Hosted by a different label each day, Unknown revellers will have the chance to catch a boat and party on Unknown's very own secluded island with some of the best DJs in the world providing the soundtrack.Erol Alkan's label Phantasy takes to the island on Tuesday with a set from the DJ himself as well astechno mastermind Daniel Avery and Lemmy Ashton. The following day Jackmaster and Spencer take to the decks with Seth Troxler for their Numbers island party and on Thursday Young Turks and Hivern Discs team up to present a packed line-up featuring Nick Tasker, JMII and Dani Baughman as well as an unmissable back to back set by Jamie XX and John Talabot.

This summer's Unknown Festival has revealed a another batch of artists joining the bill. Unknown will be the first Croatian visit for Chic feat Nile Rodgers. The Summer Festival Guide has the rest of the latest lineup news for this years event below:
Rising above the competition, Unknown offers the most eclectic programme of live and electronic acts in Croatia. Talent from across the musical spectrum will perform unforgettable shows across the festival's intimate forest and waterside stages including London Grammar, Clean Bandit, Disclosure, Chvrches, Wild Beasts, TEED, Erol Alkan and Moderat. Unknown's idyllic beach stage will also provide the perfect scene for the incredible and timeless sounds of Chic Ft. Nile Rogers, who make their Croatian live debut.
Brand new to 2014, Unknown will be returning with a series of island parties hosted by the likes of Young Turks and Numbers. Taking place on secluded private islands and accessible only via a short boat ride, these amazing additions will offer revellers the chance to party with their favourite artists, in a truly unique setting. Elsewhere there'll be exciting new collaborations with top club promoters Bugged Out, Secretsundaze, Zutekh and Drop The Mustard, not to mention boat parties hosted by Resident Advisor and Hot Chip. Also new for 2014, Unknown will be opening the main stage for an entire extra day, allowing for even more surprises set to surpass the success of last year's sell out debut.
Unknown Croatia unleash the first phase lineup for the 2014 installment which includes live performances from Scottish electro pop band Chvrches, the critically acclaimed Wild Beasts, Jungle, Mount Kimbie, James Holden, Ten Walls and many more. DJ showcases come from Resident Advisor’s No 1 DJ of 2013 Dixon, who is returning back from a memorable performance at Unknown’s debut event alongside the likes of TEED, Tale Of Us, Daniel Avery and Ame.
Further musical recruits include John Talabot, Seth Troxler, Bicep, Joy Orbison, Simian Mobile Disco, Michael Mayer, plus many more. Artists play across a diverse range of musical activities including daytime and evening events on boats, by the pool, deep in the forest and new for 2014, on nearby islands.
Art and performance were a highlight of Unknown’s first event and will be returning on an even grander scale in 2014 courtesy of Mad Ferret productions, Unit 44 and more. Also new to 2014, the main stage will be open a whole extra day giving more scope for live performances. With 25-30 flights a day leaving the UK for nearby airports, its easier than ever before to attend.

Today Unknown Croatia announces its return for 2014 as earlybird tickets go on sale. The highlight event of the summer will once again invite thousands of revelers to its stunning Adriatic setting with an ultimate soundtrack to match. This year Unknown Croatia curated one of the most unique line-ups of the summer as well as embracing all things mystical and creative with art installations by Kid Acne, Mad Ferret's Mirror World, pop-up folk bands and giant glitter fuelled walking octopuses. The inaugural Unknown Croatia is undoubtably one of the best ways to enjoy the final rays of sun in 2013. Set against turquoise waters and white sands, Unknown has again broken the boundaries of expectation welcoming the first ever Boiler Room Island to the Croatian event. Now a global entity, Boiler Room have streamed sets from legendary DJs to underground start ups throughout the world, inviting a select number of fans to an intimate DJ set which is streamed live to millions across the globe. Those unable to make it to Unknown will be able to tune in between 2pm and 6pm CET (1pm – 5pm GMT) to witness the party in real time.
Visible from the mainland but connected only by boat, Boiler Room Island will no doubt be the climax for an exclusive few at this years Unknown, with a capacity of just 120 people, tickets will be in high demand. Mercury Award nominees Django Django will make their inaugural appearance for Boiler Room at Unknown on Thursday 12th September, joined by acclaimed writer and industry insider Bill Brewster and We Love residents PBR Streetgang. Friday 13th welcomes a back to back set from the northern contingent, Glaswegian selector Jackmaster and DJ duo Optimo, completed by Fabric resident Craig Richards.
With Unknown just a week away, organisers have revealed day splits for this year's line-up. Tuesday sees world-class DJs and producers taking over the Forest, Mad Ferret and Unit 44 x Kid Acne stages with Erol Alkan, Jamie XX and Jackmaster, while on Wednesday the live performances kick off with Jessie Ware, TEED and The Horrors launching the Main Stage. Thursday welcomes the newly announced Boiler Room Island featuring Django Django and Friday opens with a paint fight on Main Stage before Disclosure, Lulu James, Jon Hopkins and more take to the stage to deliver an eclectic mix of house, soul and electronica to festival-goers all the way into to Saturday morning.
With only six days to go, excitement is mounting as artists and revellers travel from all sides of the globe with anticipation for what is set to be an idyllic end to the summer season. Set to be one the many highlights of Unknown Croatia, the first wave of boat parties have now been announced, featuring an amazing series of collaborations between promoters, labels and DJs. Setting sail daily during the week, the boat parties will be a truly intimate experience with big name artists taking to the decks as revelers party out in the open water. Respected electronic labels and promoters renowned for putting on the best nights will ensure that each boat party hits the water with a line-up of leading and emerging DJs, all ready to provide the soundtrack for the ultimate summer setting.
Taking the helm for the maiden voyage will be Nicola Bear, Tom Grainger and The Straight Up DJs, while that evening will see The Sonic Emporium and The Last Waltz delivering an elcectic mix of house and techno. Festival-goers are invited to board the 20 Years of Kompakt boat party as Michael Mayer and DJ Koze celebrate the legendary record label with a night of German electronica. Phantasy fans will be delighted as the London label will be hosting a boat with head honcho Erol Alkan alongside Daniel Avery and Justin Robertson. Jackmaster is joined by fellow Numbers' founder Spencer for Tweak-a-holic, which faces fierce competition when Jamie xx, Four Tet and Floating Points head out into to water with Wax:On. AME and Dixon will be out in full force as they curate their own boat party with the pair's Innervisions label. With a serious passion for cutting edge, electronic dance music Bugged Out round off the week in true style with Julio Bashmore and Paul Woolford, while John Talabot, Pional and Marc Pinol climb on board for the Hivern boat party. Since the unveiling of Unknown at the start of 2013, it has proven to be one of the most dominant forces on the Croatian horizon. Already equipped with a healthy programme of cutting edge live and electronic artists such as Jessie Ware, Disclosure, Richie Hawtin, The Horrors and Henrik Schwartz, the founders of Unknown now announce an additional five heavyweight artists to the bill and launch a brand new website. DJ acts Maceo Plex, Oneman and John Talabot will join live performances from London Grammar and Dutch Uncles in one of the most diverse and impressive line-ups of the summer. A new website complete with improved booking system is live today at unknowncroatia.com to facilitate purchases of all accommodation at the debut Unknown event.
Global techno star Maceo Plex tops the bill. Never before has an artist coined a sound as successfully and the past three years have seen Eric Estornel AKA Maceo Plex become one of the most in demand DJs on the circuit, with his Ellum Audio label providing an anthemic soundtrack for many dancefloors across the world.
John Talabot is a prominent Spanish luminary. His 2012 album has awarded him a deserved revival in the public eye and this special DJ show promises to be one of the highlights of Unknown’s debut event. Also on the DJ side of the proceedings, the dexterous Oneman will be onside to perform his genre breaking tactics. Infamous for his Rinse FM show and fabric 64, Oneman is a truly unique artist that continues to bend the rules.
Playing live will be the new cinematic pop trio London Grammar, tipped as the next big acts to blow by BBC Introducing and garnering comparisons with Florence & The Machine and The XX. Dutch Uncles will also perform fresh from the release of their debut album. Both artists join Unknown ahead of major tours this winter and offer a unique opportunity to witness raw and trailblazing artists riding the early waves of their success. Yet more live artists are set to be announced soon for Unknown.
The Unknown website relaunched today with an improved booking system to facilitate all accommodation requirements. Everything from camping to five star luxury apartments is available on the inclusive site in Rovinj, Croatia, where you can expect to find secluded forest areas, strung hammocks and secret stages.

Unknown is a new event from the experienced teams behind Hideout Festival, The Warehouse Project and Field Day. With over seventy-five artists and over twenty club and brand partners in total performing between 10th-14th September 2013, they have successfully co-created an inspiring and diverse event concept in the utopian setting of Croatia that continues to stimulate educated music lovers worldwide.
