advantages of female representation and having a diverse workforce. Another discussion under the same umbrella will be ‘The social and economic impact of the music industry on society’, which looks at the significant ROI music has on cities across the world.

Social Impact programming will look at subjects which extend the positive reach of music culture into communities. This takes many forms with ‘Green events, green planet’, one example event which willshowcase the innovative power and progressive thinking within the events industry.

Ramadan Alharatani, CEO of MDLBEAST, says: “XP is a truly ground-breaking opportunity to contribute to building a new music and creative ecosystem that will offer benefits for all. The Middle East and Africa music market, which accounted for around US$170 million in the year 2018, is expected to grow to more than US$650 million in 20271. This is the scale of the opportunity and the reason why XP exists, to build the infrastructure to support and accelerate that growth.”

To ensure this, the XP programming has been carefully curated to cover the most important topics we are faced with today and I’m delighted to welcome some of the brightest and most exciting minds to join us in inspiring the next generation of music industry professional.”
