Summer’s kicking in and the countdown to READING & LEEDS FESTIVAL has hit the 100 days mark so it’s time to start planning the most rock and roll weekend of the year.

We have the full line-up announcement of the NME / Radio 1 stage for this years Reading and Leeds Festival.  There are a host of artists joining the previously announced headliners, THE MACCABEES, AT THE DRIVE-IN and JUSTICE.

The headliners on the LOCK UP STAGE come from the East and West coast of the US.  California’s SOCIAL DISTORTION bring their hard rockabilly/punk to the festival on Friday at Reading and Saturday at Leeds, and Florida’s LESS THAN JAKE

Its been a long time coming but we can now revel that the Foo Fighters, The Cure & Kasabian are all set to rock this years Reading and Leeds Festival.

A limited number of weekend tickets for Latitude (adult, family camping & child), The Big Chill (adult, family campsite & child) and Reading & Leeds 2012 will go on sale from 9am on Friday 2nd December at 2011 ticket prices.

Leeds Festival continue their collaboration with Transgressive Records in proving entertainment till the wee hours. More names have been announced to perform on the Alternative Stage.

 One of the most popular places to be at Reading & Leeds Festival is The Alternative Stage. The place to laugh, listen and let your hair down – this is the destination for the eclectic side of the festival.

The Festival Republic stage is known for showcasing the latest and greatest up and coming talent from the world of music.  We have the full Festival Republic lineup here which includes headliners Peter Doherty and The Horrors alongside Digitalism, Cloud Control, Ed Sheeran and many many more! 

Not content with providing the biggest and best names in music for festival goers at Reading & Leeds Festival – The Alternative Stage also hosts some of the finest names in comedy and performance. MARK WATSON, THE RUBBERBANDITS and ANDREW O’NEILL are just some of the famous names who join the weekend and will endeavour to keep you laughing till you cry till the wee hours. Then the dancing begins!

We are now thrilled to unveil the line-up for one of the most popular stages at the event, the LOCK UP STAGE. Featuring the greatest names in punk, ska and rock we are proud to reveal THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES and DESCENDENTS as our headliners.

Having already announced the first batch of acts for Reading and Leeds Festival 2011, we can now reveal the lineup for the Dance stages.  Tearing the roof off this year will be UNKLE, Simian Mobile Disco and many many more!

Off the back of their incredible live show at The Forum in London earlier this week, Festival Republic, promoter of The Reading & Leeds Festival, are proud to announce the addition of GLASSJAW to the line-up for the NME/Radio 1 Stage.

Yet again, Reading & Leeds Festival brings you the finest bands on the planet to perform at two of the most famous festival sites for live music. Europe’s biggest dual site, Little John’s Farm in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds, have achieved legendary status as the place to see the biggest, most exciting and talked about artists from across the world.

Hot off the press is the lineup for this years Reading and Leeds festivals.  Headlining this year will be My Chemical Romance, The Strokes, and Muse.  They are joined by a massive lineup of other top artists.

Residents’ presale tickets will go on sale 36 hours before the general on sale date. Residents will have from 7am on Sunday 20th March – 2pm on Monday 21st March to make their booking. For those who don’t qualify for presale tickets, the general on sale will start from 7pm on Monday evening.

As we approach the August Bank Holiday weekend, the highly anticipated Reading and Leeds Festival weekender is about to hit.  With the weather being up and down as always, we have got the latest weather forecast for both festivals here, read on for more info.
