Tennents Vital adds top dance artists

The countdown to Tennent’s Vital 2014 is now well and truly on, and with this summer’s hottest festival now only weeks away, Tennent’s NI and organisers MCD have added some top dance acts to the bill for Sunday 24th AugustKlangkarusselland Robin Schulz will appear alongside headliner David Guetta and Steve Angello on what promises to be an incredible night of EDM this August bank holiday weekend.
 
 
After the global success of their massive breakthrough hit SonnentanzKlangkarussell are getting ready to release their hotly anticipated debut album Netzwerk next month. The Austrian production duo’s debut single was a massive hit across Europe, and the vocal version of the track, Sun Don’t Shine feat. Will Heard reached no. 3 in the UK charts. With more than 22 million YouTube views under their belt and a rapidly growing fanbase, their Tennent’s Vital debut is sure to be unmissable.
 
DJ, producer and label owner Robin Schulz has risen from the underground club scene of his native Germany, to achieve huge breakthrough success with his remixes ofWaves by Mr. Probz, and Lilly Wood & The Prick’s Prayer in C, which topped charts across Europe. One of the most exciting new EDM talents around, he’s hugely in demand across the global club and festival scene, and is sure to get the party well and truly started at Boucher Road Playing Fields on Sunday 24th August.

Electronic music titans David Guetta & Steve Angello set for Tennents Vital

We are excited to announce that some of the biggest electonic music artists will join this years Tennents Vital.  

David Guetta will headline this year’s Tennent’s Vital on bank holiday weekend Sunday 24th August. He’ll be joined by fellow dance music icon Steve Angello. Bringing the atmosphere of some of the world’s biggest superclubs to Boucher Road Playing Fields, Tennent’s Vital fans are in for an unforgettable night of electronic music over the August bank holiday weekend.
 
Having recently headlined Ultra Music Festival in Miami, as well as securing a coveted new residency in Las Vegas, 2014 is already shaping up to be a landmark year for the prolific David Guetta. With numerous Top 10 singles, over 40 million fans on Facebook and 1 million UK sales of Titanium under his belt, he recently performed on the Great Wall of China and won the first ever Billboard award for Top EDM Artist. He scored another top ten hit with his recent single Shot Me Down, and with his 6th studio album due for release at the end of August, Tennent’s Vitalfans can expect to enjoy the freshest new dance anthems on Sunday 24th August.

A pioneer of the Stockholm underground turned icon of the global dance music scene, Steve Angello will also feature on the bill. From the billboard charts to the club floor, Angello is firmly at the top of his game having taken the reigns at famous stages across the globe. He boasts annual residencies for Ibiza’s most prestigious night spots, and recently joined BBC Radio 1’s impressive Residency line-up.

The Killers and Bastille set for Tennents Vital 2014

Tennent’s Vital is back for 2014 and Tennent’s Lager and MCD are hugely excited to announce that The Killers will bring the bright lights of Vegas to Boucher Road Playing Fields on Thursday 21st August when they headline Tennent’s Vital 2014. Joining them on the bill will be the hottest breakthrough act of the past year – very special guests, Bastille.
 
One of the biggest bands in the world, The Killers have sold over 20 million albums, headlined festivals across the globe, performed at the White House and amassed countless prestigious accolades including BRIT, NME and MTV Awards. Each of their four studio albums has topped the UK charts (the band ranks in the Top 3 of Amazon’s biggest selling artists of the past decade). Their epic, synth-driven rock ‘n’ roll and incredible energy make them one of the greatest live acts on the planet, and their highly anticipated return to Tennent’s Vital (they last played in 2007) is sure to be the hottest ticket of the summer.
 
 
Joining them on the bill are the biggest breakthrough act of the past year, Bastille,who burst onto the scene when their anthemic single Pompeii charted at number two. Tennents Vital lineup get bigger with The Undertones, Naughty Boy and more added

The biggest ever Tennent’s Vital just got bigger… With one week to go until tens of thousands of music fans descend on Boucher Road Playing Fields for three days of incredible live music, Tennent’s Lager and MCD are thrilled to reveal that Northern Irish legends The Undertones, the hugely in-demand rapper/songwriter/producer sensation Naughty Boy and Dublin rockers The Minutes will complete the Tennent’s Vital 2013 line-up. Organisers have also announced that the gates will open at 4.30pm each day over 14th – 16th August.
 
The three acts announced today complete an ultra-impressive bill bursting with the hottest acts on the planet. Tennent’s Vital 2013 kicks off on Wednesday 14th August, when Kings of LeonThe Vaccines, The Undertones and The Minutes take to the stage on the opening day. Snow Patrolplay a massive homecoming show (their only European date this summer) when they headline Day 2 of the festival, which also features Jazon Mraz, Kodaline and Foy Vance, with Avicii, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental, Naughty Boy and Tommy Trash continuing the party on Day 3.

Iconic punk/New Wave legends The Undertones are sure to receive a rapturous reception when they play Day 1 of Tennent’s Vital. The Derry band reformed in 1999 to the delight of music fans across the globe, winning over a new generation of fans with classics from their seminal back catalogue such as Teenage Kicks and Here Comes The Summer. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the release of their seminal debut single Teenage Kicks, and fans can look forward to hearing all the hits in Belfast next week.
 
After spending years penning and producing hits for the likes of Rihanna, Wiley, Professor Green and Chipmunk, Naughty Boy (aka producer Shahid Khan) deservedly emerged into the spotlight in his own right with the smash hit Wonder feat. Emeli Sandé. Its chart-topping follow-up La La La is currently dominating the charts as the tune of the summer, and has well and truly cemented his status as one of the hottest new rapper/producer stars around. Having co-written and produced Emeli Sandé’s record-breaking, million-selling Our Version of Events, the unstoppable pair team up once again on his hotly anticipated forthcoming single Lifted, with the Scottish songstress also lending vocals to his debut album Hotel Cabana, which also features a guest spot from fellow Tennent’s Vital act Tinie Tempah.
 
Dublin rockers The Minutes complete the line-up. Channelling raucous, high voltage garage rock ‘n’ roll with elements of the blues and gospel, they went down an absolute storm at Tennent’s Vital last year and will make a welcome return to Belfast this summer when they play Day 1 of the festival.

Avicii, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental set for third Tennents Vital 2013

Tennent’s Lager and MCD are extremely excited to announce that Tennent’s Vital 2013 will be the biggest EVER, with the festival extending to three days, with Avicii, Tinie Tempah, Rudimentaland Tommy Trash gearing up to descend on Belfast’s Boucher Road Playing Fields to continue the party on Friday 16th August. Organisers have also revealed today that top festival act The Vaccines have joined the bill for Day 1 (Wed 14th Aug).

Swedish dance megastar Avicii is one of the most in demand DJs and producers in the world, and will headline the third day of Tennent’s Vital. After making a big impression with hit single Seek Bromance in 2010 and his 2011 collaboration with David Guetta Sunshine, he was catapulted to global stardom by the Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling Levels, which dominated airwaves and dancefloors across the globe in 2012. Ranked no. 3 in the world’s top 100 DJs by dance bible DJ Magazine, he made history by becoming the first DJ to headline New York’s prestigious Radio City Music Hall, with tickets for one of the two sold-out shows snapped up in under a minute. Bringing his massive tunes and a touch of the super club atmosphere to the heart of Belfast, his Tennent’s Vitalheadline set is not to be missed.
 
Tinie Tempah is one of the biggest stars to emerge from the UK grime scene in recent times. His massive no.1 debut album Disc-Overy took the world by storm, spawning the smash hit singles Frisky, Miami 2 Ibiza, and the chart-topping Written in the Stars and Pass Out. A glittering array of prestigious awards – including multiple MOBOs, BRITs, Urban Music Awards, a UK Festival Award and the Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary Song for debut single Pass Out – are a testament to his major critical acclaim as well as his huge popularity as one of the freshest rappers around right now. He’s sure to get the crowd going at Boucher Road this August.
 
Also joining this year’s ultra-impressive Tennent’s Vital line-up are drum and bass stars Rudimental. The London four-piece rocketed to fame when their single Feel the Love topped the UK singles chart, before going on to become a multi-platinum smash hit success and earning them BRIT Award nomination for Best British Single. At the start of 2013 they returned to the number 1 spot withWaiting All Night, swiftly following up with a number 1 debut album.

With a plethora of his own carefully created anthems, Grammy-nominated Tommy Trash is also hugely in demand as a producer, having remixed for the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki and Zedd to name a few. Hailed as one to watch by Rolling Stone Magazine and MTV, he is the perfect addition to Day 3 of Tennent's Vital.  
 
With a repertoire packed full of feel-good festival anthems, The Vaccines’ high octane tunes are sure to go down a storm when they join Kings of Leon on the bill for Day 1 of Tennent's Vital. Rising to the top in 2011 with their phenomenal top-five debut album What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?,the band then went on to win the Best New Band award at the NME Awards in 2012 and score a number 1 album with their second record Come of Age. They’re supporting the Rolling Stones at their massive shows at London’s Hyde Park this July, and are sure to deliver an epic live set at Tennent’s Vital this summer.

Homecoming show for Snow Patrol at Tennents Vital

Tennent’s Lager and MCD are thrilled to reveal that Snow Patrol will return to Tennent’s Vital this summer to play a massive homecoming show at Belfast’s Boucher Road Playing Fields onThursday 15th August. In a major coup for organisers, the band’s headline slot on the Day 2 of the festival will be their only European date this summerKodaline and Foy Vance have also been added to the bill for Day 2 of Tennent’s Vital.
 
Snow Patrol played the very first Tennent’s Vital back in 2002, returned to headline in 2006, and now they’re set to receive a local hero’s welcome when they bring their epic festival anthems back home to Belfast this August. The five-piece soared to international stardom after releasing their chart-topping breakthrough album Final Straw, which yielded the band's first top 5 hit, Run and bagged them the inaugural Ivor Novello for Best Album in 2004. Its multi-platinum-selling, smash hit follow-up Eyes Open featured the epic Chasing Cars – a huge hit which was hailed Best Song of All Time by Virgin Radio listeners, number one song of the noughties by Channel 4 viewers and became the most played song of the decade in the UK.

Northern Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance made a big impression with his 2012 release The Melrose EP, and is set to follow it up with his new album Joy of Nothing this summer. Celebrated for his thought-provoking, powerful lyrics and spine-tingling vocals, he’s been hailed as one of the finest song-writers to emerge from Northern Ireland in recent years.
 
Last month organisers revealed that US rock giants Kings of Leon will headline Day 1 of the festival (14th August), with more top acts set to be revealed by organisers in the coming months.

The Southern rockers are the first act to be announced for the 2013 festival, which returns to Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast this August, with details of the second date and more exciting line-up news set to be unveiled by organisers next month.
 
After a two year hiatus, Kings of Leon are back and ready to make their long awaited live return to Europe this summer. The band posted images of their return to the studio on their official Facebook page last week, fuelling excitement amongst fans, with anticipation for details of their 6th album rapidly growing.

Eminem, Kaiser Chiefs, Jimmy Eat World and more for Tennant’s Vital

EminemTennent’s Vital is excited to announce that Kaiser ChiefsJimmy Eat WorldOdd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA) and D12 will be joining Eminem at Ward Park, Bangor on 24th August 2011.
 

Kaiser Chiefs return to Tennent’s Vital, having headlined the festival back in 2006. They shot to prominence in 2005 with indie anthems such as ‘I Predict A Riot’‘Everyday I Love You Less and Less’ and ‘Oh My God’.  Their debut album‘Employment’ was one of the best-selling LPs of that year. The follow-up ‘Yours Truly Angry Mob’ yielded their 1st no.1 single, ‘Ruby’Kaiser Chiefs hotly anticipated fourth album is due for release later this year.

Since their formation in 1994, Jimmy Eat World have enjoyed chart success and have toured with Foo Fighters, Weezer and Green Day.
