BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR starts the year with another fabtastic announcement for its 2012 event at Catton Hall this summer, confirming Floridian death metal legends DEICIDE’s only UK show of the year.

Polish blackened death metal monsters BEHEMOTH have announced an exclusive UK festival appearance at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2012.

BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR have announced their first headliner for next year’s event. Hot on the heels of his Welcome 2 My Nightmare tour, notorious shock rocker ALICE COOPER comes to CATTON HALL for his only UK festival appearance of 2012.

Dimmu Borgir, Hatebreed, Corrosion of Conformity and Anaal Nathrakh have all been announced for Bloodstock 2012.

BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR has revealed the latest additions to next year’s line up. England’s own masters of misery PARADISE LOST join the 2012 line up - which already boasts ORANGE GOBLIN and ANVIL - to return to BLOODSTOCK’s main stage.

With Bloodstock only just passed this year, the organisers haven't wasted anytime in preparing for next years edition.  BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR has revealed the first two names for next year’s festival, one of them being Canadian legends Anvil!

With little over a month to go, we have the stage splits for this years mega metal festival Bloodstock Open Air.  

BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR has added another two bands to it’s 2011 line up. NWOBHM pioneers HELL and newcomers DRIPBACK are set to perform. As well as that, we can announce that Friday's fancy dress theme will be dedicated to Hammer Horror's Vincent Price!

Last year, BLOODSTOCK offered comedy for the first time, an element that went down so well it is expanding on it this year, kicking off with one hour of comedy on the Thursday, with numerous performances across the weekend also scheduled on the SOPHIE stage.

Motörhead are set to close the festival down Sunday night, whilst W.A.S.P will see out Friday night on the main stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2011.  Other acts announced include Swedish heavy metal masters Hammerfall and Finnish gotic metallers PoisonBlack. 

German thrash legends Kreator return to BLoodstock for 2011 along with black metal overlords 1349 and swedish metal heroes Wolf.  With a host of other acts also announced Bloodstock Open Air is set to be the heaviest festival of the summer!

Two more UK festival exculsive's have been added to the Bloodstock Open Air 2011 lineup.  Grindcore innovators and legends Napalm Death and Seattle metallers Nevermore join the massive lineup which takes over Catton Hall Derby on the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011.

Thrash legends EXODUS will make their only UK festival appearance at BLOODSTOCK’s RONNIE JAMES DIO STAGE this summer. Over the course of thirteen studio albums, EXODUS have been a constant force in the thrash metal scene, their faithfulness ensuring their name remains synonymous with the genre. In their 30 plus years, EXODUS has weathered numerous line up changes (which has seen members of Metallica, Testament and Slayer pass through their ranks), two extended hiatuses and the tragedy of the deaths of two former members.

The acts are being added thick and fast to the Bloodstock Open Air Festival 2011.  The latest additions to the lineup include TAROT, ARTHEMIS, POWERQUEST and CRIMINAL.  With 10 exclusive performances already lined up the new additions add more fire to this already massive lineup.
