Orgainsers say, we are over the moon with the high profile acts we have managed to book this year, it feels like the festival is really going forward and more big artists are wanting to be involved, which is very promising for the future – it can only get bigger and better!

Upton Festival welcomes all – New family camping enclosure this year, general camping and fantastic VanCamp area where campervan enthusiasts can have their very own area along the beautiful riverside to camp and show off their amazing motors!

Along with this Upton Festival organisers are introducing a 2nd Stage to 2012, geared up fully to local & fringe acts to give the local community a chance to show their talents;

Organisers say: “our newest and greatest achievement so far for the 2012 event is the great local support and push behind the festival on networking sites such as facebook and through our website also. We have been inundated with local acts that want to perform at the festival to push their own band profile, so much so that we have linked together with Cheltenham’s live music venue Subtone to launch a ‘battle of the bands’ type competition. The Winners will receive £1000 cash prize and a slot on the main stage at the festival.”

As with last year the organisers are offering local tradesmen a free space to trade at the festival and boast a great family friendly fun environment. Including a kid’s area where your children will find plenty to see and do, including Jumbo inflatable slides, sumo suits, bouncy castle, face-painting, glitter tattoos and much more. From the outset of the festival the organisers were keen to make this event a great for Worcestershire and encouraging tourism is Upton-upon-Severn, the festival team pride themselves on using as many local contractors as possible “Upton is such a beautiful town, full of great small shops and businesses. Certainly more people should visit it”
